Chapter 13 - Promotion Applications

Travis signed off on a parchment, placed it in a pile with the others, then picked up another. Strange, that he ended up picking an adventurer promotion application. These were supposed to be handled by the adventurer promotions handlers, not himself (unless in a special case). Still, while it was on his desk he may as well deal with it.

He placed a hand on his Conduit and accessed the information on her. The information was then displayed like a projection on the desk itself, floating just above the surface along with the picture of the adventurer in question.

C-904 Porasta, Lina

Lina Porasta is a C-rank, 904-point adventurer. Registered with the Evaidas Guild Branch on June 13th, 125th cycle.

Registered Skills:

Lina possesses notable skill with a longsword, as well as limited martial arts ability. She is experienced in animal handling, hunting, foraging and agricultural work, with limited experience in exo-hunting expeditions and artefact-gathering operations.

Conduct:

Lina is noted to conduct herself professionally. She has avoided confrontations where possible and reported grievances to proper authorities. She has little trouble fitting into a hierarchical structure in guild-organised expeditions and appears to work well with unknown adventurers.

Commissions:

Lina is an active adventurer, accepting two-to-three commissions per week. She has an 80% commissions completion rate, with notable achievements in hunting and foraging. As part of her adventuring group, Lina has a commissions completion rate of 83%.

Adventuring Group:

Lina is part of the adventuring group B-ACL-1-093, designation "New Moon" alongside Alexander and Charlie. The party was formed on December 15th, 125th cycle. The group is B-rank as of November 17th, 130th cycle.

Adventurer Comments:

Notable comments from adventurers and adventuring groups note that she is easy to work with and quite professional. Although quite distant, she has no issues communicating and working with adventurers outside of her immediate acquaintance.

Additional Comments:

Lina is a competent adventurer with a range of skills and has a clear familiarity with rules, procedures, guidelines, and conduct expected of competent adventurers. Her active participation in accepting guild commissions is of note, and her success rate also speaks in her favour. Overall, a sound adventurer.

There were no significant problems to bar her registration, Travis decided. He also decided that there was no need to forward this to him. He placed a hand on a button on his desk to call for an assistant, and Alex came in shortly after.

"I found there was an adventurer promotion application on my desk," he said. "Who was it delivered by and for what justification?"

"Mr Jerald Outre from the Adventurers Oversight Department, sir. He claims that Ms Darla Imni's work was unsatisfactory and that they could not reach a positive outcome. He wanted you to review it. I know such mundane work is not to be forwarded to you sir, but my mind felt it was the best course of action."

Travis brought up the two individuals' employee notes within the deep recesses of his mind. It took merely a second to bring up all information regarding them, from their skills to their addresses and everything in between.

Alex stayed in the doorway, waiting for Travis' response. He's worked long enough with his boss by now to know not to leave without a clear dismissal.

"Please call Ms Darla Imni to my office immediately. And Alex. Well done. If my suspicions are correct, you were correct to forward it to me."

Alex looked down, pleased and slightly embarrassed, before thanking him and leaving.
