Chapter 14 - Three-star Seal

The rest of the journey was normal. He arrived at his school safely and then got into his classroom. On the way, he encountered nothing abnormal nor had any people coming to question about the thing that happened.

So after he was in the classroom, he calmed down and recounted the events that had happened.

It was important to recount such things so that he will be guarded against it in the future.

And just as he was recounting did he remember a detail. It was quite trivial but at the same time, it was also important.

It was that there was police when the event happened. Not just one, there were even two. However, they didn't try to interfere with the case at all.

Who knows how much power their families hold for the two cops to just watch on from the sides as the white-haired girl crushed the two drunkards.

Honestly, he only encountered such situations a few times but they weren't to this extent at all. He only saw scenes like these appear in novels.

Fortunately, the event was drastic but it didn't affect his daily life much. It only gave him a lesson which was not to be muddleheaded at all times; lest he ends up like those two drunkards.

Luckily, he was clear-headed all the time. Just that his body was shaking slightly. So when he concentrated to stop the shaking of his body, he had skipped over the detail of the cops. Not to mention the crowd was also blocking his vision.

After sighing to himself, he flipped open his study book and once again began the repetitive study.

...

It was Tuesday today. Year 10049's 7th October.

The year was counted from the creation of this world. It referred to the God of Matter separating a part of his body to create the world and the Goddess of Spirit also separating a part of her to create life.

After finishing school, Kirt went back to his home as usual. There was no one inside so it meant that his parents were arriving late once again. Well, not that he minded either; they had just returned from a vacation and had to catch up on work after all.

So, after entering his room and closing the door, he went into the dark realm and started constructing his seal.

He first drew out the base - the circle. It wasn't necessary in seals but it could make the difficulty easier so he was doing it. Then, he lightly tapped three places within the circle, perfectly placed right in the middle of the circle.

After that, he started connecting the dots, eventually making a triangle shape. He drew a small circle within it and it seemed just as if it was about to be successful.

Ever since he learned that the dark realm seemed to enhance his comprehension and abilities regarding soul, he was almost always here when he was practicing his seals. The environment there made his growth relatively easier.

From yesterday, he started doing three-star instead of two-star and it hadn't been successful at all. So, he was now practicing it when his mind had relaxed and rejuvenated by sleeping.

He was just practicing the only seal he knew which was the Seal of Inanimate.

The seal was now currently radiating a mysterious aura as if to seal something.

Fortunately, he had succeeded on the first try today. Truly befitting for the dark realm. Otherwise, he would've at least needed another three days or so.

This was now in front of Kirt had the ability to lock the ability of something inanimate. It meant that if the seal was done on a pen, it won't be able to draw anymore and if it was on a phone, it won't function anymore.

Basically, it disabled the function of a thing.

Well, it was only a basic seal that formed from three dots. It was still the most basic of basic among seals and won't be able to seal complicated things such as phones yet. Not to mention he has to have the intention first to seal that particular ability of it.

For now, the one he constructed could only act as a lid.

Yes, a lid.

It meant that if it was done on the rim of a cup and sealed it, material things won't be able to pass through it anymore, making it a lid.

Even though it was insignificant, it was still a seal. A seal that had a function.

[Weekly Task: Successfully construct a seal has been completed]

[You have received 5 exp]

The notification came indicating his completion of the following task. Since he was doing the three-star seal yesterday, he hadn't yet done the weekly task this week.

'It seems that the reward of the task won't differentiate based on the performance...' Kirt thought silently as he put his hands in a lock and looked at the blue seal in front of him.

The blue seal was just plain blue. Not shiny nor with a dark hue. It was just blue. Bright maybe?

Moving his imaginary hand as he controlled the seal, Kirt as an orb of light pointed his finger towards the North. Not so surprisingly, the seal moved in the air and arrived at the location he wanted it to. Perhaps, he could even control without any physical movements.

These movements just made things slightly better to control and for the person to imagine it anyways.

I tried it on the spot, and it was just as I had thought. I was able to control it with my mind. Moreover, its ability won't be triggered unless I wanted to, meaning that without me giving the confirmation, its function as a seal won't work anymore. Material things will still be able to pass through it.

That truly was useful. Not to mention it would be hard to bypass it unless one used soul or mystical spells.

With the elements being the main pathway in this world, he would definitely have an advantage over others.

So with that done, he practiced his seals until he was mentally taxed and directly went to sleep.

It seems like his messed-up sleep schedule was finally getting back into shape with the intervention of this system.
