Commissioned Work:
Commissioned work, or 'quests,' colloquially, can refer to the jobs commissioned by almost any party. By categorising them, the quests could be distributed accordingly. A-ranked work would be assigned to a-ranked adventurers, for instance.
A quest in Evaidas valued at 1000 trinas, the minimum to pay to commission a job, to 20,000 trinas is rated to be D-rank. Any work that is 20,001-100,000 trinas are listed C-rank, 100,001-200,000 trina jobs were B-rank, and A-rank jobs, the most lucrative for guilds, were any jobs 200,001 or more.
This was not a standardised system. When Travis first came into office, he was disgusted by the fact that there was such a system already in place, a system that did not take into account the income and wealth inequality that the kingdom suffered constantly. After revision, wealthier areas would pay more for their commissions and poorer areas would pay less for theirs. It had taken months of just deliberation, nevermind implementation, but eventually he reached a consensus everyone was satisfied with.
"Master Vorn sir," Alex entered after knocking, "you've been sent a petition."
Or at least, as many as possible.
"Is it from the adventurers?" he asked without looking up.
"We haven't read it, sir."
"Open it, then, and read it. If it regards the recent adjustment to camping supply prices, reject it. If it regards complaints against a Guild Master, leave it on my desk for review."
After taking a minute, Alex looked back up from the letter. "It regards adventurer remuneration rates, sir."
"That is something you may handle then. Recite to me the adventurer remuneration rates of each category. Highest development to lowest."
"Wealthy areas are to pay adventurers 30% remuneration, developed areas 40%, average areas 55%, low-wealth areas 60% and undeveloped areas 70%."
General knowledge regarding an extensive range of guild duties was a must for all of Travis' assistants, and these rates happened to be one of many that they had to remember by heart.
Travis raised an eyebrow. "And on average across all of our guilds, how much do we pay adventurers?"
"An average of 60%, sir."
"Good. I trust you will bring your best judgement for the petition then."
