Even though he was faced with such a horrific scene, Chu Mal-Chin felt his face flushing with excitement.
He had never felt this way after seeing violence, was this the influence of Malso's body?
Beating fiercely, his heart pumped in excitement, the corners of Malso's mouth ever so slightly curled up.
Suddenly, Chu Mal-Chin gagged, as he forcibly stopped himself. In his hand, were 3 shimmering cards, each of a different color.
"W-What…the hell…?" When did he take those cards out? It was as if…someone else was controlling Malso's body.
[I bet you're curious] A system prompt suddenly appeared, causing Chu Mal-Chin to jump.
After he was punished by the system, he hadn't heard from it for a while now. Why had it popped up at this time so suddenly?
However no matter of much Chu Mal-Chin called, the system didn't reply.
He frowned, it was certainly strange. Whether it was Malso's original will, or someone else entirely, he couldn't do anything about it.
Thus he turned his mind to other things. Pinching his nose, he made his way towards the corpses of the horse monsters.
Walking by one, he examined its disgusting features. These types of monsters liked to act friendly then mercilessly trample you with its strong hooves.
After harvesting a few horns from some horses, Chu Mal-Chin noticed a dark glow surrounding a flower. Curious, he walked forward and tried to pluck the flower.
However he suddenly found himself in a dark, damp room. Before he could even process what happened, a hand wrapped around his throat and started strangling him.
"Urghk-!" Coughing, Malso immediately brought his hands on the hand and tried to push it away to no avail. The grip around his neck tightened, and Chu Mal-Chin looked up to see blood red eyes staring at him. Bloodlust was evident in those familiar bright red eyes.
Shivering, Chu Mal-Chin was confused. How did he end up here?! And why was Andras here?!!
....
Clearing through a hoard of ghouls, Andras rubbed his sword off with a cloth. Behind him, researchers touched the corpses and recorded things in their notebooks.
"You, what are the differences?" He bluntly asked one researcher.
"U-Uhm-! Compared to previous data, this dungeon has fewer and weaker monsters then expected. We're currently just recording the current data and will process it later..." The researcher nervously replied.
"I see." Andras gave a business smile and turned away. The leader of the Sovereign exploration team, Carter was waiting to talk to him.
"What is it?" Raising an eyebrow, Andras was curious what Carter would say, as he didn't normally report trivial things.
"President, something about this place isn't right." Carter's yellow eyes flickered in unease, his short, messy red hair fell onto his eyes.
"I was feeling the same, I noticed the moment you acted strangely." Andres kept looking closely at each room they passed through, but nothing was out of the ordinary. Usually, Carter went wild and led the exploration ruthlessly, but today he was more cautious with his commands.
Suddenly, the room seemed to have gone quiet. Andras and Carter looked and realized that many of the researchers and exploration members were gone.
The researcher that had talked to Andras earlier seemed to also just noticed as he tried to hurry towards them, but a black goo wrapped around his ankle and yanked him down.
"Arugh-! H-Help-!" He screamed desperately. Swiftly, Carter dashed towards the goo and summoned a spear, but the man had already been swallowed by the darkness.
"Shxt!" Carter cursed as the man disappeared, and a black hand emerged from the dark wall, trying to latch onto him.
Quickly summoning his sword, Andras followed behind Carter and cut off the dark hand from the wall.
It fell to the ground with a thud as it shivered and writhed in pain. Frowning, Carter already stabbed the thing with his spear.
As it finally died, Andras wearily looked around the dark dungeon. Seeing how he didn't notice their members disappearing so suddenly, they probably were brought to another place close by.
*sceeekch....*
A disturbing noise began to sound from the ceiling. Just as Carter turned to look at the ceiling, another hand came from directly under him and pulled him down.
"!" Carter planned to just stab the hand as well, but 10 other hands sprouted and tried to latch on.
Andras quickly chopped of 7 hands, but the remaining 3 managed to latch on strongly.
"Bastards-!" Carter kicked away a hand, and stabbed through the one, but the remaining one still managed to drag him into the goo as well.
Andras clicked his tongue as multiple hands started emerging from the walls as well. Just as he was about to activate her ability, a light shone into the dark dungeon.
As if burned, the hands hurriedly retreated away, leaving Andras alone.
His eyes turned murderous after seeing the person who arrived, Orchid.
Countless questions passed through Andras's mind, but he ignored them for now. Rushing towards Orchid, he reached for his throat.
…
It wasn't until Orchid's face started getting weaker, then did Andras finally released his chokehold.
"U-Urgh!" Orchid coughed violently, as he breathed heavily on the ground. Andras indifferently stared at him, examining him like a lab animal.
"For what do I own the pleasure of having all of President Andras's anger on me~?" Chu Mal-Chin angrily spat, still imitating Malso's annoying sly tone, as he glared at Andras.
"How are you here? This gate entrance is heavily guarded." Andras ignored Orchid's question.
"That's what I also want to know bastard~" Orchid clicked his tongue and stood up. Andras frowned and suddenly pinned Orchid against the wall.
"Stop lying to me, as if you coincidentally dropped in here the moment my people were taken." Andras's rage showed in his disbelieving expression.
"Aya~? So it seems there are still some people left?" Before Orchid could reply, a sickeningly sweet female voice interrupted them.
When they both turned towards the direction of the voice, they say a seductive woman. She was dressed in a long dark blue dress as a comically large witch hat was on her head. Her void like eyes, and pale skin look eerily like a ghost.
"It seems we'll move onto the second stage then." Her blood red lips curved into a creepy smile.
