Chereads / Infinity Sealing System / Chapter 22 - Registering

Chapter 22 - Registering

'I have plenty of time, at least 3 weeks' Kirt immersed himself in seals once again.

...

Time passed quietly as two weeks passed and the time for the national test soon came close.

Currently, Kirt was incessantly drawing seals in the dark realm, trying to achieve something. Yet, no matter how much he tried, they didn't work at all, all of them ending in failure.

However, Kirt could feel himself coming closer and closer with every try. The fortunate thing was that his soul energy didn't decline in this dark realm. So, with zeal, he kept trying and trying until he can finally make it!

'Tomorrow is Monday of October 10049...'

'It is finally coming. Tomorrow will be the day I will receive my qualification and two days after that will decide the next four years of my life. Fortunately, during the time, my ability has improved steadily and reached the stage of 3, even though it hasn't changed in nature'

...

In front of the Stadium of Mappa.

A crowd of people were currently standing, divided into three rows. They mostly consisted of children at the age of 14 and while some of them had adults besides them, most of them were on their own.

With the cold, people could be seen using pyro abilities to keep themselves warm. After all, it was the cold season; and it was even snowing! Therefore, many people had heat pads that contained pyro elementals within their hands.

As a person with a pyro ability at the power level of 3, Kirt didn't need any heat pads. He currently had a thin layer of elementals formed above his skin, shielding him from any cold.

Due to being hidden by his clothes, no one noticed the abnormality.

Not that they would care even if they did notice as others could also be seen doing the same.

While Kirt was currently looking through the place, he noticed a person. The person was one with striking red hair, sharp eyes, and brows that seemed to appear cold and evil.

Just from how he showed himself made Kirt get reminded of who he was.

Woist. An infamous bully that was always accompanied with a group along with him.

One time, Kirt had noticed him beating up three people along with one other besides him. During the time, the two suddenly walked into the school grounds during lunch time and seemed to want to meet with a person from their school.

However, he suddenly turned towards a group of three just before entering the school. Then, he beat them up single-handedly before going away. He seemed to have noticed them talking or glancing at him.

The fact that no one had stopped him during the time even when there were many others witnessing it just showed how loose the school's, no, the world's attitude was towards such things.

Of course, Kirt was one of the people who witnessed it; but he just didn't want to get into any trouble because of it. Therefore, he didn't participate in it at all.

After recognizing him, Kirt looked away quite hurriedly and directed his gaze into another direction. He just knew how sensitive this person was towards such glances now that he had opened his soul vision.

A purple fog could be seen extending from the eyes of Woist as they stayed around his eyes, feeling every gaze that came looking to it.

Occasional striking purple lines would also come out suddenly, indicating the electro currents that were unleashed.

Soul vision was something he had acquired after his soul strength advanced to 1.4. Ever since he began comprehending seals, especially when he tried developing a new seal, his soul strength and his control over it increased tremendously, gradually pushing it towards the border of 1.4.

Just two days before, it had finally crossed the line and increased by a value of 0.1, reaching 1.4. Along with the boost, he also gained the ability to soul vision which allowed his soul to extend beyond his body and view the outside world.

It was sensitive to things regarding the soul; however, by using it, he could also highlight or ignore certain things.

For example, by using his soul power, he can control certain parts of his physical body more efficiently, making them sensitive to things. In this part, he had enhanced his visual abilities and its relation to the Isor, the body part that controls elementals, resulting in him being sensitive to elements.

So, it could be seen that things other than elementals were displayed in a gray color while the elements were highlighted by their respective colors - purple for electro.

One rule that stated, only things concerning the same domain can affect each other. Of course, things that concern the existential point would be able to affect practically everything.

'Who knows, this madman just might create a commotion out of the nowhere the next few moments'

Fortunately, the thing Kirt was worried about didn't happen.

...

"2 elementals? Who is it?"

"The person seems to be female, and is currently right beside the second row's table, testing her ability"

"What was her power level?"

"Didn't notice that. There, see for yourself" hearing a conversation, Kirt looked towards the second row.

Due to the distance between each row, he was able to get a rather clear view. What he saw was a young girl with two of her hands in front of her, resting on the monument in front of her. The monument was made from special metal that detected the energy she was radiating and showed its details.

The girl had faint white-blue hair, with some pink between, tied into a high ponytail. She had straight-cut bangs, with two frontal pieces of her hair on the sides, separated. She radiated a gentle aura and the expression she had reminded people of shy girls.

On the metal monument was currently the number - 4, with two signs beneath it.

A white orb that seemed to separate into two pieces, creating a gentle flowing yin and yang symbol except there was neither any black color nor any dots within it. Just two white fish, revolving around each other with a bit of space between themselves, not fully connected to each other.

The other was a blue circle that had a dot inside it, with space between the circle and the dot. The dot wasn't small either, and it had a steep line connecting itself with the circle outside. The line began thick at the start but gradually, it turned thinner and thinner before reaching the dot.

These two were respectively the Psychno and Hydro elements' symbols.

Once the symbols had materialized, a word slowly revealed itself under the symbols.

"Euol"

"A powerful competitor. Although she is of the support, I'm sure she has a powerful offense pairing with him" Kirt heard a voice say that not much far from him.

Turning his head around, he could see two people talking to each other. They discussed the girl and seemed to take her as their competitor.

'They have a goal... That means they are powerful' a glint passed through Kirt's eyes as he turned his head around and waited for his turn.

...

Not long after, it was my turn.

"Next"

After I heard the word, I stepped forward and looked at the cold metal monument with gray color.

It was nothing special, just a bit taller than myself and was shaped like a rectangular prism except its edges were smooth.

I raised both of my hands and then touched the monument, feeling its coldness. It felt rather refreshing as I started to focus and gather elementals from the surroundings. I felt no reaction whatsoever from the start to the finish but I still continued gathering elementals for 10 seconds before pulling back my hands.

Now, what was in front of me was a clear number 3, with a red symbol beneath it.

It was the symbol concerning the pyro element, with fire rising into the sky, and three dots on its two sides and below it.
