Vedon sat on his throne and gazed on his warlords with keen interest as he listened to the discussions between them concerning the right time to commence the attack against the different sects in the realm. He kept tapping on edge of the right arm of the throne where the head of a wild beast was sculptured with his right hand which had a dark ring on the index finger. The throne rested on the wall with three fire torches hung above it and was made of refined brass stone which was covered with a black-spotted white fur that ran from the top to the bottom of the throne and situated on a reddish platform which was smoothly decorated with stylish murals of savage beast that displayed their sharp canine and fangs and two stairways ran down at either side of the platform.
Six fire torches at the four corners of the room illuminate the dark room revealing several beautiful patterns on the wall as well as the tall black seat of each six warlords which were placed at opposite direction facing each other at the center of the spacious hall, below the raised platform. the warlords were all seated fully dressed with their black armor and were engrossed in their discussions.
"I think it's best for us to attack the Minimus sect first, because they are weaker than the Ataxians and have suitable land mass for our tribe to thrive in the future after we conquer the remaining sects", Sarvox said with utter vigor and conviction as he had stood up trying to convince Vedon to change his strategy of beginning the attack using Ataxia as a stepping stool to conquer other sects.
"No, that will only give the other sects time to prepare for a countermeasure which will make our fight more difficult. I say we continue as planned to attack Ataxia which I think is strategy correct because most of the sects depend on Ataxia and the Agekians for rations whenever their food supply is low in order to replenish their granaries so that they might survive each winter annually. Which means that if we subjugate the land, they won't have enough rations to prepare their army for a long term war and that could enable us easily defeat them both on a long and short term basis", Farrud countered as he also stood up at once from his seat.
"But the Agekians are very strong compared to other sects and should not be underestimated when it comes to sword combat, how can we defeat them with our army that doesn't match their formidable strength? Beside I think the sects are also aware of this strategy and would have prepared a plan ahead to defend Ataxia", Maravox said anxiously while seated.
"That's why I suggest we attack the Minimus sect first in order to lessen our casualties", Sarvox insisted persistently.
"But that will lengthen our fight even more which in turn would affect our rations as well as weaken our warrior's morale", Farrud retorted at once,"I still maintain my opinion that we should commence attack on Ataxia besides the fight is inevitable so it doesn't matter if they are aware or not".
"That's true but we haven't talked about attacking the Dracux sect", Taimus responded and continued,"This tribe isn't as powerful and strong as the Ataxians but they have something that we need which is their flying creatures called Trynasus. These creatures lives there in great number that the Dracux suppplies to other sects in exchange for rations and other goods, so if we subjugate this sect, we would have control over the skies which enable us easily convey our troops to station at different sections of the realm. This will in turn help us to commence our attack simultaneously and their fertile lands could also sustain our tribesmen for some years while the war is going on".
"I think it's an effective approach in the war and we could vanquish the whole sects in a single blow but there'll be a problem if we don't have adequate rations for the troops who will won't fight well if they are all hungry", Farrud replied,
"We could achieve both plans if we put it all plans together and carry it out step by step. Parallel attacks on first, Ataxia for food supplement and crippling the economy of the other sects, making them easy targets for us could be phase one of the war and Attacking the Dracux sect for the Trynasus which will serve as flight to convey our troops of five hundred thousand in group of five to attack five tribes at once. Enabling us to fight every five tribes with one hundred thousand. isn't that a good idea?", Taimus responded anticipatory while all the warlords nodded in agreement feeling satisfied with the idea.
"But we require the consent of our leader before we implement this newly devised plan", Maravox said and stood up but before he could utter any word, Vedon spoke out immediately,
"Before I approve this plan, I want to say I haven't heard from the spy I sent to Wintera and Ataxia to search for those who destined to be among the red wolf warriors tribally called the Magiz and as you all know that this Magiz as well as the one who might wield the lost sword of Zoa before I get it, will be the only opposing forces against us. The spy named Harus is yet to return back to me in order to provide me with the necessary information I need as well as something I ordered him to do before leaving Ataxia. Since he isn't here yet means that something is wrong and we can't attack Ataxia without his help, so I want us to wait for one moon until he gets here with the needed items and information",
"There isn't much time left because rumors concerning our attack have already reached Wintera that blabbermouth and proud city that called themselves sons of Asteria and even call their city Asteria, the name of the realm as well as all the other minor sects. And they might prepare adequately before we could strike their forces", Gasius said.
"And we can't afford to waste much time for this spy of yours because it might jeopardize the grand mission beside I cannot risk my troops for this spy", Farrud added brazenly.
"I know it may seem unwise to waste time at this point but you have to understand that with the weapon in my hands, this war is already won which is why I am trying to get feedback concerning its whereabouts", Vedon replied.
"This shows that he is incompetent and wasn't capable enough to achieve a simple task you assigned him for him to waste lot of time doing what we don't know of over there", Maravox snapped and carassed his thick beard that reached far down his fat belly ,"When he comes back, I'll deal with him personally with....", he was interrupted by the door which swayed opened to Harus who strode inside the hall with his dark robe and a grey inne. He carried a small bag which contains the soul stone which glowed inside his bag and swiftly went to the midst of the warlords and kowtowed before Vedon.
"Greetings your eminence, I have succeeded in carrying out the task without any difficulty due to your benevolence and power you gave me", Harus humbly said at once with outmost respect that pleased Vedon together with the warlords.
"That's very good. You may rise and quickly tell us the information you got from Wintera", Vedon ordered hastily,
"Yes, I will stand on my feet now", Harus said and got up from the ground. "I have found out that Zari, a member of the council in Wintera had secretly left to human realm to find someone which she did but all I know is that this person is somehow related to Ranus and there's gonna be urgent training for those who want to search for the lost sword of Zoa while in Ataxia, I was able to steal the soul stone from the Agekians which makes them more powerful and unbeatable. So, they're currently in disarray and are searching the whole island for the intruder who stole the stone", Harus added and took a green stone from his handbag with great care and handed it over to Vedon who received it warmly.
Hear my order my subjects", Vedon said as he stood up from his throne.
" Yes, my liege", the warlords and Harus except Vedon replied
"Now that the Agekians are no longer powerful and no longer a threat in the realm, from here henceforth, we march into Ataxia and destroy the Agekians together with all the other sects in realm for the war has begun", Vedon said aloud which shook the foundation of the castle making numerous night crawlers flying around in the dark sky to far away distant mountains.
