CRANE, THE SPY (2)
A meek looking boy that is about at the age of 17 to 19 was patiently waiting but at the same time he was quite feeling uneasy. It is because he was unsure if he arrived at the right place.
The boy was wearing a zipped-up dark collar, which serves as a 'mask' that covers both his lips and nose.
"I wonder when will they arrive?" he asked to himself.
But after some seconds, a terrible thought popped into his head.
"Or am I just in the wrong place?"
He was about to leave the place and look around the area, so he could confirm if he got the right place to meet up.
Just then, two individuals could be seen at the distance on the way where the Tree of a Realm is supposed to be located at.
That is when Crane sighed in relief. He did arrived at the correct location. It's because the way towards where the Tree of a Realm is too complicated especially when the terrain surrounding it changes every time. It was quite hard to remember a specific "place".
The location that they were agreed to meet up is supposed to be the "entrance". But strictly speaking, there is no exact "entrance".
When Syton finally saw his friend at a distance, joy enveloped his eyes. He quickly ran towards where Crane was.
Crane was confused why Syton suddenly ran to him then hugged him tightly. As far as Crane remembers, Syton does not usually act like this.
"Uhh?"
Syton released his arms from Crane then looked at him using his pitiful eyes.
"Do you have a red potion? We need a whole lot!"
That is when Crane finally noticed how awful Syton and his friend was. Both of them are all covered with wounds.
Crane had no choice but to give Syton the red potion that he have. Syton and Stalane thanked him then immediately drank the potion.
"Ahh, it's a good thing you're here" Syton said as he tapped Crane's shoulder.
"I am really amazed that you managed to leave that place alive. I already told you how dangerous that place was" Crane said.
"It's not really that bad as what you described it was" Syton defended.
Crane can't believe what he have just heard. He helplessly sighed as he asked Syton. "Can't you see yourself?"
"This happened all because of this guy. He got too over-confident when he defeated the Cuazenta, so he got the guts to challenge a higher rank dera. Then after getting too sidetracked , he just realized both of us just ran out of red potions" Stalane explained.
Syton coughed then tried to rephrase what Stalane said to save some face.
"To be clear, Stalane also got distracted by hunting some deras. She was really into it better than me. Anyway, that's not the point here. We just want to appreciate your presence here! You're our savior, Crane! Don't worry, I'll pay the red potion back!"
Crane shook his head, "No, it's fine. All that matters is both of you are safe"
Syton was used to Crane's personality so he didn't tried to argue any further. But he already note to himself that he will definitely pay Crane back someday.
"By the way, this is my partner, Stalane" Syton introduced Stalane to Crane.
Crane shyly nodded. "Uh, yes. I'm Crane. Nice to meet you, miss Stalane"
Stalane didn't respond back but just silently observed Crane, which made Crane feel nervous.
"Anyway, shall we head to a town first? We really need to buy some more foods and potions. We literally ran out. It's a good thing that Stalane knows how to cook after I taught her" Syton said.
Crane tilted his head.
"I thought you don't know how to cook? So, how were you able to teach her?"
Syton's enthusiastic face slowly fades after Crane's question. It made Crane wonder if he said something wrong.
"I meant how the system of cooking works here. I know I can't cook, Crane. You don't have to slap it to my face" Syton replied in a bitter voice.
Stalane can't help but to giggle at the side. Syton looked at Stalane with his eyes telling her to stop laughing.
Stalane could still remember clearly how Syton was panicking after they realized that they already ran out of foods and potions.
Syton then remembered that some of the cards that he have could be used as an ingredient to be cooked. But the sad news was he doesn't know how to cook.
That is when Syton asked Stalane if she knows how to cook. Stalane was confused at first but still honestly answered that she does know how. Stalane was required to learn how to do so since it was part of her mission before. On that specific mission, she was disguised as someone else and the person she was portraying as knows how to cook.
Syton was really glad to hear it. But, Stalane continued her sentence.
She said to him : "I do know how to cook back when I was still on Earth. But I have not been able to try cooking anything yet ever since I arrived here."
That is also the time when Syton taught her how cooking works with the help of the system. The bracelet on their wrist will serve as their pot, while they'll watch over and type in on how the process of cooking should be done. Basically it's a combination of coding and cooking. One mistake from the process will lead to a "failed meal".
"Let's just go. There's still two ingredients we need to locate to be able to get the second gem" Syton said as he started to walk ahead. The other 2 followed.
While they were silently walking, Stalane took this as a chance to talk with Crane.
"I heard you were a spy?" Stalane asked.
Syton also heard this so he took a quick glimpse at them as he meaningfully grinned.
Crane nodded.
"It's an upgraded class of thief, right? Does a hunter class have an upgraded class too?" Stalane asked.
"Yes, it's called striker. The only difference of a hunter and a striker is that a hunter uses bow and arrows. While striker uses a gun"
Stalane become more interested at the upgraded class after she heard the word "gun", which is really familiar for her. It's a weapon that she used ever since she was a child.
Syton saw how Stalane's eyes shout interest.
"You'll upgrade your class? I heard its kind of a long process though" Syton interrupted.
"I'll do so if I have time"
"Then rank up first! Let's do the upcoming Brave Challenger Games together!" Syton suggested.
"Let's finish this quest first before talking about anything else"
