I was slightly disappointed when reading the additional message on the window but I set my attention back to the realms.
'So I'm at Spirit Warrior.' As I was reading the information on the window, I realized something.
"Lillia should be back by now right?" Instead of waiting anymore, I wheelchair-ed into the forest in search of Lillia. Usually, when Lillia goes into the forest, it's for food and she only takes about half an hour so waiting another 30 minutes was already patient enough.
Instead of straining my hands and arms, I used magical energy to move the wheelchair around which was much more convenient.
As I entered the enormous cluster of trees that spanned for kilometers, they gave off an uncomfortable feeling. After being in the forest of trees for almost 10 minutes, I could see faint glimpses of shadows and feel faint presences from behind me. It didn't help that the trees blocked almost every bit of sunlight making it incredibly dark.
I was never a fan of the dark, I had a feeling if I stared into the darkness too long then a figure would emerge. Every time I thought of that scenario I could feel a shiver run down my spine but I decided to advance forward.
[20 Minutes Later]
I could hear faint grunting coming from in the distance, which wasn't too far away. I multiplied the speed I was moving at and moved through the bumpy and earthy terrain of the forest. The shadows and gazes grew more evident as time passed.
'This place is definitely not safe for me.' The only thing I want to do is find Lillia and quickly leave this scary forest. Even though I had a method of defending myself, you have to keep in mind that I'm in a wheelchair. All someone has to do is grab my wheelchair and I'm done for.
As I got closer, I could just barely make out what the person ahead was saying.
"I only came to get food for my companion, I promise!" The voice sounded similar to Lillia's. Since I wasn't stupid, I didn't call out to her, I just tried my best to stay quiet, although it was rather difficult considering I was in a WHEELCHAIR. The advantages and disadvantages of a wheelchair in this world were balanced but could lean to one said fairly easily.
"This is my Shadow Garden! How dare you intrude upon my scared territory!" An angry and spine-chilling voice roared as dust particles flew towards me. Just in case I had to defend myself, I started practicing the Phoenix & Crow Technique and formed a phoenix.
'I'm a dumbass! Whoever's over there is definitely gonna know I'm here now!' Welp, there goes my stupid plan. I completely forgot about cultivators being able to sense magical energy and the person ahead was no doubt a cultivator.
I immediately felt a terrifying gaze directed to my exact position. I hesitated for a second before 'back-pedelling with the quickness' to the edge of the forest. Although this might look selfish, Lillia I both knew that there was no chance I was going to be able to fight against whoever that person was.
Since I only recently started cultivating, I was way too weak to go around challenging anyone. Before I could even start moving backward, my wheelchair was frozen in place, or rather, my entire body was frozen in place as if someone or something was grabbing me.
'If Lillia was begging this person, then I'm literally dead.' I thought to myself as visible beads of sweat rolled down my forehead.
