"Dr. Walker I invited you here today to discuss your Grandson." Mr. Smith, the School Counselor

had a very grave expression on his face. Dr. Zephania Walker had been to this elementary school

so many times before, he really didn't know what to expect. Over the past 3 yrs, his grandson

Marquez was constantly a thorn in his teachers' side. He wasn't a bad child, he was just different.

Teachers always wanted him to participate in activities with the other students, but Marquez was an

introvert so he never talked and he always kept to himself.

But who can blame him really? The boy has had a very hard time. Dr. Walker's mind drifted back to

a different time....

3yrs ago Marquez came to live With us, his grandparents Irene and I. Our daughter Lydia had

gotten pregnant right out of high school and insisted that she marry the father of her child,

Marquez Vaugnn II. We tried everything we could to get her to wait until she finished college

before getting married. But Lydia has always been stubborn and spoiled. Lydia refused to

contemplate having an abortion. Of course, she saw this as an opportunity to make sure that her

boyfriend made good on his promise to marry her. Marquez made her a promise on Prom night

that he would marry Lydia when he graduated from Medical school. Lydia immediately began to

see dollar signs in her future as the future Mrs. Marquez Vaughn II. Lydia didn't want to take the

chance of him being whisked away by another female. She knows how hoes are. She put her

devious and scandalous mind in action. So she came up with the perfect plan to trap Marquez and

she deliberately gotten pregnant on Prom night, to seal the deal.
