The journey ahead was peaceful, without giants named Buvaton, towers working magically and any more ancient stuff.
We didn't quite rush with our hermits. They ran calmly, even walking some times. We took rest a few times, lying down on the cozy grass bed which extended for miles. Our hermits also took rest. We kept moving, halting for a few minutes before reaching close enough for gaining the sight of the river in front of us.
We had to cross the river somehow, although we had no plans. We slowly reached the river bed. Getting off the hermits, we looked around. We said goodbye and the hermits rushed off on their own. That was the end of our hermit journey. There were a few trees on the side we were standing at. The grasslands had come to an end and a forest was visible on the other side of the river. As we walked, seeing the surrounding, checking for some plan to pop up, we came near a banner. It said River Aster. That didn't quite help us with our problem.
Oliver and I looked tired of the continuous journey from morning. Rock Flames was tired too, it was visible, but he forced himself to be active. Lily looked fine. She didn't seem to bother the tiresome journey.
The river was flowing pretty quickly for us to just swim and cross it. "What do we do now?" Oliver asked. Rock Flames looked at the three huge trees around us. "Let's do it the old fashioned way. Blaze, cut the tree of." Rock Flames ordered. I was almost asleep from the tiredness when Rock Flames gave me the job. I didn't want to protest so I walked up to the tree. Everyone backed away.
I faced the river got my battle-axe out. With a lot of force, I slashed the bottom part of the big tree, thinking it will land on the other side so we could cross it. Well…. It only made a dent which was embarrassing. Oliver was trying hard not to laugh. "Is that the World champion right there?" Lily scowled at me.
That hurt my feelings. Closing my eyes, I spoke to Magnum, asking him to lend his strength. Then with a force of a truck, I slammed magnum on the tree dent which immediately fell, thankfully on the other side.
I looked at Lily like how was that? She obviously didn't reply. Now there was finally a way to get to the other side. Rock Flames went first, keeping his feet on the tree and balancing himself as he walked. It is a pretty adventurous activity to do when you don't have to think about Raptor and King Jalaar's awakening.
Oliver was up next and I joined behind him. As we continued, I looked behind to see Lily's pale face. She looked at the water as if it was Raptor. A strong and wild girl like Lily was afraid of water and the face she made added to my laughter. She looked at me and tried to keep a Lily face. "What? Go on, idiot. I am coming." She said.
Still smiling, I crossed the river. Lily took her own time crossing, looking at the water flow, sitting and freaking out some times and crawling over to the other side. Then we continued. We entered the forest which was a pleasant one. I could see animals on the trees. However, we moved forward.
