The next morning, she woke up to a twin bell alarm clock and sighed as she packed her things, her bow staff included, though it was in its small form at the moment, and got into her uniform after she was the rest of the way ready to head out. "Hey mom, I'm heading to school! I'll be back by midnight!"
"You'd better be! You cut it close last night!" Her mother sighed and pat the girls head before letting her go. "Quit scaring me ok?"
"No promises momma. I have to go before I'm late. I'll call you after school!" With that, Nakama Masa left home and started running to UA, determined not to be late on her first day, especially with who her teacher would be. 'Kronos.... I can't wait to see your reaction. This is going to be good.' She giggled and got through the gates to be met by a little rat looking guy in a suit.
"I want to welcome you to UA Nakama Masa. My name is Nezu, I'm the principal. You got the highest score we have seen since Inasa Yoarashi. I hope you don't waste this opportunity especially since Eraserhead recommended you. Good luck on your journey young hero." He bowed and walked off, leaving a very confused and flustered Masa behind. 'What was that all about?' She looked around to see a bunch of students staring at her in awe which only made her more flustered as she began to walk inside to try and find her class since everyone was slowly beginning to walk into the school.
"Well, time to find 1-A...." She muttered to herself, holding a cup of coffee for Kronos and knew he didn't like bitter things so she made her own recipe that didn't change the effects of the coffee but just made it a lot sweeter. By the time she found the class, most of the kids were there but no Aizawa yet. She walked in and noticed that everyone just stared at her like she was the most famous person in the world well, all but one. A kid that looked like a Pomeranian was just glaring at everything he saw, especially a green haired kid who was terrified of the Pomeranian. She just sighed and went to put her things down, the coffee on his desk first with a note on it, calming those in the room down emotionally and mentally. After a few minutes, Aizawa came in but didn't notice Masa yet but even he felt her calming aura and saw the coffee but didn't touch it.
He sighed and looked over his first year class. "Hello, I am pro hero Eraserhead, or Aizawa for my civilian name. I am your homeroom teacher. Now, get to the locker rooms and put these on. We are going to the fields." He left for the fields and the class grabbed a uniform of their size before heading to the locker rooms and began to change. The girls all became instant friends and said they needed to stick together which they all agreed on. Masa introduced herself as did the rest of the girls and they all left to do the tests.
Aizawa waited for them all before beginning to explain what they were doing only to be cut off by Nakama. "We are doing a quirk Apprehension test. Ei-"
"Eight physical test to gage our potential with and without our quirks? Isn't that right?" She smirked and made her way to the front of the class. 'And then the deceptive lie will come in a minute...' He looked over and looked her up and down, trying to figure out who she was. "Ouch Kronos. You don't recognize me? I've only known you since I was twelve." His eyes widened as he recognized the name she called him and seemed to freeze up, not knowing what to say while the rest of the class just stood there, looking completely baffled.
"Sorry Rhea. You are a little different than when you are trying to help someone as you put it." He opened his arms and gave a whisper of a smile. She smiled brightly and went over to hug him as he returned it and let go after a minute. "Thank you for everything. You have helped more than you realize."
"I know...." Suddenly, a migraine began to form and only got worse as a certain student began stomping his way over. "Oh god damn it.... Who has so much emotion bottled up....?" She let go and turned around only to lose her balance and regain it in a matter of moments and see the Pomeranian coming over. "No.... Stay away you damn Pomeranian....." She was grumbling and obviously in serious pain. Aizawa noticed and looked for said Pomeranian.
"Who knows of a Pomeranian?" He asked, making Bakugou angrier and the others began laughing their asses off. Aizawa sighed and pulled Masa away from Bakugou and kept her close, feeling her relax as they put distance between them and Bakugou. "Are you ok Rhea? What happened?"
"I-I'm fine now thank you. When someone or a group of people have high amounts of negative emotion, I get a migraine that gets worse as the distance between us gets smaller. Bakugou is just a big ball of anger that needs to be dealt with before he can get close to me. Sorry for worrying you and thank you for helping me Kronos but, you should probably start calling me by my name if you don't want to be seen as picking favorites." She sighed and put her head on his chest while he just continued to keep her close.
"It's not a problem. Are you ready to go back yet or I can have him get his test started while you stay here?" She just shook her head and began to head back with Aizawa behind her. 'Well, Bakugou is going to have to tone things down quite a bit.' They got back to the class who were all just standing there confused and shocked and all that. "Alright, Bakugou, you got the highest score in the entrance exam, what was your longest ball throw in middle school?"
"64 meters." He said in a tone that was neither proud nor disappointed.
"This is the same thing but this time use your quirk." Aizawa said and most of the class thought it was going to be fun. Aizawa shut them up quickly and added his rational falsehood. "Oh? Then how about this? Whoever comes in last place gets expelled." After he said this there were many complaints but he said the same thing about it as he did in the anime and just tossed Bakugou the ball. The Pomeranian caught it and took his stance and got the same score as in the anime. Aizawa showed them his score and most were shocked and others were happy to oblige to fight for their spot in class, including Masa. Masa took first place in all the physical tests, being both strong and flexible, using her quirk only to slightly boost her performance. All in all, she came in first with hardly anything separating her from Momo. Aizawa was fairly surprised by this since she didn't look to be strong as was the rest of the class. She wasn't and went to lean against the building while the others took their test.
When they were all done, Aizawa had them go back to change before dismissing them and leaving. Masa went and changed before going to wander the school grounds while everyone went to lunch. She was passing by the development studio when she sensed something was about to go wrong so she out up a shield at the doorway, minimalizing the potential damage to things outside the room, right before something exploded on the inside causing Masa to jump. 'What the hell happened here!?' She ran over to the door way and took her shield down, letting smoke billow out of the room. "Hello!? Is everyone alright!?!"
"Yup! Everything is just fine! We just had a malfunction in here!" A male voice called back before it began to scold someone named Mei. Masa sighed and walked inside, waving the smoke away from her face as she did.
"Are you sure? This seems pretty bad...." Even with what she said, all she would really sense was shame and irritation from Mei and the male voice respectively.
"Yeah, just one of Mei's inventions exploding again." He said calmly, as though it were fairly normal for this to happen while Masa was confused and it showed but she shook it off and sighed.
"Well, not even gonna ask but do you guys do upgrades? It's not technically part of my hero suit but I do want to upgrade it from wood and put tasers on the ends. Do you guys think you can do it?" She took her bow staff out and made it extend into its big form by shaking it one way then the other. and showing them each and every function it had. "Other than the upgrade to metal from wood, I don't really want it to change." The male in the room who she just recognized as the excavation hero Power Loader who looked over and nodded.
"Yeah, we can do that easy. Give us about three days time and it'll be back in your hands. You should head to class. It's going to start soon." He reached for it and was given the staff without any problems.
"Right. I'll see you guys later!" With that, she ran to her next class and sat down a few minutes before class was supposed to start. The lesson dragged on and before long, it was time to go home. Days dragged on like this, hero lessons in the morning and common core stuff the rest of the day but one day....
