It was one of the cold nights with only few stars twinkling in the vast sky, the cold wind was blowing against the trees and the water was streaming under the bright moon. The lights from lamp posts gleamed over the sleepless roads where a young boy and a girl stood on a bridge, looking at the sky. 

"Lizzie, I don't want us to be friends anymore." 

"W_what? I thought you liked us being friends," she asked him innocently. 

"No silly, what I meant is I don't want us to be only friends, I want more than that. I want you to be mine and I to you, do you understand?" he asked her. 

"You are the silly one to not understand the clues I left for you all these months. I was waiting for you to tell me your feelings, took you a long time," she blushed, looking away. 

"Would you have still waited if I hadn't told you today?" he asked. 

"I am fortunate to see how much you care for me, if you hadn't told today you might have told tomorrow. What's the fun in telling you about me when I was sure you would come to tell me one day," she replied. 

"I love you, Lizzie. And trust me, I had been meaning to tell you this since a long time," he said, brushing her cheeks with the back of his finger to touch the softness of her skin that turned red because of the three magical words. 

"I love you too though you made me wait for a long time," she blushed away to hide her face from him.
