The next morning, Trinity felt different. It felt like all the cells in her whole body were vibrating with intensity.
It felt almost like the cold, tingling sensation you get when your foot or other body part falls asleep, and has just been woken up. But this was way more intense. Her body felt as if it had been numb before, and was just beginning to wake for the first time.
It was definitely a strange sensation to suddenly feel, and she wasn't sure if this was a good thing, or a bad thing.
Amara had requested that Trinity be excused from school for a few days while she was able to help her better. Most of her teachers who had experienced what happened, had no issues with this. Nor would they have to worry about keeping an eye on one specific student.
However, the worst of it all though, was that her father had cancelled the sleepover this upcoming weekend, which had already been planned. This meant that she was cut off from being able to find Zyxel, and restricted only to the church grounds.
'It's not fair!' Trinity complained, as a wave of anger leaked out through her broadcast.
Although, at the present moment, she didn't care about who might be nearby who would be able to sense her emotions that she was broadcasting. Let them feel her anger. Let them feel her annoyance.
Maybe then, someone would get fed up with it enough that they would allow her the freedom to leave. Even if it was only just so they didn't have to keep sensing all of her emotions all the time.
This thought made Trinity smile with hope. Maybe that could work. Instead of focusing on suppressing her emotions as she had been attempting, she could try focusing on increasing the intensity of her broadcast, until they allowed her to leave.
After all, once her broadcasting seemed to hit a plateau, she felt like it was becoming more and more difficult to control, than when it had been weaker. When it had first awakened at school, she could at least suppress it pretty easily if she just concentrated. But as it grew stronger, that ease of control became harder.
Right now, Trinity stood outside in the garden, with Amara who was always staying close by now. Amara could tell that Trinity was feeling troubled this morning. Her broadcasts were becoming more and more sporadic. She had been hoping that the beauty and serenity of the garden would help to ease and relax Trinity enough so they could run a few more tests.
Suddenly, Stephen, one of the church members, came out to inform Amara that she had two visitors who came to see her.
Amara gave a warm smile followed by a brief nod. "Please, allow them through. I will meet them out here."
Stephen hesitated for a moment. "Out... out here ma'am?" His eyes glanced nervously between Amara and Trinity. He didn't consider it a very wise idea, and wondered if she wouldn't prefer to come inside instead.
Trinity shuffled on her feet nervously. She knew exactly how uncomfortable she must be making everyone. Now she felt guilty about having just thought about intentionally increasing the intensity of her broadcast, just for her own selfish reasons.
After all, if she had done that, it would have just proved to everyone that she had no control. Proving a lack of ability to control oneself, wasn't the best way to go about gaining freedom. She wanted to learn how to gain a better handle on this strange reaction that manifested inside her. Only then would she feel that she deserved her freedom to leave outside of her confined area.
Amara had spelled Father Kiran's home, to contain Trinity's broadcast waves. It was only when she left the house, that others nearby could sense her emotions, if she couldn't successfully suppress it.
Although, Trinity didn't want to live in a bubble forever.
"Don't worry, Stephen. Please show them here. This might be beneficial for Trinity to experience something new, seeing as nothing has been helping yet. I think it will also give her mind a much needed break, and hopefully spark something that we may not have considered testing yet." Amara announced.
Trinity looked down at the ground in concern, afraid that she would only be causing more distress by being here.
Amara turned to face Trinity. "I know that while our more recent tests haven't concluded many new results. I do also know that you can control your broadcasts for very short durations of time, if you focus. Would you mind suppressing it for just a while? I would prefer that you stay, because I would like you to see if there is anything you are able to sense."
Trinity wasn't sure what Amara was talking about. "Do you know who is here already?"
Amara closed her eyes and let out a very soft giggle in complete innocence. "Of course I do!"
Trinity gave a deep sigh. She focused on reigning in her emotions so they would not broadcast outward. She could only do this for brief periods of time. But as soon as her mind began to wander, she found it difficult to keep up. She would begin to struggle to keep it contained, before eventually losing control.
When Stephen returned, he had two women who were following close behind. His face appeared grateful that he wasn't being blasted with emotional waves.
As they arrived, he gave a weak smile at Trinity and mouthed the words 'thank you', before bowing towards Amara and heading back to the church.
