Chereads / Infinity Sealing System / Chapter 11 - Gift

Chapter 11 - Gift

The law of equal exchange governs everything.

That was the sole rule that he believed. Every rule can be broken except that. It was because without a reason, there isn't a result.

The theory of relation says that everything is connected and related with each other in one way or other. Even if one's a king and the other's a beggar, their fates are intertwined together.

[Weekly Tasks]

Successfully construct a seal (5 exp)

Kill a monster (10 exp)

______________________________

I opened my weekly task and looked at it.

The first task was successfully constructing a seal.

The previous one didn't count supposedly. So since it was easy, I constructed a seal once again.

This time, however, it was with my eyes open because it had already adapted to the light.

[Weekly Task: Successfully construct a seal has been completed]

[You have received 5 exp]

[You have leveled up]

"Indeed as I thought. Exp is necessary for a level up."

After staying in silence for a few moments, I said, "Then what's the reward this time?"

It seems the system had no intention of answering me.

"..." I stayed silent once again and then plunged into a thought before reaching a conclusion.

I should probably stop depending on it for anything as it won't help. It would be better fo me to think of it as a program rather than a sentient being.

So having reached that, I took the initiative and entered my status.

Strength: F

Agility: F

Soul Power: 1.3

My strength and agility was indeed a bit embarrassing but it was reasonable. After all, I was only a child and hadn't trained much. If not for me being an esper, it might just have been F- for them.

...

'Killing a monster with my power level and in this city is impossible' with this thought in my head, I didn't attempt to do the second weekly task at all.

So without doing anything noteworthy, time passed as always and it wasn't long before the day passed and a new day arrived; neither did it for afternoon to arrive.

During the time, I did my various school works and read a novel about a worm in a monster world.

Other than just games, I also enjoyed other things such as consistent work and watching random things or reading novels online. I enjoyed them because of the tranquility I felt. The tranquility that only came when one was in the boundary of working hard and also not working.

It was like Zen meditation. Usually, the practitioners of meditation would close their eyes but in Zen, they would only close it halfway. This way, they wouldn't fall into the drowsy state, making their state of mind at its peak and in tranquility.

It should be called treading the border between two things.

And just as I was watching youtube after having finished my school work, my parents came.

There wasn't much celebration or anything big. We just greeted each other and I helped them bring in their luggage.

The afternoon went with them unpacking their things and only on dinner did they get the chance to talk.

"How was your school? Anything out of the ordinary?" my father, a 35 year old man with black hair and a pair of glasses asked. He wasn't considered fat at all, with a skinny body and facial features that were above average.

Except that, there was also a trace of his element on his left ear that wasn't much conspicuous.

"It went as normal as always. You can expect good grades at the end of the season" I replied back, while eating the food they brought.

It was sea food and was quite tasty.

"You're a good boy, honey. We brought you some snacks on the way, you can get it from the bag over there. Also here are 100 Ekters, you should consider buying a few things for yourself" my mother continued the discussion with a loving gaze and gave me the things they brought.

She had a mole on her right ear and her element sign on her neck.

Both of them were mages, with my father being a Pyro mage and my mother an Anemo mage.

"Ok, I will retrieve them later. Thanks" I lifted my head and responded with a smile hung on my face.

"Haha. It's alright, alright" after laughing for a bit, they finished the food and went back to their room while I washed the dishes.

Since both of them worked, I was usually the one to left do trivial things such as cleaning the dishes or cleaning the house. Of course, they also helped sometimes but not much.

Not that I did all of it anyways. It was mostly a cleaning robot that helped me with them.

After seeing that the kitchen has become clean, I went back to my room and closed my door.

Then, I continued watching youtube, about the Blood God collecting his blood as he terrorized the other players.

Although it wasn't anything productive, it was interesting to watch.

It just happened that his livestream was starting too. So with that, it was set for me to stay awake at least for another few hours.

During the live stream, I sent out a few Ekters, which were 10 in total and except that, nothing really happened.

After the live stream ended, it was 9 PM. It wasn't a suitable time for playing God's Lore yet so with the remaining time, I watched a lecture about formations and how to construct them better.

After I had finished watching it, a thought emerged in my head.

'Would I be able to construct formations better now that I have learnt how to construct seals? After all, its principle is much simple than the principle of seals and basically, its just utilizing nodes within the formation and external mana to do things.'

It wasn't long before I denied it.

'Even if it's much simpler than seals, I still shouldn't underestimate it. After all, it might just be the Standard Mystic Alphabet of this world...'

Thinking this, I was undoubtedly looking more and more forward to the Preliminary Extraordinary Education.
