Wham!
He appeared in the realm of humans, inside his shrine. As an elderly lady passed by, mopping the floor. She sensed his presence and immediately looked over to Hachiman.
"Sir, this is sacred grounds. Therefore, I advise you to take your leave, please."
He kept a straight facing, staying still, not answering. Finally, it prompted the lady to speak again.
"The wishing wall is outside if that's what you're looking to find. However, I will have to contact the authorities if you are here for something else." She informed him again.
"Uhh." Hachiman sighed, facing the old lady.
"Behold, human, for you are in the presence of Hachiman, The God of War. Fear not. I mean no harm." He stretched his arms as the old lady fell to her knees with tears.
"My blessed lord. Oh, I yearned to see you. To hear your divine words is my greatest wish." Her tears streamed down her face.
"Heed to my words, human, be well." Then, he vanished from her sight. Crying, she tried to grasp the moment she had prayed for for years.
"Shit, I just wasted my time. But, I also granted her wish." He smiled, flying over to the massive negative energy friction.
"I can sense them feed on humans from here!" Hachiman said to himself as he finally grasped sight of the humongous phantom. As he stood still in the air, his jaw dropped in shock over the size of the Evil Spirit. "It's well over a hundred feet!" He analyzed the spirit and quickly called.
"Spear of Battle!"
In his left hand, the spear appeared. However, this time he had gone out without his shield.
"This should be over in a second..." He said to himself, gliding down through the sky. First, he stretched his spear in front of himself. Then, aiming for the head of the deformed spirit, he noticed that it resembled a centipede. "Gross!" He remarked as the phantom took notice of him.
"Ah." It grunted, turning its head to face him.
Kabosh!
He drilled with his body and spear through the head of the centipede phantom.
"No, gross! it has green blood!" He shook around in disgust.
While causing a commotion over the blood, he saw that this spirit differed.
"The regeneration capability this one has is rapid!" He said to himself as he enchanted the expelling spell. "Well, whatever." He noted, descending, aiming for its left a hundred legs, slicing through all of them, the phantom fell on its side with a roar of agony.
"Gahhh!"
It held its human-like hands up to its face. The eyes finally began regenerating. The centipede phantom extended the hands, and ball-shaped negative energy took form. However, it was far too late for any attack against Hachiman.
"Let's skip being cool and do the shorter version," he said, allowing his spear to vanish with the array of light.
"Van-" Hachiman tried to enchant as a mysterious sidekick flew past across the face.
"That was fast. Who was it?" He said to himself as he looked over to find a human-like being levitating in mid-air.
"Who're you?" He asked the person who hid behind his coat of fabric.
"No need for formal intros, Hachiman of War." The dark figure spoke.
"He's different," Hachiman noted to himself as he tried to finish his expelling spell purposely.
"Van-"
"I don't think so, God."
His leg flew over the ducked Hachiman's face. Hachiman held a tight grip on his leg and used the momentum to send the individual flying meters away until he seized in mid-air and levitated.
"Why are you in such a haste, War God." The individual pulled their hands out of the long-sleeved coat, only to shrug at him.
"Human-like hands?" Hachiman said as he noticed the frail hands of this individual.
"Come on. Come on. I want this phantom!" He said while Hachiman considered a conversation with him,
"And for what purpose?" He asked.
"Hmm." The person pondered. "That's a secret!"
"Ahh." Hachiman sighed as he looked back down at the centipede phantom. "It regenerated everything in this short amount of time?" He asked himself in shock at the healed spirit.
"No wonder they're after it," Hachiman said out loud as he enchanted.
"Spear of Battle."
Making an aim for the centipede's neck, he was stopped short because of the incoming leg strike.
"Oops, close," Hachiman said as he avoided the strike.
"Come on, War God. Give it to me, and we'll part ways unharmed." The individual seemed to have high confidence in his abilities.
"If he didn't, why would he boast about not wanting to fight?" Hachiman asked himself as he turned his attention over to the individual.
"Fine."
"Really, thanks!" The individual celebrated an empty victory.
"I guess I will deal with you first, evolved Evil Spirit." Hachiman stared him down. Bloodlust filled his eyes as he pointed in his direction.
