The moment those words uttered from her mouth, Andras had already leaped towards her and tried to slice through her pale neck.
But it was too late, the floor beneath them disappeared, as Andras and Malso got sucked in by the powerful force.
"!" Gritting his teeth at the sudden event, Chu Mal-Chin instantly summoned a card and filled it with huge amount of wind. The sensation of falling became stronger and stronger due to gravity.
Just as he was about to throw the card down however, a pair of thick arms wrapped around his neck.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Orchid shouted as he struggled to get Andras off him.
"Surviving." He bluntly answered as he snatched the card away from Orchid.
"!" The sight of a white marble floor was already coming into view. Falling for such a long time had greatly increased their descent.
"Fxcking bastard! Don't think I'll let this go so easily!" It was already too late to summon another card, so using his strength, he lunged sideways towards Andras and grappled onto his back.
Feeling the surge of weight on his back, Andras frowned but couldn't do anything about it as the floor was already meters away.
Throwing down the card, the both of them were enveloped in a strong gust of wind. It instantly broke their fall softly, as they both gently hit the floor.
Sighing in relief, Chu Mal-Chin almost started berating Andras right then and there. Luckily, he was able to calm himself down slightly.
Seeing Orchid, Andras scoffed and tried to look around in the pitch darkness that surrounded them.
The faint glow of Malso's mana on the card was their only light source, and it soon started to fade away after being used.
Hurriedly summoning another card, Chu Mal-Chin filled it up with fire.
Soon, a brighter glow began to surround the two of them. Just as Chu Mal-Chin was about to sigh in relief, thousands of pairs of eyes surrounded them.
They only consisted of a single red dot, and they shone with an undead glow.
Chills formed on Chu Mal-Chin's back as he turned the other way, but a similar sight greeted him.
"…Why don't we put aside past grievances for now?" Andras's annoying voice snapped him out of his trance. These undead were at least A- or higher, even an SS rank might have some trouble alone. Especially since Andras was still counted as a normal SS rank currently, so he was still nowhere near his near omniscient stage at the end of the novel.
"Fuck you." Orchid muttered, but entrusted his back towards Andras.
Seeing this, Andras scoffed. "Try to keep up."
Hearing this made Chu Mal-Chin spit out blood. Now he could understand why Samuel spent five volumes chasing Andras!
Just as he was about to attack, a system prompt rang in his ear.
[Detecting major plot changes….Anger meter has been activated. 0/50 Punishment for failing to complete anger meter by the time the sudden event is done will result in spontaneous combustion.] The system busily rang. [Reward will not be handed out due to the severity of the plot change. Any more severe plot changes will cause the system to temporarily shut down for maintenance.]
Before the screen shut down, another prompt came up.
[Cheering! Don't die Chu Mal-Chin :((((! I'll be sad ToT]
Chu Mal-Chin didn't know whether to thank the system for worrying about him, or to curse it out for assigning the anger meter back.
Either way, he had to take this task seriously or else it really was over for him. Thinking of this, the cards in his hand began to glow brightly with wild colors.
Throwing them towards the direction of the undead, sounds of flesh and bones were heard breaking.
Enduring his disgust, Chu Mal-Chin filled more cards with mana. Instead of all throwing it at the hoard though, he flung it towards Andras
"…" Andras quickly dodged out of the way, as he glared at Orchid.
"Ah, sorry sorry~ My hand slipped!" Orchid scoffed mockingly.
[Anger Meter: 15/50]
Andras said nothing, but he increased the strength in his explosions. The fierce pressure of the explosions near him caused his hat to blow off.
A vein popped out of Malso's head. This bastard asked for it….
Not willing to reveal his trump card, he instead did a smaller version of it.
However, the cards were all sent towards Andras this time, clearing his side of undead.
"You have to be more careful yeah~?" Malso shrugged.
"I would say the same towards you." Andras smirked as an explosion was sent right by his ear.
Pretty soon, the two were directly aiming their attacks at each other. Explosions sounded near Chu Mal-Chin's ear, and multiple plants and fires skimmed near Andras.
The woman from before angrily looked at the scene from a corner. They dare disrespect her like this! Waving her hand, the undead soldiers that were left began twitching.
The skeletons collapsed, only for their bones to gather and combine with other skeleton bones. More ghouls appeared from the ground, and a tall black figure dressed in pitch black armor rode out on a headless horse.
Seeing the changes around them, Malso and Andras stopped fighting and looked at each other.
"Ugh." Disgusted at what he saw, Chu Mal-Chin pulled a card from his sleeve.
"Are you disgusted that I'm better looking?" Andras smirked and imbued his sword with a frightening amount of mana.
"Hah, you wish~" Chu Mal-Chin shook his head, as he immediately threw a card towards the dark knight. Andras followed up by leaping close, and quickly slashing through the horse and its rider.
Neighing, the headless horse raised its hooves and tried to trample on Andras, but he easily blocked it. The knight used this opportunity to stab his lance through Andras's heart, but Orchid dashed close and raised his hand.
The lance deflected, and the dark knight seemed to be disgruntled as the horse suddenly burst into black flames. Sensing danger, the both of them leaped back as the black fire narrowly missed them.
Andras was going to attack again, but the giant skeleton soldier had finally gotten close enough to attack.
His hands firmly gripped onto his sword, as his eyes flashed into a deeper red.
"[Mana Craze]" A grin appeared on Andras's face, as his power spiked by several bounds.
