Chapter 10 - Harassment and Abuse Policy

Travis was committed to the health, safety and welfare of all his employees. He was almost ashamed at the inefficiency of his predecessor's intervention policy, which was among the first he had to revise upon first coming into office. Part of this revision was, once a year, sending a letter to every staff member regarding harassment.

To whom this may concern,

The Evaidas Guild Branch is the very centre of all guild activity throughout the kingdom. We aim to represent the very best of the Triparte Guilds, as well as to minimise the very worst of any quality. I am proud to say many of us uphold those values. But there will always be the few who ruin what we stand for through their intolerable behaviour. Let this be very clear: any form of harassment or abuse will not be tolerated in any capacity.

The Triparte Guilds is an organisation that aims to create a safe working environment that:

Treat its employees with the dignity, respect and courtesy that they are due

Raise awareness among and train employees to ensure that all staff know their rights and responsibilities

Provide effective procedures that will swiftly, effectively resolve and punish abuse and/or harassment in confidence

Encourage the immediate reporting of any and all behaviours of abuse and/or harassment

You will find not a single guild in this kingdom that tolerates any form of harassment or abuse, including but not limited to emotional, sexual, physical, or any other form of harassment or abuse.

Any form of harassment or abuse is a criminal offence, and if such grievances are not resolved in a timely, adequate manner, or that there has been evidence of insufficient effort put into the resolution of the grievances, it will be treated as such and reported to official law enforcement to be dealt with.

Should there be sufficient evidence that a guild staff member, of any station, has been involved in the harassment or abuse of any person, may they be a colleague, an adventurer and/or a family member, their employment contract with the Triparte Guilds will be immediately terminated and their name put into the Triparte Guilds Blacklist.

It is the responsibility of all guild staff to:

Act in a manner that upholds the dignity, respect and courtesy due for themselves and all others

Report any form of harassment or abuse immediately

Promote the Anti-Harassment and Abuse Policy within their work area

Treat all complaints with the seriousness, respect and timeliness that it deserves

Refer complaints to appointed Anti-Harassment and Abuse Officers if there is a conflict of interest

Maintain complete confidentiality of all involved parties should they be called to provide testimony

Should you believe yourself a victim of harassment or abuse, immediately refer to your appointed Anti-Harassment and Abuse Officer(s) to have your circumstances reviewed and have suggested actions.

Seminars regarding harassment and abuse will be held in four sessions, split into three groups:

Seminar Group 1 will attend sessions on the fifth (5th), sixth (6th), seventh (7th) and eighth (8th) days of March

Seminar Group 2 will attend sessions on the twelfth (12th), thirteenth (13th), fourteenth (14th) and fifteenth (15th) days of March

Seminar Group 3 will attend sessions on the nineteenth (19th), twentieth (20th), twenty-first (21st) and twenty-second (22nd) days of march

Attendance at these seminars is mandatory and all staff members who do not attend will be subject to review.
