In the large field, a group of people could be seen escaping from something. They were running fast and behind them was a blond boy.
He was tall and had sharp features, making him look handsome.
Before, a soft smile was hung on his face but now, there was only a rigid and grim face, revealing his seriousness.
On his left cheek was a glaring red symbol, indicating fire rising into the sky as if it wanted to devour everything.
He was James, the other hunter.
He was currently doing his job as a hunter and was no longer messing around. Instead, with a serious face, he was defeating people one by one. Sometimes, the fight wouldn't take long, ending in only about a few seconds but other times, it would take long as his pyro ability wasn't much powerful or extremely offensive like Rachel's.
If described, his ability would be a balanced type that allowed its user to defend, attack, and even improve the speed of its owner.
So, the fights would occasionally take long but with his a bit better experience in fighting than the others, James was always able to come out victorious, even when he faced three students ganging on him.
As James cast his eyes on the next victim, he saw a black-haired dude. He seemed average, therefore, he didn't pay any attention to him and completely went for the offensive.
He just went past him and as he did, his fist punched his opponent's sides slightly.
Although it was a punch, it wasn't intended to harm the person. When it reached the student's body, the punch, although it didn't harm the student, it immediately made him fall onto the ground.
After doing that, he didn't spare any glance at the student before going for his next prey. For James, it wasn't much of a difference whether this person existed or not. He was only becoming points for his race against Rachel.

Looking at how easily he fell to the ground, Kirt smiled bitterly before standing up with the support of his hands.
The ground wasn't much dirty so there was no need to pat his clothes.
Since Kirt was a pure long-range fighter, he obviously sucked in close combat and since he also didn't have much will to attack the opponent from far, he was defeated very quickly by the hunter.
Not a surprising result.
Just after taking a look at the hunter and also Rachel, Kirt got ack to the bench before looking back at the stone he was currently holding.
After inspecting it for a while, he threw it into his pocket before closing his eyes and waiting for the class to end.
...
In the classroom, after all classes have ended and the students were either hanging out with others or going back to their homes, Kirt took out his notebook.
Then, he calmly drew a seal on the notebook using the pen as a medium; he could also use other things such pens and sticks to draw seals just that it might be harder. After the small three-star seal had been successfully constructed on the notebook, he tore the piece of paper it was drawn on and then stuck it into his pocket before catching up with Jade and others on the way home.
On the train, Kirt took out the small stone and the piece of paper casually before wrapping the stone with the piece of paper. The seal was now currently wrapping it, but, it wasn't sealing it.
So, Kirt controlled the seal to separate it from the paper and actually wrap it around the stone. Then, as he controlled it, the seal slowly fit into size before wrapping the stone from all sides, making it shine a blue glow.
The others didn't seem to notice his movements at all as they continued being on their phones or chatting with each other.

After arriving at home, Kirt changed into his home clothes before taking out the stone he sealed to inspect it.
It was the first thing that he sealed so he was about to test many things on it.
Firstly, he touched the stone and carefully felt the physical feeling it gave him. As he expected, he was unable to truly touch the stone. Instead, just like two magnets repulsing each other, he felt a force preventing him from touching the stone.
As people could see it, they can obviously know what the reason was.
So, a question arose in his mind, 'Can I make the seal invisible?'
He tried, but failed. It just made him feel more tired making him feel the expenditure of soul power. However, since it expended soul power, it meant that it was possible; it was just that he currently wasn't able to do it.
Either lack of comprehension about it or his soul power was not sufficient. He didn't know which one but it still represented a possibility so he just needed to continue improving until he could make it.
Second, Kirt closed his eyes and threw it somewhere else randomly. He was seeing if he could sense its location.
Well, technically, he wasn't able to as the one who created it. But with the fluctuations the seal was currently giving off, he was able to.
Third, it was on breaking the seal.
With a calm gaze, Kirt held up a wooden stick before hitting the sealed stone with it.
"Pa!" he imagined a sound but none came. Yet, it felt just as if he had hit a solid wooden board; it didn't sway at all.
Then, afterwards, he hit it several times and only after many tries did he see the seal weakening. However, this wasn't just because of the attacks.
Instead, it was also because it had been quite some time since the seal had been constructed. Hence, it was weakening off on its own. Well, he can't also deny the contribution of him hitting it continuously.
So the result was that physical attacks did influence the seal. However, it was on a small scale and if he were to strengthen the seal more with his soul power, the earlier attacks he did won't affect it at all.
After that, he tried it with his esper ability. As expected, it also worked. Also on a smaller extent but at least, it worked better than the physical attacks

Two days passed quietly as Kirt was on his way returning to home. During the time, all he did was spend his time wastefully. He would play God's Lore most of the time and in the remaining, he would just scroll through youtube, watching some videos.
Besides that, he also practiced his seals. However, the time he practiced it wasn't much. Only about a few tens of minutes.
After all, learning seals weren't much interesting and except the tasks which he currently can't do, the system had nothing for him to do. Therefore, the time was really just wastefully spent.
The only unusual thing that happened was that his parents didn't come home yesterday. However, he paid no attention to it as it was a usual thing by now.
So, after arriving home, he put down his backpack and changed his clothes.
And just as he was going to the kitchen after changing his clothes to get a thing to eat, something sounded by the door.
*Knock, knock*
