Daiyana went to take a bath before heading to sleep. Coming out the bathroom, she felt a little better and more fresh. she wore a pink silk dress and a small tiara. when she walked out her parents were sitting on her couch. Daiyana stopped in her tracks finding her both mother Hazel, and her father Zeras. She immediately knew what topic they were going to discuss about and it made her heart slam against her chest and felt her stomach churn.
"Mother? Father?" Daiyana called pretending to be confused.
"Daiyana, your mother and I are here to speak with you about an important matter." Zeras spoke. Daiyana's heart began to beat even louder to the point she could even hear it. "What is the matter father?" Daiyana asked again pretending not to know."
"My dear Daiyana, you will be marrying Prince Alexander." Daiyana already had that coming but when Zeras said it right to her face, it made her feel worse. She wanted to just cry loud and scream and beg her father not to do this. When she could not take the pain anymore, she felt more weak, not to mention she was already too weak from the lack of food shes eating. Her legs refuse to support her body and it looked like the words was spinning in front of her eyes. Before she could protest, She collapsed on the floor but before she could fall, her father's strong arms caught her.
"Zeras lay her daughter on her bed and let her rest and ordered the physicians and maids to stay with her and take take good care of her.
Zeras loved his daughter but he aslo knew that she would be a great tool to gain more power. Zeras was always raised to put his kingdom first and above everything, that is what his late father would tell him all the time. But Zeras also did not want to be too attached to his daughter because eventually one day she would grit married off for alliance purposes and that was their tradition for hundreds of years. He knew that once she was gone, she be hurt and miss her parents too much because he knew how much Hazel was in pain the day of their marriage. Over time they grew love for each other and he was hoping the same to happen with Daiyana once she gets married.
Zeras left and Hazel stayed. She looked at her pained daughter. Painful memories came flashed in her mind and she felt her heart ache. Hazel truly loved her daughter a lot but she showed her love to her son more so that when the day of Daiyana getting comes, she wouldn't be in pain of leaving her mother. It was finally the time that her little angel will be leaving her soon. She was very close with her mother and her father did the same to her so she did not want to pass on the same pain to her own and the only way was to not give her the same affection and love, even though she knew how kind hearted and what a pure soul Daiyana is. The thought of it made her so sad. She wished she could tell the truth to her daughter but knowing telling her the truth would put her in even more pain.
