When I heard the door slide open, I raised the covers over my head. "Bianca can you please go, I'll come down when I'm ready."
"I'm not Bianca, but I'll take that as a come-in." said an airy voice.
I lifted my head and glanced around confused. This isn't my room. Where__? I stopped as preludes of last night came rushing back.
"Ugh, last night isn't a dream."
I heard a mock outrage.
"Marie's mid-night cookie can't a dream, a dream can't taste that good. But this morning could be a dream, your wildest dream gazing upon this face."
"Are you okay?" Glory asked, gesturing for him to come closer. "Here let me feel your head, yeah seems you have the arrogance-fever, just take a dose of reality and you will be fine."
"Ah, good one," he laughed. "I like you, you will make a good buddy."
I shook my head at him. "You must be Alexander right?"
He looked stunned.
"How are you able to differentiate me from my twin? did you know I was coming here? did Marie_____"
I raised my hand, interrupting him. "Enough, I didn't know you were coming, how would I? I just woke up and Marie didn't describe you.
I could tell because your eyes are different I can tell. I felt you were Alex."
"Oh, it's difficult for people to tell us apart."
"Ever since we were little we have been using it to our advantage."
"Anyway, the plan failed," he sighed. "I thought I could fool you with,"
I gave him a little smile.
"Who else can't fall for your tricks."
"My dad and Marie."
"And your elder brother?"
"He can tell us apart so can our friends but they still get tricked (confused), he smirked.
"That's terrible, " I said, failing to stop giggling.
"Since we are going to be best buds, call me Alex."
"Hippie, the fastest relationship I have ever had," I quipped rolling my eyes.
"I was sent to call you, so get into the shower so we can zoom out of here. Roger bestie?"
"Roger," I replied, walking briskly into the bathroom.
I took a quick shower, putting on jeans and the Calvin Klein shirt I took along to the bathroom with me
"Let's go."
"Don't you want to tweak or apply any make-up?" he stopped me. "That's what most girls do."
My brows rose.
I love make-up, dress up just as much as the other girl, when it's on all occasions, it becomes ridiculous."
"You are one of a kind," he said.
"I know it," I said, flipping my hair

"Ah, here they come," maria gushed out.
"Good morning Charles, Marie."
"Good morning Glory. How did you sleep, my child?" Charles smiled.
"Like a newborn baby."
"As u supposed to," Maria said, hugging me warmly.
"Is nobody going to ask me about my night," Xander said, feigning despair.
"Guess Maria's not gonna treat you like a baby anymore," a silvery voice said.
"Evan, stop that," she said, swiping at him and he skillfully evaded her hand.
Turning to Xander, she continued. "Ignore him, you'll still milk and cookies but once in a while."
"Once in a while?" Xander released a mock outrage.
"Hush up bro," Evan taunted.
Then he pulled out a chair to me. "Glory, you are welcome to the family, I'm Evan whatever you need you can come to big brother."
"Thanks," I replied, our eyes met before I looked away to discover Charles and Maria's bright smiles, Xander amused one, the maids setting the table. Someone was missing.
As if he were reading my thoughts Xander said. "He is coming down soon."
Marie poured out tea for Charles and placed the kettle gently on the table.
"Settle down, Evan stop taunting your brother. Breakfast is served."
"Hurry Evan, we are to be at the office earlier than usual," Charles said, then he glanced at me.
"Glory you are starting school tomorrow?"
I nodded.
"I'm sure you haven't seen the whole house, Xander and Xavier will give a tour since they are not going to school today."
"Will we," a voice drawled out.
Lord the tone was lush and did things to my body I couldn't speak of. Turning my head towards the direction it came from, I couldn't stop staring.
He was more handsome than the picture gave him credit for. he was in a form-fitting shirt, I could see the outline of abs behind that shirt and blue denim jeans that hung low on his waist.
He looked straight at me and all I could feel was his hazel stare.
His hair was still wet from the shower. I noticed, my eyes slowly taking him in and finally stopping on his lips.
I imagined my fingers in that hair as I kissed those lips.
Aware I was staring, he quirks his lips amusing and I looked away, shivering under his gaze.
Why does he affect me like this? he looks exactly like his twin and Xander doesn't do it for me.
"Xavier, it nice of you to join us," Charles said.
"You and Xander are giving Glory a tour of the house. She is staying with us until Basile decide--"
"I know Marie told me," he said.
I heaved a breath when he finally shifted his gaze from me to Charles.
Marie tugged him toward the available chair.
"Sit down."
And the only seat available was the one beside me.
I couldn't tune in to the conversation passing across, I was only aware of the person beside me.
"Glory?" Someone called my name.
He tapped me to get my attention and I jerked, feeling like I've been stunned by a live wire.
"Are you okay?" Marie asked seeming concerned.
"Yes, I'm just not hungry, can I please excuse myself?"
"Sure, just lay down for a little while and you will feel better." Charles injected. "Thank you, have a nice day Charles, Evan," I replied, walking out of there on shaky legs.
"I'll check what's wrong with her, might still be thee jetlag," Xander said, following after me.
