[New Task: Kill a living creature (New seal)]
Looking at the notification that popped up when he touched the mouse with the power level of 1, Kirt stood there before saying a word.
"Tasks"

[Task]
Kill a living creature (New seal)

'What does it intend for me to do?' Kirt pondered deeply about the task and why it suddenly came up.
...
Perhaps, soul and intent is the key part?
If so, does that mean the system can view and know what I'm currently doing...
Before, even if he touched other living creatures, such as other people, this task wasn't triggered. Yet, it came up right away after he touched this mouse.
Due to not having touched any animals ever since the system came up, he didn't know if what he touched influenced it. However, it might just be because of his intent, he was guessing. Not really sure about it but he was half certain this truly was the case.
Anyway, he will now do what he wanted to.
First, testing the only seal he knew, the Seal of Inanimate, on it. The result was that it worked, surprisingly.
Something could be derived from this, it was that, seals doesn't only work on the things its name implied. So, he has to be cautious about using it, else, he might get in trouble.
Perhaps, since the monsters only interacted with the seal using their physical body, it had such an influence? Does that mean the seal corresponding to the living concentrates on the mind of another, their soul?
This description is very similar to the knowledge I received before, that living things are immensely different from inanimate things because they can think.
Kirt saw no abnormal behavior on the white mouse in his hands.
'As expected of an animal...'
Thinking this, Kirt's eyes gradually turned cold before he placed the mice with the power level of 1 on the desk before him.
Then, he pulled out the knife beside him and took a look at the creature once again. It was currently drugged by him, unable to exert any power.
The mouse had brown fur covering its body, with jet black eyes and pale black claws along with a not so long scaly tail; it was a domesticated mouse neither meant to be a pet nor for any cultivation purposes.
It was usually bought by people to make their children more accustomed to taking lives, of course, not all parents did that. After all, technology had developed and people could survive fine in this society without using any elemental powers.
After taking out the knife, Kirt steeled his resolve before starting to cut the mouse. Due to being drugged, its senses were dulled. However, even with dull senses, it clearly felt pain. So, it shrieked out, only to encounter Kirt flinching.
"Haaa..." letting out air from his mouth, it was evident that Kirt was shaking internally.
He had killed bugs and animals before, it was so that he can strengthen his mentality. However, he soon gave up on it and decided to do it later; his reason? He simply couldn't take it.
Especially when the animal was getting cut and tortured by him.
With a bit of shaking hand, Kirt then raised the knife once again and then cut into the belly of the mouse, this time clearly having more determination.
The stomach of the mouse was cut open, revealing its internal structure. Its bones and its organs.
It was a bloody and gruesome scene, making anyone shake, along with the pitiful shrieks of the mouse. Even the trained psyche of Kirt shook a bit, as he hadn't yet tortured any animals like this before.
Once the shrieks of the mouse became quieter and quieter, the room soon descended into silence.
...
On the desk was a mouse's four legs severed with its main body having its stomach cut open while on the chair was a 14-year-old child sitting with his eyes concentrated on the carcass on top of the table.
His pupils would shake from time to time but his body was completely let loose, leaning onto the chair.
After five minutes of staring at the mouse's carcass, the child slowly stood up. However, when Kirt took control of his body again, uncontrollably, it once again started to shake.
Forcefully keeping the shaking to a minimum, Kirt left the room and entered the bathroom.
Staring at the toilet for some time, he puked into it a little before flushing it. Then, he cleaned himself up before leaving the bathroom.
Once Kirt stepped out of the bathroom, he was no longer shaking anymore. His eyes were normal as his body slowly moved into his own room.
Fortunately, Kirt was a quick adapter. With his past experience of killing creatures along with today's torture, he has already adapted to the situation, becoming accustomed to it.

"Learn Seal of Energy"
Right after Kirt had uttered those words, a rush of memories entered his mind, making him enter a trance state for a while. Once he had processed those information, he finally stood up before constructing a rough image inside of his mind.
Then, he roughly drew its lines and structures onto air. Although it failed, Kirt now had a general gist on the seal.
So, he decided to leave the matter there before he proceeded to enter the room where the mouse laid dead.
Beside it was also another brown mouse along with a white cat.
Calmly walking over, Kirt placed the mouse and its limbs onto his palm, making a complete mouse. However, even though the mouse's body was whole, it was obvious there was space between its body and limbs.
Now that Kirt sensed it, he could clearly feel a substance floating above the dead body of the mouse. He couldn't see, smell, hear, or even touch it. Yet, he could sense its feeling.
Growing cautious, Kirt concentrated on the sense he was sensing the substance with.
Unfortunately, no matter how much he tried, there didn't seem to be much development in the direction. Perhaps, he will need to practice this sense more and more until he could clearly feel the presence of this thing.
'Is this perhaps the soul ? ...'

"... Mr. Kirt, the price for this apartment and the furniture combined is 790,000 Ekters. The Fein company is willing to buy it at an appropriate price of 800,000 Ekters" the person before Kirt said as he pushed a paper towards Kirt.
After carefully reading the terms of the contract, Kirt grabbed the pen before him and signed down his name.
