Two months have passed since I entered Jane's garden. The more I thought about it, the plainer the name became. Actually, it was a really plain name, to begin with, but I'd rather not die for telling Jane that.
Since I began working on the garden, Jane removed the 'security measure' on the garden; allowing me to cultivate. Over the span of two months, I managed to do a few things with the Phoenix & Crow Technique. First of all, I managed to create 2 cores inside of one phoenix, but the thing is that it's not even a loophole.
It's just as hard as creating another phoenix while keeping the first one together. The hardest part about it is created another phoenix layer on top of the first one to ensure that the phoenix doesn't dissipate lie before.
As I successfully did this, I realized that all I did was finally manage to create another phoenix while keeping the first one together. It turned out that there really was no loophole in the technique. If I try to add a small second core, then the phoenix layer breaks.
Anyways, I managed to create my 3rd phoenix just a few days ago. Another thing I tried to do was create a crow, which I did. Forming the crow was just as hard as forming my second phoenix, so I'm guessing it's a 'double the work for half the result' type of thing.
By now, the garden is slowly but surely recovering its past vitality. Apparently, based on what Jane told me, the reason that the plants died out was because of 2 reasons.
Reason one, because a fight occurred between her and a magical beast which caused some stray attacks to damage the plants. The second reason was that she absorbed all of the magical energy from the plants during the fight. It turns out that the garden is like another magical energy reserve for her.
I also learned how to finally create dirt solely from magical energy, well, not completely yet. I'm only capable of making a few handfuls of dirt, although that's enough for now. It also helped me train my control over magical energy, which helped me create my 3rd phoenix!
"Killian! can you go out and find some more plants? I finished filling up this plot of dirt!" Lillia shouted to me. I had no choice but to do it as I was too far into the forest to try going back to the entrance on my own.
I wheelchair-ed my way out of the garden and into the forest, barely. The garden was still within my sights, and when I can't see it anymore is the limit of how far I can go. As I moved around, I picked up tons of flowers similar to the ones in the garden. Just as Jane said, there was no need for any special plants.
As I was picking up some plants, I noticed a dense cluster of magical energy ahead of me. While still picking up more plants, I could feel the magical energy clearer and clearer. As I looked up and checked my surroundings, I noticed a plant sitting in a cluster of regular plants.
It was a lotus, the color of it was black in the middle but bright fiery red on the leaves and yellow at the tip. It was like a rainbow, the black slowly became red as it spread and the red slowly became yellow. I could feel my magical energy moving around inside my body as I stared at the plant.
"What is this plant?" I said to myself.
