Chapter 24 - Chapter 22: Energy

"Here you go, my lord." Miko came into the room after some while. Carrying a tray containing cookies and tea, she placed it in front of her master, sitting on the ground. "Anything else?" She asked the pair politely while slightly staring at Hakai. Whose actions only displayed utter stupidity.

"Oi, Hachiiii!" He sang his name for a while. "Hachi! Can we train now?" He asked him while lying upside down, stomping his feet onto the thin wall.

"Shut up, will you!" Hachiman scolded him while specs of spit got all over Hakai's face. "Thanks, Miko. Go rest, please." He instructed Miko while trying to calm himself down. He was inspecting important heavenly sent scrolls containing a lot of information about the unfolding events.

"Yes, as you desire, my lord." Miko bowed slightly. While getting up, she focused her attention on the fool of a man, Hakai.

"Miko-Chan." Hakai stopped her as he wiped his feet all over the wall. "Wanna play a game?" He asked her while getting up on his knees.

"What game?" She confusingly asked while looking back at him.

"Shogi, Shogi!" He proposed with excitement.

"Ehh? But-" she said with an exhausted expression turning to face him.

"Can I have some cookies?" He asked the busy Hachi with a smile. At the same time, Miko seemed to get lost in her assessment and judgment.

"You aren't bright at such games!" She shouted inside her mind. In contrast, Hakai caused a great deal of annoyance to Hachi.

"Hey, come on. Just one!" Hakai cried as Hachi deferred the tray from his grasp. "Hachiii, don't be a meanie!" He cried out as Hachi grasped his face. "Oh, come on, let go!" Hakai cried out as he reached his arms for the tray behind Hachi's back.

"Hey, stupid, stop!" Hachi screamed as Hakai came close, leaning back the two almost fell.

"What should I do? Should I let him win or beat him again?" Miko contemplated while watching her master fight off the hungry Hakai.

"Hey, stop!" Hachi cried as he loosened his grip on Hakai's face. Then, with his immense speed, Hakai stood up and appeared behind Hachi to steal some cookies, seeing the present opportunity.

"Gotcha!" He said while drooling. Hakai reached his arm and tried to grab some. However, Hachiman stuck his hand behind himself and over the batch of cookies.

"No, no." Hachi ticked.

"How? I was certain he was too busy with the papers and didn't see me!" Hakai assessed while looking at his hand that reached behind his back.

"You think I couldn't perceive how slow you were?" Hachiman teased him, looking back with a grin.

"That's the God of War for you," Hakai said as he sat back down. "Tch." He looked away.

"You can have some, not all," Hachi said while turning around to continue the important business.

"Really? Thanks, thanks!" Hakai said, grabbing a handful and placing one in his mouth. Then, getting up, he funnily ran toward Miko while holding his cookies in two hands. "Miko, Miko. Let's play, let's play!" He repeated, full of energy.

"Yes, yes." She said with a soft chuckle.

"What! No way!" Hakai cried over the shogi board. "You're so good, you're too good, Miko!" He shouted while holding his head in frustration.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" She apologized while laughing at him. "It was a tough battle!" She praised his efforts even though it was an easy win for her.

"Right, right!" He shouted with a bright face. "Oh, I know!" He called while getting up from the ground. "I have a fitting title for you!' He said while holding his index finger up high. "You shall be called, The Goddess of Shogi from now on!" He yelled while shouting at her.

"What?" She said while taken back. The two broke into laughter, and Hachiman remained lost in the scrolls.

"Ok, I will be going now." She parted off while carrying the shogi board.

"Hmm, hmm. Thank you, Miko-Chan!" Hakai waved her off with a big smile.

"Hey, Hachiiii! Are you done yet?" Hakai cried out as he sat back down.

"Hmm, as a matter of fact, yes." He said while standing up and stretching out.

"Really?" Hakai reassured as he got up with a big ol' smile.

"Yes, follow me," Hachi said as he turned around and walked out of the room.

"Alright!" Hakai screamed from the top of his lungs with excitement bumping his knuckles together.

"Where we are going, where we are going?" He repeated, asking Hachi as they walked down the long hall.

"You'll see," Hachi said while he faced down. As Hachiman suddenly stopped, Hakai bumped into his back. "Ow! A little warning?" He yelled at the unphased Hachiman, who opened a sliding door leading to a massive backyard.

"Your training will take place here." He said as he held the door to beautiful scenery.

"Really? How beautiful!" He admired the place while running out to survey the location.

"Nice, nice!" He smelled flowers. Then his attention went to the pond, the fountain, and the chippering birds on a massive tree.

"Hey, get down!" Hachiman screamed at him to get down from the tree and stop bothering natural life.

"Okay!" He shouted while jumping down. Then, landing next to Hachi's face, he stood up and displayed a bright smile. "What's next?" He asked with an excited look.

"Next, we will learn about energy!" He said with a focused look.

"Really? I came here to maintain stamina, not to get educated!" Hakai complained.

"Well, what do you think stamina is?" He asked Hakai. "What do you really know about all the energies and their use?" He asked Hakai again while crossing his arms.

"I uh-" Hakai stopped with a dumbfounded expression.

"Exactly." Hachi asserted while looking down and closing his eyes. "Energy is a matter that traverses the cosmos." He explained to the now seated Hakai. "There are four types of energy manipulated and used currently." He further explained the topic at hand. "Nature, negative, positive, and physical." He explained with a heavy tone. "You are a positive and physical energy user. That's our main focus." He explained. "Now, listen!" He shouted at Hakai, who paid attention to Hachi's words for the first time.
