Apparently, a lot had been going on while I was asleep.
Lily and Rock Flames could not get sleep and they ventured more into the jungle, exploring the other areas we were yet to go to. They found the exit and also watched the town we had to go to next at a distance. By the time I was awake, everyone was packing their bags and getting ready to journey.
I got up in a hurry and picked my hike bag. My sound sleep had given me a boost necessary for the journey ahead. We began moving forward. The trees ahead were of weird shapes. Some were making a heart while some looked like they were talking, some others' branches surrounded the whole tree and many more weird things were going on.
We didn't bother to wait and gawk at them. The exit was clear up ahead and we walked faster there. The Saphrop rise hit us and we felt satisfied to be out of the jungle.
The town wasn't very far. We could reach there at least by afternoon. Happy about finishing our jungle safari as we were, we still had some walking to do. We didn't wait and immediately stepped on the road. The road was made only for reaching the town. There were vehicles coming and going but none was a taxi. We decided to walk for a bit more.
The roads seemed to extend forever and increase as we walked. The morning Saphrop refreshed us. We walked right beside the road, where the grass fields extended on either side till the horizon. It was about 10:00 am by the time we reached the central gates of the town. The two huge gates were open, travellers like us entering and citizens going out with their vehicles. We joined the crowd and went inside the town. The town was a total mess.
Don't get me wrong. It was beautiful and all…. But the noise pollution in the air was unbelievable. I also didn't find the citizens peaceful as the ones in Hilton town. The people conversed rudely with each other and I was happy that we did not need to talk to them. The shopping area was filled with shouts, from promoting their shops to fighting each other.
As we walked, we found the houses built straight to the other end on both the sides of the road. That area was very peaceful and I tried to enjoy every bit of it, knowing the fact that we would soon hear screams again when we continue.
But I was wrong. The path ahead was also peaceful. Even the people looked helpful and different. Thought not knowing us, they smiled as we walked past them. It was hard to believe that the area was a part of the same town.
Then we reached to the central point where a circled was formed, leading to six different routes. In the middle of the road, a statue of a great warrior was stood. He held a hammer and was in a war position.
Then my eyes shifted to a commotion at the other side of the road. Looking out for the vehicles, we crossed the road. When we reached there, I saw someone in the middle of the crowd. We crashed through the crowd ahead and found a boy.
He was dressed in a saffron t-shirt and blue jeans, showing off his teeth. He didn't look bigger than any of us. His green eyes were distracting and he held something in his hand.
Everybody clapped for him which added to the curiosity of what he had done. I couldn't stay without asking and looked to my right. "Sir, what is happening here?" I enquired. The man smilingly said, "The boy has once again proven his skills. He made a new invention!"
We looked at each other with more curiosity. Slowly, the crowd subsided and in the end, only we were left there. The boy was also leaving when Lily happened to ask, "Excuse me. Who are you?" The boy scanned all of us and smiled, "You look new, because you don't know me. I am Xavier Bruno. I am the strongest warrior of Sterlin town."
