Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Do a Good Deed Each Day

When Brandon Piers came out, Abigail was already standing by his car.

The dignified man looked pale, gazing at the chubby girl. "Miss Green, hasn't the money been returned?"

"The Green family is celebrating Elder Piers's birthday today. I missed the Green family's car. Could you give me a ride?" This was Abigail's true purpose today.

Pullan thought this chubby girl didn't know her place. "Our young master isn't one to give just anyone a ride…"

"Okay." For some reason, thinking of the small creature at home, only eight days old, who had similar almond-shaped eyes as the girl in front of him, he felt unable to refuse. Especially those eyes… He couldn't bear to see them dimmed.

Pullan was stunned, looking at his young master, puzzled. Recently, the young master had been quite approachable.

He really helped anyone and took anyone for a ride.

"A good deed a day." Seeing Pullan in a daze, Brandon lazily replied.

Pullan touched his nose, thinking of how Elder Piers, upon seeing the little master, had excitedly knocked his cane, saying it was the Piers family's accumulated virtue that had brought it to fruition, and asked everyone in the family to do a daily good deed.

But had the young master done it before?

Abigail had already prepared herself for rejection, but unexpectedly, the other party agreed. For a moment, she was hesitant, but Brandon had already gotten into the car.

Without thinking any further, Abigail quickly followed.

The black Bentley slowly drove out of the parking lot, heading towards the Piers' old mansion.

In the car,

Abigail glanced at the man beside her, who had put on gold-rimmed glasses after getting in and was now reviewing documents. He appeared even more refined and scholarly. "Are you scheduling surgery with Dr. Foster?"

"Are you stalking me?" Brandon raised his eyes. The reflection from the car window on his glasses gave off a cold light, unintentionally exerting pressure.

However, Abigail was unfazed. "Given your condition, at Sincere Hospital, apart from Jeffrey Foster, no one else would dare to take the case."

Brandon stared into Abigail's unusually calm eyes. Never had a woman remained so composed after he exerted pressure. "Aren't you capable?"

"Indeed." Abigail cocked an eyebrow with satisfaction. Suddenly, she moved her chubby face close to Brandon's chest. "I can see your heart. Do you believe me?"

Abigail's abrupt action caused Pullan, who saw the scene from the rearview mirror, to jolt, nearly hitting the side barrier. Then, he saw his young master coldly glaring into the rearview mirror, so he quickly averted his inquisitive gaze.

"I don't believe you." Brandon lifted Abigail's head with two fingers, answering bluntly.

"Your heart isn't the major issue. It's just located in a unique position, requiring a blind stitch. But that's not the biggest problem…" Abigail paused at this point. "Logically, though blind stitching is challenging, with the Piers family's financial resources, it shouldn't be delayed until now. The only problem should be the blood. You have a rare panda blood type and need intraoperative blood supply, right?"

This kind of surgery had the highest risk and difficulty level.

Brandon's hand, holding the pen, froze. "You investigated me?"

She had investigated thoroughly.

"This doesn't require investigation. One look at your heart combined with simple logical deduction is enough. So, what do you say? Want me to treat you?" Abigail finished, raising her beautiful almond eyes towards the man.

"How can I trust you?" Brandon didn't believe the chubby girl could see internal organs, such nonsense.

"Well… In two months, there will be a medical competition at Sincere Hospital, featuring cardiac stitching techniques. I can participate." Abigail remembered correctly, in two months Brandon would be engaged to Ruby Green.

She wanted a promise from Brandon.

"Alright." Brandon gazed at Abigail for a long while before softly responding. Rationally, he knew this was just the little girl's trick. But, for some reason, he felt a sliver of hope in his heart.

At that moment, Pullan stopped the car. They had arrived at the Piers' old mansion.