Trinity studied the two women in front of her. The first woman appeared to be in her twenties. She had a very light complexion, with brown hair and blue eyes. In her arms, she carried a small baby in her arms who looked only a few months old. The second woman was very young, not much older than Trinity herself. Her skin was a very beautiful dark chocolate shade of brown, with curly black hair and soft green eyes.
"Kathryn! It is so nice to see you again." Amara exclaimed with a warm smile as she greeted the mother who was holding the baby in her arms. "Your daughter is looking so beautiful and has grown so much since you last visited!"
"Thank you, Miss Amara!" Kathryn replied, as she looked from Amara and smiled down at the small child in her arms. "I can't thank you enough for saving her life that day! The doctors have confirmed that her illness has completely disappeared entirely. She is completely healthy now, and it is all thanks to you!" She looked back up at Amara with eyes full of praise and love.
Trinity let out a small gasp as she realized this must be the mother of the newborn baby that everyone had been praising that Amara had healed.
She craned her neck around to get a better view of the baby, and that's when she noticed something, that she hadn't seen before. Located in the baby's heart was a very small white glow that was radiating out from within. The white glow tugged at her mind, drawing her in. What was this that she was feeling?
Surprise radiated from her, and both women turned to stare at her in shock.
"Trinity!" Amara whispered.
Trinity quickly realized she had lost control again and immediately reigned her emotions back in again. "My apologies. I was just surprised. I didn't realize this was the baby that I had heard so much about!" She didn't want to give anything away to Amara about what she was seeing. It could give her an upper hand, later on. "She is a cutie!" she added with a smile.
"Thank you so much!" Kathryn grinned back, before turning back to Amara. "Miss Amara, this is one of my best friends that I have grown up with. Her name is Imena, and she was hoping that you could request that you heal her, the same way that you have healed my daughter."
Trinity was trying to figure out what it was that Imena might need healing with. By appearance, she appeared perfectly healthy. She wondered if it might be an internal illness, or maybe a mental disorder; which both would be more harder to determine just by visual appearances only.
However, because Amara was always constantly listening to the thoughts of those around her, she already knew exactly why the both of them had come here for, as soon as they had arrived at the church. Amara gently touched Imena on the back of her hand. "Of course I can heal you, my dear!"
Watching this, Trinity started frowning. She could see waves of brown energy flowing from Imena, into Amara, through her skin contact. 'Am I seeing her feeding right now?' she thought to herself, with a shock. 'How am I suddenly seeing this?'
However, the brown swirling energy remained in Amara's palm, and as she reached up towards Imena's face, she began to see something else mixing within. The brown swirl of energy was now combining with a new white energy swirl, which radiated the same energy and pull, that the glow of energy from the baby, had given off.
Confused, Trinity continued to watch with interest as Amara placed her palm over Imena's eyes. The brown and white swirl of energy flowed through Amara's palm and entered into Imena, where she touched her skin around her eyes.
As Amara removed the palm of her hand, Trinity could see a similar white spec of a glow, moving down towards Imena's heart, just like the baby. She pursed her lips together, as she attempted to understand what exactly this white speck was that she was seeing, and why it might be there.
Was this something that was intentionally done by Amara? Or was it a bi-product of being healed by a divine being? Or maybe this was just angel specific? She'd have to remember to see if she could see any trace of energy in her own heart when she was alone.
When Amara removed her hand, Imena blinked repeatedly as her eyesight adjusted. She looked around slowly as she took in all the sights and colors that surrounded her.
Imena squealed with excitement as she grinned at her friend, Kathryn. Eyes wide, she embraced Kathryn in a big hug. "I can see! For the first time ever, I can finally see!"
Immediately after, Imena ran up to Amara and gave her a massive hug. "Thank you!" she spoke through glistening tears of happiness. "Thank you so much!"
After pulling away from Amara, Imena ran up to Trinity and embraced her with an equally excited hug, as she had with Amara. Surprised, Trinity didn't want to argue the fact that she hadn't done anything. However, it was clear that this girl was ecstatic over the fact that her sight had been healed. Trinity didn't want to be the one to ruin such a joyous occasion for her. So she just returned her embrace, to share in her celebration.
"I'm so happy for you!" Trinity said.
However, the reply she got back was not what she expected. Imena's voice became low and quiet. "We need to talk!" Imena whispered silently into Trinity's ear.
