Chapter 3 - First To Sword Train

It's the next morning. Dawn has came. As usual, Iris and Lisa prepare me for the day.

"You seem happy today." Said Iris with a smile.

"I am." I replied. "I need to tell you something Iris." I said.

"Sure my lady, I am always here." Iris replied as though I can see the excitement in her face.

Clearing my throat, I felt a little nervous, but I knew I could trust her. "My brother is going to sword train me today." Soon that excitement face disappeared and turned into a frown.

"M- my lady, I am so happy and glad you are finally doing this, but you do realize how much risks you're taking doing this, right?" My smile turner into a pout

"Sigh... I do know, but you know my brother, he is very protective of me and loves me and I am sure he won't fail protecting me from this." I said as my smile formed on my lips again.

"What ever you say my lady, know that I will be here for you." Iris told me as she smiled at me like a proud mother.

"I know, mother." I replied as my smile kept getting bigger. Iris hugger me and it felt like a mother's hug.

....

I got ready and headed my way to the garden.

"Good morning sister."

"Brother!" I walker fast and gave him a quick hug. "Are you ready for this, sister?" Erwen asked.

"Haha, I've actually never been so ready and excited like this before." I laughed.

Erwen felt like a proud brother, of himself and his little sister. He always wanted to Daiyana happy and her happiness was his biggest priority.

"You're a fast learner, how did you know all of this?" I can see Erwen was satisfied with my secret skills.

"I would watch you all the time and I kind of learned it my self." I replied like a happy 5 year old who just learned a new word. A big smile formed on my face, I was so happy that I took that desire in my heart put actions to it.

Erwen saw me laugh and run around like a little child, but he wasn't bothered at all, in fact he always wanted to make me happy and he never failed.

....

It was night time and Erwen walked back to his chamber after getting a fresh air in the garden. He went back and saw father in his chamber. what? why is he here? he rarely comes to his chamber. "Hello, son." Erwen swallow hard.

"What brings you here father?" Erwen asked, although he was nervous if something had gotten wrong, he kept his mask on and spoke in formal manners. "Son, I have an important question for you." Erwen froze, he gaze darkened and felt his heart beat slamming on his chest. Trying his best to keep his calm face on.

"Ask me anything, your majesty." A smirk former on his father, Zeras face. Did he find out about- no, no it can't be. Erwen closed his eyes and let out a quiet sigh.

"Son, are you ready to be king?" Erwen opener his eyes wide and his gaze turner dark. what? why is he asking such question? could he be dying? Ereen froze in place not knowing what to say. He opened his mouth but no words came out.

Erwen had to think straight. "Why are you asking me such question, your majesty?" Erwen protested.

"Are you ready to be king, son?" King Zeras repeated. Erwen raised his eyebrows and his eyes widened, he tried his best not to show his emotions but inside, his heart slamming on his chest, feeling nervous and anxious and scared why he's asking him that. Yes, he was ready to be king, he had always been and knew he could be a good king but he never thought it would happen so quickly.

"Of course father, I am ready to be king and follow in your footsteps." Erwen replied to him and spoke fast. he didn't like this. He didn't like the thought of him dying. In fact, he just realized he had called him father, he would always keep things formal with him even though he did not want to but this is a kingdom family, not just any ordinary family.

"Good." Was all King Zeras said and left his chamber. Erwen stood there and froze, taking time to realize what just happened. Erwen never had anything against his father but he didn't love him. Not that Erwen wanted to stay away from him but Zeras never wanted to be too close with his family. He always put his kingdom over anything.
