Chapter 2 - Chapter One: Assistant Screws up.

It's not everyday you get a chance to be in a movie written and directed by Charlotte Sinclair. No matter how high your status is in Hollywood in front of Charlotte, she simply didn't care. Only a limited number of people have worked with Charlotte and this year 25 year old, A-list actor Elliot has been given the chance.

He always admired her work. It was different. It wasn't one of those high school cliches, or magical fantasy land or Pee your pants horror and it was neither an action pact movie. Her movies had an intention.

In total Charlotte has released Seven movies and out of them three have won an Oscar. In all of these seven movie's, they had a similar meaning but the story was different. Other people may not realise her intention but Elliot understood it clearly.

She wants to unite people from all races, skin colour, religion and languages together in her movies. Which made Elliot admire her more. When his manager told him of the news. He accepted the job without second thought. Today was the day he would meet her so he was beyond ecstatic.

"Mr Lewis, please follow me." Said Sofia, Charlotte's assistant. Along the way Elliot couldn't help make guesses.

[How old would she be? Considering her achievements and her wise thoughts, she must be at least older than 50, right? That would put her in the same age category as my grandmother. Is she nice?]

Elliot was guided to a room; there was a long L shaped sofa in the middle of the room with plant pots surrounding it and multiple cameras set in front of them. There were people who were busy working. Elliot scanned the room to find Charlotte but there was none who stood out. Everyone was wearing the same type of clothes: a black polo shirt with the word crew spelt on the back and black jeans. Around their neck was their Id card, a black head set around their head for communication and some were even holding clipboards in hand.

"Please take a seat." As Elliot sat down some people in the room settled down; while others squealed in joy seeing their idol. Elliot flashed them an award winning smile which made their heart flutter with joy.

[Omg! he smiled at me.] With that thought in their mind they squealed even louder.

"Mr Lewis I'm sure your manager has informed you on why you're here today." Sofia ignored all the fangirls and concentrated talking to Elliot.

"Yes, I'm here to meet Charlotte the director and screenwriter of this movie, right?" Elliot turned towards Sofia

"Well yes that was the original plan but there have been some changes." Elliot raised his eyebrows.

"Charlotte has given us instructions of interviewing the main cast of the movie before anyone meets her." Elliot was confused.

[Why didn't I hear anything about an interview?] Sensing Elliots confusion Sofia explained further.

"Even though it was a short notice we did notify your assistant along with your manger about it so you could still prepare."

Elliot looked at his timid assistant standing next to a cameraman staring nervously at him, fiddling with her fingers. Elliot shook his head in dissatisfaction of her work. His manger was currently unavailable, he had gotten injured and was now resting in the hospital but he did send regularly message to him him and his assistant so they can stay on top of the schedule.

"I'm so sorry, there seem to be miscommunication on our part but please go ahead with the interview. I will try my best to answer all questions to the best of my abilities."

The interview was done and now Elliot was making his way to the car park with his assistant following close behind. He hadn't confronted her until they were out of the building.

"Why didn't you tell me something this important?"

His assistant, Leah unconsciously fiddled with her tops sleeve looked down on the floor with guilty eyes. "I-I'm sorry, i-it slipped my m-mind." She was on the verge of tears.

Elliot sighed looking at her sorry sight. "Leah I hired you because I thought you had it in you to become my assistant. I want someone who acts professional, not someone who–" He didn't finish the sentence.

Leah was hired by Elliot two months ago because he saw a potential in her. She was calm and was confident but over the period her confidence and self-esteem began to decrease because of all the mistakes she's been making during work.

Elliot has been forgiving and never scolded her but now that she slipped up big time he couldn't ignore her anymore. Her mistake could have cost him heavily. If it weren't for the question being easy, Elliot might've struggled to answer.

If there were any interviews to be held the filming crew would have to send the questions to the actor or actress. If they didn't want to answer certain questions they would have to contact the team beforehand so nobody would waste their time and no conflict would rise.

"I'll give you one more chance to show me you deserve this job and can act professional."

Leah restrained the tears and nodded. She was very thankful because she knew she would never get another boss like Elliot who is so kind to her.

"Good." Elliot smiled in satisfaction. "But you have to show me that you understand, okay."

While they were conversing they hadn't realised the figure in the car next to them was listening to their conversation. Not on purpose but the conversation intrigued her.

A smile crept on her face but was unseen from the outside because of the tainted glass.
