The next morning I woke up it was a rainy. Turning 15 felt boring, yet I could feel the beginning of change happening. I decided to stay home on that Friday. I was born on the month of May, on the 20th. Sadly this lovely morning was of course the start of my period.
Even though I had a quiz today, It wasn't worth going to school. I knew when I woke up that I was going to be moody all day. This quiz was not going to count for anything, there was honestly no point showing up to school.
Finally rolling out of the bed, I felt nauseated when I stood up, my vision going crazy and felling sick to my stomach. Dropped to the ground, on my fuzzy rug, I drew attention from the maids. Maid Maria came in for her daily cleaning and helped me to the restroom, calling for my father.
When I heard his footsteps, he shooed the maids out and crouched next to me. I promptly threw up on his shoes and didn't feel bad. I probably would have giggle if I wasn't so nauseated.
He took a deep breath then stuck me with a sedative. I leaned on him as I was slowly losing my conscious. He picked my up and carried me like a baby before I passed out. It almost reminded me of my younger years.

I woke up in a run down room, and it wasn't home. I could smell the sea salt, which meant that I was taken far. I don't know how long I was out, but I did feel sore, since I was lying down on the cold floor.
I heard a knock on the door then someone walked in. He threw me some clothes, when I noticed I was in my birthday suit, with a piece of cloth covering me. I blushed instantly then turned away from the man.
I quickly threw on the clothes, because it was not only cool, but the floor was concrete. The man turned around when I finished dressing, not bothering styling the outfit since I didn't plan on going anywhere.
I was severely parched and was looking for something to drink when, a bottle of water was thrown in my direction. I caught the bottle and drained it glancing toward the man occasionally.
'Where am I?' I thought to myself as I looked around the building. It was almost like a dome, there was the inner circle where I was, then the outer circle with posts holding the ceiling where the man was standing.
The building looked worn, like it has been used harshly. The columns has scratches and chunks missing in some of them, and the walls also had scratches, but also blood. 'what happened here?' I thought as I glanced around the room a couple of times.
I tried to speak to the man, but my voice was gone, like I was screaming or talking for a long time. I tried to figure out how long I was out, all I remember was being nauseated and father sticking me with something, then waking up here.
"Mackenzie Young, my name is Ryan. I know you have a lot of questions, but I'm sorry to say that this is not the time to tell you. You've only made it through two nights of shifting, trust me when I say that nobody saw you." He took a breath and leaned on the pole next to him, watching me with tired eyes.
"Your father knew that this was going to happen, and we brought you here to the coast, 'cause not many people come here. Also because your form is unusually large and hard to hide. We also brought you here because it would hard to have two shifting wolves in one house. Your father has hidden himself, but people would ask questions about your disappearance.
"The reason why you have no voice is because you howled for the last six hours, while pacing through this room. There is a spell placed on this room to prevent you from leaving. I'll now leave you alone, so you can get a break, the next shifting should be more easy, but be prepared for it." The man walked out and shut the door behind him and I could hear the click of the door. I didn't get a good look because the lack of light, but I could tell he was about at old as my father.
I sat there for a couple of minutes to process what had he just said then stopped. My throat was in pain and there was not that much water to cover the pain. I could feel my period flowing, but I guess it didn't matter since I would be shifting again.
It was when I thought about the night before, that a memory came forward, the skin and bones were stretching taking the form of the wolf. I looked to the moon and it was glowing bright and it shined straight on me.
There was a mirror across from me, and I saw how disheveled I looked. I tried to brush my hair out with my fingers, but gave up after a couple minutes. I had a headache and the movement on my head didn't help. I stood up carefully and walked around, finding another water bottle, and drained it and took a deep breath.
Three hours later...
With heavy breaths, and cold sweat dripping of my face, I cried in agony. The pain was horrible, my bone stretched and my skin itched constantly. I moved around, but the pain wouldn't go away. I screamed quietly since I had no voice and I knew that there was somebody out there and that was most likely Ryan.
My bones felt like they were on fire, merging and formed into the limbs of the wolf. I carefully stood up, then walked around, trying to walk off the pain. Catching myself in the mirror I stopped and realized how big I was, a normal wolf would be about three feet, I was about five and a half feet tall.
My coat was a brown, with splashes of gray and speckles of black and white. My eye color stayed the same, they were just bigger. I was beautiful I had to admit, and it was very fitting for me.
Instinct took over, and the beast side looked to the moon and howled for thirty-minutes straight. There was an opening letting in the light, but also allowing the cool air to flow past. It was when I laid down that someone walked in and covered me with a blanket.
I was too tired to growl or care, I was sore and wanted to sleep in an actual bed. It was really early when I woke up the next time, Ryan was eating breakfast and waiting for me to wake up. I took a breath then wrapped myself before sitting up.
The man was African American, he had a braided locks pulled back into a half ponytail. His skin was sun kissed, and his brown eyes that were bright were surprisingly calming. When he saw me wake up he grunted and finished his meal quickly.
"Let's get you cleaned up, here, I'm taking you to my house to get you cleaned up, then we can talk when your father arrives." He spoke in a fluid tone, and threw me clothes leaving me to dress in private. I stood up and left the blanket where it covered my possible stains. Thank goodness there was a cardigan and a dark color as well.
"How long was I out for?" I asked catching up to him. He looked around, we were walking through the street where there were plenty of people. I was actually glad it was windy, because I knew my hair was in horrible shape.
"Two days the second time." We walked the rest of the way in silence, arriving to a cottage the was modernized. When we stepped into the door, the smell of meat greeted me in the air.
"Restroom is the first door on the left, you'll find what you need in there, including a fresh pair of clothes." He pointed then went into the kitchen to where a woman's voice could be heard.
