The bully shuddered, feeling suddenly intimidated by her aura.
"What guts does she have to show her face here?" Ugly emotions swelled up in her. "If I could just tear up that pretty face of hers." Her eyes twitching at the thought of it.
"Bitch, you can't tell me what to do?" She flung her hand towards my face.
I caught her hand before it could get to my face, digging my nails into it. She tried to free her hands from my grasp but couldn't.
"Bitch, let me go," she struggled, screaming.
"So you dish out but can't take it," I taunted.
Rage boiled through my body, my eyes glazed; Kemi, my childhood friend, was bullied the same way. I never knew until it was too late. She died.
"I couldn't save Kemi, but I can prevent this from happening now."
I threw my hand forward as hard as I could, whipping it across her face.
The sound of my palm in contact with her skin echoes vastly. Tingles of pain started in my palm. My palm was bright red as the mark on her face.
A grin formed on my lips as her hand slowly held her flaming cheek, disbelief painting her face.
Slowly gaining a sense of my surrounding, I noticed the crowd of people trying to see what was going on.
"Are you alright?" Kay asked, concerned, as she reached my side.
"That bitch," Kayla said, glaring at them as she was closed in.
"I'm ok," I replied softly.
"Kayla get her a blanket." I gestured toward the girl cowering behind me.
"Ok," Kayla replied, turning back to do as I said.
"Hold on, she will be quick," I said, comforting the girl. She nodded back.
"Yo--u-u," the bully pointed a finger at me. "You slapped me!" she bellowed. "Why aren't you doing something about it, she glared at her minions."
they stood there staring at her, then she stormed out in indignation.
"You can go back now, there's nothing to see here," Kay said dispersing the crowd.
"Here's the blanket," Kayla gushed out.
"Thank you". Taking it from her, I covered the girl in it.
"Thanks," she muttered. "If you had not helped---."
"It's no problem, trash like that needs to be taken out!" Kayla said.
"As she said, it's no problem at all." I smiled at her. "What your name?"
"May," she smiled shyly.
"May, she wouldn't trouble you again ok?"
"Thanks again," she said, holding the blanket tightly around her as she left.
"Here come the guys, they missed the whole thing," Kay said, seeing them approach us.
"What happened?" Xavier asked, I could hear the concern in his voice tone.
My eyes swept over him, his gaze fixed on me. His body was wet, his skin glistening from small beads of water, his broad shoulders tapered into slender hips, he was just on swim trunks, displaying his abs, his raven hair still wet half-covering his face made his gaze intense. My hand itched to part of his hair as I stare into those hazel eyes.
His voice husky and sensuous to my ears. "Are you ok?" He whispered.
I flushed. Reining in my thought.
"Are you alright?" Xander asked.
"Um, yes." I croaked out, as he drew me close to examine me.
"She's ok alright, she taught that bitch a lesson," Kayla hoots out, laughing.
"Girl, you are full of surprises," Tony grinned at me.
"Who was she?" Xander asked.
"It was Amanda," Kay replied.
"Do you know her?" I asked, tilting my head to look at Xander.
"Yeah, she's in our school. Her dad has a business deal with Charles, plus she always stalking Xavier."
Xavier glanced at me and I gazed right back. I got the feeling, he was trying to assure me. But what does it matter, I don't own him. He's free to like any girl he wants. My heart pricked at the thought. "You must be crazy, Glory," I muttered to myself.
"Kay, that guy has been staring at you for a long time, oooooh, he's coming here," Kayla giggled.
"Shut up Kayla," Kay admonished, her face scarlet.
It was the guy, that threw the ball at me while playing volleyball.
The guy suddenly approached Kay, I couldn't hear what they were saying, but I could tell from their demeanor.
Kay bowed her head shyly to reply to whatever he said to her. He smiled at her.
Aww, my sister got a date? Kayla teased, as Kay returned.
"What's his name?" Leo asked.
"Liam," she blushed, compelling us all to chuckle.
"Guys, it's getting late," Tony said
"Let's pack our stuff."
