Knock! Knock! Knock!
The rough knocking sound carried an obvious anger.
Abigail raised her eyebrows. Here we go again!
"Open the door, fat bitch. Don't think I don't know you're in there pretending!" No response for a long time. Rose Taylor cursed in a suppressed voice.
Abigail did not react.
"Diana Edith, break it down for me." Thinking about how this fat bitch almost ruined Ruby's good marriage today and caused Lincoln Green to become suspicious of her and her daughter, she was raging with anger.
"Yes, ma'am!" Diana Edith, whose wrist was almost broken by Abigail's grip and who had taken a hard fall, was seething with hatred. She complied with a heavy crash against the door.
Suddenly, the door opened.
Bang!
"Ah..." Diana Edith crashed into nothing, falling heavily on the ground without any defense. Her face, covered in fat, hit the handle of a randomly thrown mop in the messy bedroom, causing her to howl in pain.
"Aunt Edith, what are you doing?" Abigail intentionally yawned, looked up innocently at Rose Taylor, and asked.
Rose Taylor watched the hopelessly fallen Diana Edith and then glanced at the sleepy-looking Abigail, who appeared to have just woken up, and her anger flared. "Did you do this on purpose?"
"Auntie, I don't understand what you're talking about." Abigail rubbed her chubby face, still a bit groggy.
"You..." Rose Taylor was rendered speechless, looking with a shadowed gaze at the fat woman before her, as if trying to spot any deception in her expression, but could see nothing. Could it be that she was overthinking? For so many years, this little bitch had always obeyed her unconditionally, she couldn't have possibly gotten smarter just because she had a child now, could she?
"Auntie, are you here to ask me about knowing Mr. Piers..."
"You still dare to mention Mr. Piers?" Rose Taylor, still pondering, panicked slightly upon hearing the name.
"It really was just a misunderstanding. Mr. Piers helped me out of kindness at the gate. I didn't mean to steal my sister's fiancé." Abigail explained sincerely.
She hadn't meant to before, but now she did.
"It's good you don't. Just look at your pathetic self, and you think you can steal Mr. Piers?" Rose Taylor sneered coldly, looking at Abigail's obese body with disdain.
Abigail hurriedly nodded in agreement but murmured reluctantly, "But... Auntie, can I at least see the baby? He's so young, and he hasn't had a single sip of his mother's milk. It's so pitiful..."
"Dream on. Aren't you afraid your father will find out? Get angry that you got pregnant before marriage and bring disgrace to the Green family, and then throw you out?" Hearing Abigail mention the child, Rose Taylor lowered her voice and threatened.
Abigail sneered inwardly but innocently asked, "Why does my premarital pregnancy disgrace the Green family, but my sister Ruby's does not anger my dad?"
"Because you're just a low..." bitch who doesn't deserve the Piers family.
"Oh, I get it. It's because sister Ruby isn't Dad's biological daughter, right?" Before Rose Taylor could finish, Abigail had a sudden realization.
Rose Taylor, who had worked in the Green family for eight years, hated others saying her daughter wasn't the real heiress of the Green family. When she had just married in, many mocked her for bringing a hindrance and calling Ruby Green a bastard with an unknown father.
She had worked hard to suppress that gossip, spent a lot of effort creating the illusion that Ruby was the eldest daughter of the Green family at school, and even fabricated the story that Abigail was an illegitimate child.
So Rose Taylor was most averse to others saying her daughter wasn't the genuine heiress, was a fake.
Now, being exposed by Abigail, Rose Taylor was not only furious but also started wondering if what this fat bitch said might be true, that because Ruby wasn't Lincoln Green's biological daughter, her premarital pregnancy didn't anger him. She forgot entirely that all these problems had been caused by her own actions.
"Auntie… was I wrong when I said that?" Abigail asked considerately, seeing Rose Taylor's face turn green and white.
In her furious rage, Rose Taylor raised her hand to slap Abigail. Abigail, flustered, stepped back, causing Diana Edith, who had been trying to get up, to topple back down, her already hurting wrist landing right on the mop handle again, making her cry out in pain once more.
"You still dare to dodge?" Rose Taylor was enraged.
"Dad!"
One word, and Rose Taylor turned around in panic.
