Elizabeth raised her head when Aaron stopped the car. They both alighted from the car at the same time. Elizabeth looked at him and the house. It was not a house but a mansion. This was the first time she was visiting Winchester's mansion, though she had seen the house before. She saw a fountain as she entered along with him into the Mansion through the entrance doors. The next thing she observed was that her feet were on a rich Persian carpet. The hand-carved furniture was well polished such that it would shine during day or night. Various kind of painting portraits and pictures of their family members was hung on the wall in golden frames. Elizabeth looked around and then at Aaron whose emotions were hard to understand by anyone. She followed him as he ascended the stairs. Her gaze shifted from him to the wall paintings from time to time. She thought he wasn't even interested to have a glance at her, after all she was his wife now but the man seemed to be least bothered with what she was doing.
But the truth was, the man was aware of her glances at him and all her movements since the time they got into the car.
Elizabeth who stood a little away from Aaron saw him stop in front of a room and bow before entering. There was a smile on his face which disappeared like a flash of lightning in the sky. She followed him into the room and saw an old man lying on the bed. The old man was none other than Aaron's grandfather Micheal Winchester.
"Look, Martin, my grandson finally is married," the old man laughed talking to his butler who stood beside his bed.
"Are you happy now?" Aaron asked the old man.
"Such a beautiful bride. Come here, let me have a closer look at my granddaughter in law," Micheal chose not to answer Aaron and have a better look at Elizabeth.
Elizabeth looked at Aaron who hinted her through his eyes to go and sit on the chair next to the bed.
"You look very beautiful Elizabeth," Micheal said after she sat on the chair.
"Thank you, Mr. Winchester," she thanked him with a warm smile.
"I would like it if you address me as grandpa," he said, his voice was weak and could hardly be heard unless one were attentive.
"As you say, grandpa," she said with a warm smile again which made the old man smile.
"And I would be very happy if you give me a great-grandchild in my hands soon, dear," he let out his words in a whisper and chuckled when Elizabeth coughed to his request.
"Grandpa!! You're such a greedy man. I just got married because you forced me. Can you please not force me again for your selfishness," Aaron remarked.
"Is it wrong to ask for a great-grandchild to a married couple?" Micheal questioned the newly married couple who looked at each other blankly.
"That's our wish. Since you met my bride I'll take a leave now," Aaron said and took hold of Elizabeth's wrist to take her with him. The girl didn't miss to notice the way he said she was his bride, as she belonged to him.
The couple left and Micheal continued to stare at the door from whew they left not a second ago, his smile faded, "I can only hope for the girl to change him for the better," he thought and closed his eyes to take a nap.
"Where are we heading?" asked Elizabeth, when they were descending the stairs.
"Home," Aaron replied, he didn't bother to look at her when she was struggling to lift her gown and follow him.
When they got into the car, Elizabeth somehow helped herself with the dress and sat while Aaron was already seated in the driver's seat. She did not understand why was he driving when he had a driver.
God knows what goes on his mind, she thought.
"How long will it take for us to reach?" Elizabeth's eyes widened at something and she asked him.
"Why?" he asked her and saw her looking at the mirror. He saw that some people were chasing them.
"Don't worry about paparazzi," he said in nonchalance and hit on the accelerator to increase his speed as the paparazzi were trying to approach them.
Her body stiffened when he increased the speed but she felt relief when she looked through the mirror and saw that there was no sight of the paparazzi, she wouldn't be surprised if Aaron was a racer because of the way drove the car to get away from them. Though the rumours were put off, there were still few paparazzi who tried to follow Aaron to find the truth.
It was night by the time they reached home. Elizabeth was tired to even have a look around the house. The maids bowed as the couple entered into the house. Aaron headed towards the stairs for Elizabeth to follow him. Elizabeth smiled at the maids gently before taking the stairs. She lifted her gown a little while taking the stairs but this time, a maid was quick to come in help for her to which Elizabeth was thankful. The maids who saw her in the wedding gown were amazed not only by her beauty but also by her gentle smile. She won their hearts the moment she smiled at them warmly. Never in their dreams, had they thought that their master would marry someone in his life time.
