Pressing on the hidden mechanism, Eduard saw the sun light start to pour into the passage, walking out he saw the sun was high in the sky overhead, making his eyes squint. It had been at least half a day since he had fallen asleep in that shrine, Eduard reached up, groping at the horns sticking up from his once smooth head, also feeling at his slightly more pointed ears. A sigh escaped his lips, what do I do now return to society, no not with this appearance, and even if he was still human, he truly did hate other humans, their greed and extensive squabbling always made him despise them, but now he really had no choice. He was no longer human, his body was that of a demon and his mind did now seem to hold even more aggression towards humans than he had before a deep seeded despise of them.
Eduard in a slightly somber mood cheered up when he thought of his sudden strength gain alone with this change, he would not need to worry about bandits or highwaymen any longer and he could if what Lilly said was true fight head on with an entire squad of elites.
Deciding to test his new body Eduard moved towards a stout tree and pivoting his hips he punched towards it with all the strength his body could muster.
BOOM
The tree that one man couldn't wrap his arms around exploded wood chips bark and leaves flying in all directions. With a loud crash what was left of the tree fell and birds scattered in all directions. Looking at his fist in disbelief Eduard smirked this was power this is his father had thrown away because he lacked it but now he could fight anyone and win, a confidence unique to elite demons welled up inside him, and he swore to himself he would never bow his head again. Pulling his sword from its scabbard he swung it horizontally a light came out from it and three trees fell cut clean through loud crashes echoed out. This time enchanting himself with his demonic aura and his sword he swung it the black blade glowing with dark light. A long slash ten foot deep was cut into the ground throwing dust into the air. A smirk came across his face turning to a wide grin. This is what he wanted his whole life. "I hold the power, I decide my own fate not those measly humans." he said out loud, but then chuckled, ``I was not human that long ago." chuckling at himself he looked towards the now setting sun and started moving towards the north.
Walking in the dark was very comfortable for Eduard now, feeling like he was the predator in the darkness. He walked, his red eyes shining in the darkness giving off a slight demonic aura. As Eduard trudged further north through the forest, wolves approached him, coming within 30 feet they stopped, A smile appeared on Eduard's face.
"I hate wolves" he grumbled, pulling his sword free from the sheath, its black luster glittered in the moonlight. The smile turning slightly ferocious he sprain forward injecting his demonic energy into the sword he swung it, cleaving the wolves the bushes, shrubs and trees within a 30 foot radius into bits. Eduard a little tired sheathed his sword, a crease coming across his forehead he sighed, "next time I shouldn't use so much demonic energy" he grumbled. Taping his ring he looked at his stats and saw that he had nearly used a fourth of his pool of energy.
Walking on through the night Eduard found that by morning his demonic energy had recovered. Moving further along through the woods during the night, he had come upon a road.
Looking at it, it seemed like there had been traffic on the road recently, seeing as the road headed further north he decided to follow it.
