It was around six am when I woke up to the sun shining brightly through the curtains. After taking a couple of moments to stretch, I quickly got dressed in my disguise, packed my bag, before checking out of the motel room. There were still places I wanted to look around before I was forced to leave at noon.
I walked to the rustic café on the corner of the street, close to the motel, ordering a cappuccino, with extra whipped cream. While I was waiting, I watched the customers flow in and out, keeping an eye out for two people.
When my drink was delivered to my table, I pulled out the romance novel that I bought yesterday and hid in a corner drinking my drink. I hid out of sight, behind an ivy-covered wall, because of two reasons; one was to be away from people, and the other was to avoid the Mafia King.
I'm sure the Mafia King would bring more attention to me, which I didn't need, especially on a business trip. And while he wasn't known as the Mafia King to many people, he was also the famous CEO, Jacob King.
I stayed at the rustic cafe till about 8:00, which was when Jonathan caught up to me after, letting out a sigh of relief when he saw me. Once he ordered coffee he walked over to me, taking a couple of moments to finish it, before asking for orders.
"Miss, where are we going next?" He asked, I picked up my overnight bag, handing it over to him. I felt uneasy for some reason then shrugged my shoulders thinking it was normal, until I turned around from my table when I heard a familiar voice, once again.
'Fate still didn't answer my pleas.'
"Ms. Allen, leaving already?" He asked aloud. Turning around to face the tall man with stunning teal eyes, I hid my look of uneasiness. Jonathan was looking between us trying to figure out what had happened while he was gone, and I frowned once he met my eyes.
Although Johnathan seemed to be the type to get excited when he was meeting the famous young CEO in person, I could only pray that wasn't the case now. What Jonathan didn't catch last night, was the wink, and it seemed that he didn't realize, I was trying to get away from him at this moment.
"No actually I arrived here early, and I have more sightseeing to do. Enjoy your day Mr. King." I answered his question, also dismissing him while taking a couple of steps back to distance us. He noticed, and without any hesitation he then reached out and grabbed my wrist gently, pulling me back to him.
"Don't go." He whispered into my ear as he hugged me tighter. I watched in shock as Jonathan came up and reached up to pull us apart, but stopped in midair. Scrunching my brows together, watching as he whimpered and bowed his head to Mr. King, even stepping away from us.
I watched this happen with a look of bewilderment, before trying to shove Mr. King off of me as he turned his teal eyes on me. He wore a smug look, as he was now had a tight grip on both my wrist and waist, watching me struggle under his hold.
"Let go of me." I ordered in a clear voice trying to push this man off, and after three tries of shoving him, I managed to slip through his tight grip and promptly left the store. However, I managed to leave him amused, which severely infuriated me.
'Why did he have to get close to me in a store, even in public?! Father is going to be mad if there are any pictures. I hope he solves that.' I grumbled to myself, as I met up with Johnathan, who glanced at the store with a confused expression.
"Mackenzie, I'm so sorry, it's just that something overcame me." I glared at him for calling my name out, and he brought up his hand to his mouth with his eyes wide. Turning my focus on finding a taxi, I wanted to get far from this café and Jacob King.
During the hug, it felt like the handshake, fuzzy, static, and warm. What I did not expect from Jacob King was to be forced into a hug, in a public place. 'What is wrong with him, he's only met me for three days.' I thought bitterly to myself as I watched a taxi pull up, getting in with a different destination set in my mind.

"Alpha, who was that young lady?" A young wolf walked up behind holding the alpha's drink after he saw the young lady leave the store. He managed to catch the sight while he was walking toward him, but stopped in his tracks when he saw the Alpha holding a girl, a young one.
Even though the Alpha was also young, the young wolf did not expect his cold Alpha to be holding a girl affectionately. And he didn't know how to feel as he saw those terribly ice-cold eyes soften looking at the young girl, the poor wolf shivered thinking about it again.
"Someone that belongs to me now." I answered, drinking my cup of regular hot coffee, hiding my smirk as my Gamma was in shock. I kept staring at the door hoping it would open, before looking way hiding my smirk.
"James, I have a mission for you." I turned to look at him and he stood tall waiting for orders. "Follow that trail, specifically that wolf." I ordered, watching him process my words, before nodding. The young wolf sniffed the air, catching the scent, ready to track someone.
I was telling my Gamma to go after the man because I didn't want anybody seeking my mate, even if I could trust the fact that this man wouldn't hurt her. It's just something that my wolf is not okay with.
Although what that wolf tried to interfere, he knew who I was in the beginning, and was stuck between protecting the girl, and listening to commands. When I reached him through dominance, he just gave up and let me control him, either trusting that I wasn't going to harm her, or he had no other choice.
"Yes Alpha, what about the girl?" James asked, not thinking before he spoke. When I turned and faced him, he bowed his head in respect, noticing the slight shift in my mood. I thought about how I was going to tell him without telling him -she was my mate- but my phone rang.
"Yes, this is Jacob King speaking." I answered and Elena spoke in an irritated tone. It almost reminded me of Miss 'Allen', upset that I didn't catch the name of the daughter's name, after putting pieces together.
"Sir your father is here to see you, what time are you returning today?" She asked, sounding out of breath like she's been busy the whole morning either dealing with my father or business things.
"I'll be arriving at noon, I'm leaving in a couple of minutes. Tell him we'll have a meeting at one." I hung up the phone then looked at the young wolf, finishing off the order, seeing how he was still here.
"Follow that scent, and see where it goes, then report back to me. As for the girl, don't touch her." With that order the young wolf left the shop, shifting as soon as the door closed, and I went to my sports car, driving back to London, UK

"I want cake." I muttered as the taxi drove us to the the closest subway station since it was getting close to our departure. The old man looked at me then at Jonathan and chuckled, not bothered by my mood, even though this was just a small portion of my frustration.
I knew I sounded like a spoiled kid, and I probably was, but after being hugged by a complete stranger, I was severely irritated. And it grew worse when I thought about it. I couldn't help but think about it, thinking about that stupid amused expression.
"There is a cake store close to the station, if your train leaves within the hour, you should be able to go by. And young man, I suggest you get her some cake." Jonathan chuckled and looked back to me. For most of the morning, we've traveled around to other places and scenic spots to take pictures, up until eleven, so we could make it to the station.
Currently were acting like brother and sister, which seemed believable with how we acted.
"Which flavor?" He asked, despite knowing that I was coming with him. I thought about the different flavors then chose one. I was in the mood to eat chocolate, and maybe that might change my mood, however, most likely not.
"I think I'm going with the Devil's chocolate cake." I open my door when the taxi stopped and walked over to the cake shop with Jonathan tagging along. I thought about what Jonathan meant when he said that he felt overpowered by something, but as I tried to think what it could have been, I came up empty-handed.
The waitress greeted us and asked what we wanted, and I choose mine and forced Jonathan to pay, since I was still slightly irritated. We walked across the street back to the station, and suddenly I thought I saw a familiar car pass by.
Watching it pass, I knew it was his car just by the style of it and the hair of the person driving it and I clenched my jaw and fists in response.
"Miss?" Jonathan looked over my shoulder then looked back down. I dragged him to the subway station and we hopped on. Sitting in a quiet car, I started reading my book again for the next couple of hours, ignoring Jonathan completely.
