Someone was interrupting my beauty sleep. I threw a pillow in the direction of the noise, snuggling into my bed.
Something cold drenched my skin. I jumped out of bed, my butt hit the cold hard floor. Wondering who would do such a thing, I opened my eyes to find Xander grinning at me.
"What the heck, Xander," I yelled, glaring at him from my position.
"It's Saturday morning," he said still grinning.
Glaring at him, I replied, "So what does it has to do with me?"
"We are going jogging." He said, offering a hand in assistance.
"Fuck off," I growled, pushing his hand away and getting up on my own.
"Grouchy much," he mumbled, revealing what he held behind his back.
"Here, I brought a peace offering."
"Is that cake? Chocolate cake?" I gasped, feeling awake all of a sudden.
"Yes, it is," he nodded. "So am I forgiven? And will you go with me?"
"Of course," I replied, grabbing the cake from him. I took a bite, sweetness exploding in my mouth, my eyes rolling back at the sheer taste of it. Yum, this is good.
"Yeah, yeah I know, just get ready, will you? He said. Meet me outside, ok?"
"Ok, give me a minute," I said, darting into the bathroom as soon I finished my cake.
Stripping off my nightwear then dumping them in the hamper, I brushed my teeth and showered as fast as I could. If I were lucky, I would be fast enough to get more cake from Marie.
Once I was done, I pulled on some panties, a black sports bra, and leggings, combed my hair into a ponytail, and forced my feet into my favorite pair of sneakers.
Assessing my looks, I sped off the room.
I greeted Marie as always, hugging her from behind.
"Good morning to you too child," Marie chuckled.
"Any cake left?" I asked wilily.
"No, darling, but I'll whip up some before you are back." Marie consoled on seeing my downcast expression.
"Ok, thanks Marie," I said, leaving.
As I hurried through the hallway to get to Xander. I was aware of Xavier before I could see him. My body tingled with so many sensations.
I was attracted to him. And he was too. I smiled, the tension between us was evident in the music room. He kept staring at me, leaning towards me.
Now the sight of him did funny things to my stomach.
"Xavier," I said in greeting. He strode past me without a word, avoiding my gaze.
I headed out, wondering if he didn't hear me. I saw no reason why he should be rude to me.
"Glory?" Xander called out, snapping me from my thoughts. "Come on".

Slow down, I—can't——keep—up. I wheeze, trying but failing to keep up to Xander's pace.
"Just a few more, you can do it." He encouraged.
"I give up," I whined, spotting a park bench nearby. "Finish your run, when you're done, you'll find me here," I said, without waiting for a reply, dropped my exhausted body on the bench.
"Let's go jogging he said, you will love it he said." I grimaced, pain spasmed my thighs, my legs felt like crumbled cookies, my toes throbbed.
The morning sun was soft, birds chipped in the sky. Tall sturdy trees encompass the arena, a slight breeze rustled its leaves to the ground. The park was barren except for an elderly couple feeding ducks in the pond and a couple of joggers. The scents of flowers wafted through the peaceful place. I almost forgot the body pains.
A loud bark pierced the air, I opened my eyes to find the source of interruption. A drooling great dane in front of me.
"Hello, where did you come from?" I said warily.
It wagged its furry body in response, licking my hand in greeting.
"Who's a good boy?" I giggled, patting its head as it woofed in berserk joy.
"Benji? Benji where did you trot off to?" A tall blond called out, strolling towards us.
Benji? It suits you. I said stroking the dog.
"You had me scared for a minute Benji," he frowned, nuzzling the dog's head. which licked him in return for the affection.
Glancing at me, he said, "Sorry, he can be a great fuss sometimes"
"Not really, he is a big softie," I grinned, inclining my head to meet his gaze.
"I'll say, he does have eyes for stunning ladies." He said, his tea green eyes twinkling.
I smiled, and who did he learn from.
"It's owner, who else?" He laughed, extending his hand. "The name is Simon and what's yours, pretty lady?"
"Glory, fine sir?" I slide my palm into his, batting my lashes at him.
He dropped a kiss on my wrist. "Nice to meet you lady Glory."
"And nice to meet you too sir Simon." I chuckled, enjoying our banter.
"Bye for now." Chuckling, he sauntered away with Benji.
"Bye," I waved at them.
Xander jogged towards me a few seconds later. "You must have been bored, staying alone."
"No, I made new friends." I beamed.
