After exiting the gate, Chu Mal-Chin summoned the little energy he had to go back home.
The moment he materialized into the familiar apartment, he collapsed instantly on the soft bed.
——
A bright light shone in his eyes, groaning, Chu Mal Chin opened his tired eyes as his sore body slowly rose from the bed.
It had been a few weeks since the clearing of the SS ranked gate.
It's appearance shocked the world and White King guild and Sovereign were heavily questioned by the authorities and media.
An even bigger uproar happened when the two guilds announced a bounty on a criminal named Orchid.
Orchid's name used to be known, but as he hid his tracks and faded from the spot light, his appearance in the public faded.
Now faced with the sudden emergence of a mysterious forgotten criminal, the media ate it up like hyenas.
Day after day, new articles of Orchid's past deeds and appearance appeared. However as hard as the public and authorities looked, no one was able to find traces of him.
The only semi plausible statements came from thugs who were apparently robbed by Orchid. But the old Orchid had covered his tracks by robbing across the country, so no one really thought of it.
Seeing new articles on the SS ranked gate and himself, Chu Mal-Chin sighed as he dressed in a turtleneck sweater. A thick puffy coat covered him like a marshmallow.
Wrapping a scarf around his neck, he headed towards a fast food restaurant and began to eat just for the sake of it.
The after effects of the system's punishment still hurt, and causing a continuous bad mood.
Getting punished by the system felt like having your body struck by lightning, thrown off a sky scraper, getting run over by a truck, and getting choked with a thin string all at once.
He shuddered, before eating his happy meal, strangers gave him a weird look.
Chu Mal-Chin thought of his next course of plans. Although he was currently relaying off of Malso's strength, he was still not a match if they fought each other with the same body.
Malso wasn't a minor villain, he was a major neutral character. The most he did was cause some trouble for the main characters before disappearing. However, Malso got scouted into a scary organization near the middle of the novel.
It was dubbed [Trinity], and it was led by a powerful mysterious woman and her subordinates.
They were known more as thieves who would steal from big guilds and sell it for profit. Although Chu Mal-Chin wasn't sure why Malso joined Trinity, it probably was because of resources.
That's why they became a big thorn to the main characters as they occasionally sent out members to gates to steal resources.
In order for him to get scouted like in the novel though….he needs a better grasp on his powers.
All of a sudden, a little girl peeked her head over Chu Mal-Chin's table, startling him.
"Can I have a chicken nugget please?" Her bright green eyes shined as cute black pigtails rung from her small head. She seemed to be around 10.
"….Sure." Chu Mal-Chin forfeited the rest of his chicken nuggets before getting up to leave.

Returning home, Chu Mal-Chin rummaged around Malso's memories for experience.
In a while, his efforts did not become unrewarded.
Chu Mal-Chin knew that Malso had special mana properties, but it truly was incredible seeing it from Malso's memories.
During a fight with some other gifted, Malso expertly danced around, and avoided the man's fast attacks.
Taking a card from his sleeve, he used his wrist to secretly charge it with fire. After inserting some mana, he twirled as he then flicked the card towards the man.
His movement was elegant and swift, Chu Mal-Chin had just been blindly throwing cards around, completely disgracing Malso's fight style.
Imitating Malso's swift foot work, it went easier then expected as his body had the muscle memory.
Chu Mal-Chin spent hours dancing around Malso's apartment, becoming more used to the twirls, the side steps, and swift pace.
Stepping left to avoid the coffee table, a swift twirl around the kitchen chair that hadn't been pushed in yet, curving his slim body to narrowly avoid the counter edge….
His eyes shone with a certain rare happiness that was hard to come by, at last, his dance eventually stopped.
Breathless, Chu Mal-Chin opened his sparking amber eyes. His silky black hair was pushed back, just barely reaching past his shoulders.
"…I think that's enough dancing for today." Chu Mal-Chin laughed to himself softly, not remembering the last time he's had fun like this.
The next thing Chu Mal-Chin tried was a special move that Malso had made.
To do it, Malso opened two packs of cards and shuffled them quickly, imbuing each with a different element. After filling each with an element, he would exhaust his mana reserves and make every card in his hand wildly fly towards enemies and either drown, choke, decompose, or burn them.
This was Malso's deadliest move, ultimate shuffle. Having this move allowed him to take down the four major gangs plaguing the city.
After looking through Malso's memories again, Chu Mal-Chin paused.
"Maybe I won't practice this move in my apartment ah~" Chu Mal-Chin washed up and went to sleep.
