Before him was what could only be explained as the inside of an interstellar warship, no, rather it was a technologically advanced abode that could be likened to a fortress. It was unlike anything he had ever seen before.
Unfortunately he knew nothing of their world, nor its counterparts, so he even couldn't liken it to anything he had seen nor heard before. If a scientist from Earth saw this scene though, they would stand and marvel at the beauty of it all. It was far beyond anything that was technologically possible for them.
From the way the crystalline walls seemed to pulse with life, breathing, to the way everything fit together into on coherent masterpiece. One couldn't help but marvel.
But Crow not understanding it all, was simply amazed at its beauty, running around.
In the midst of his escapades Crow had no idea how many buttons, nor how many alarms he could have set off, nor how many levers he had pulled. Surely nothing could happen to him right?
Everything looked like they were turned off and have been for years, any of the things in here seemed to blend in with nature, having been covered up by moss.
Unfortunately it seemed today was just not his lucky day.
A purple ray scanned his body, starting from the wrinkles on his clothes, all the way down to the individual strands of hair that laid on his head. Immediately two unassuming metallic rods appeared, rotating around him.
Crow looked at them with slight caution, after all he had no idea what they did. They had strange carving all over their body as they floated around him. At first they seemed to do nothing, but very soon Crow realized a single something.
He couldn't move.
No matter what how much he tried to, no matter how much he struggled, he didn't seem to be able to move. 'Seems I have really gotten myself into trouble this time.'
When Crow realized it was futile he gave up on the notion. His reasoning behind t was simple was simple, he couldn't move anyway, why waste his energy that could be spent elsewhere.
He shifted his eyes around the ship, truly observing it for the first time since he entered. There were giant monitors that seemed to cover this side of the ship, But they looked like they hadn't been used it years, moss even starting to grow on them.
Now that he looked at it, even the poles seemed to have moss all over them.
It truly was a marvel, no matter how many time he looked at it he couldn't help but marvel. Sure their world seemed to have small innovations like that of a bicycle or even a missile bomb, he had never seen something of this sort. Or at least that's what he could pull together from the history he had been told.
Suddenly the dead monitors seemed to shot to life showing variations between grays, as it released that memorable static noise that could wash one away. He was alerted, but beyond the static there was not much else, he didn't see nor did he hear anything else.
Finally after a moment of silence, a female resounded through the space, speaking. No, it didn't feel like something that was spoken, rather it felt like what she said was projected directly unto his mind.
Crow was alarmed`, especially when he heard what she had to say.
"Hmm, Crow Walker… The Walker family? How could there be traces of them here? Strange."
Crow became a bit vigilant when he heard her mention the Walker family. His eyes regaining their silver light once more. The hoody which he had up, only serving to make his look a lot more menacing. The static screens, glowing in resonance.
"A mutation? I guess that would be possible." Soon the voice faded, only to be followed by silent but sure footsteps.
He couldn't see anyone ahead so he could only assume she was behind him. He didn't know why but he had felt the restrictions on him loosening, he had a chance.
When he felt that she had gotten close enough, he made his move. Dashing out, avoiding the metal poles, whether it was coincidence or by design, that didn't matter.
He headed straight for whatever monster of a woman it was that was behind him, he would act first then think of the consequences later.
But before he could even succeed in his act he felt something pulling him up by his hoodie. He tried to scramble around, kicking and swinging his arms around. Alas there was nothing for him to grab unto, and nobody close enough to receive his blows.
"Interesting."
Crow looked towards the young woman before him, she didn't seem to be too tall, averaging out at around his height which was 5'7 at best. He looked towards her with what could only be explained as murderous intent. The silver light around his eyes darkening, but he kept mum not a single word leaking out.
No pleading nor any desire to start a conversation. He kept mum.
"Quite the dangerous one aren't ya? Of course I don't expect you to answer me.
"According to your memories, it seems you are Theodore's kid right?" The young woman was quite talkative.
Not only was she talkative but she was quite beautiful as well. Her black hair seemed to accent Crow's raven hair. Her yellow eyes seemed to hold a trace of playfulness but those who were more observant would see through this façade.
This woman was dangerous. Maybe at any other time Crow would be fooled by her smile, thinking her to be harmless, but someone who could hold him up with nothing more than a wave of a hand was definitely dangerous. How she achieved it was irrelevant.
"Seems you will not be replying. I am Mistress Divine. Nice to meet you too."
Little did Crow know, that this woman would be cause, for great sorrow in his future?
[Author's Note: Think of this as a retelling. I'm just tryna connect the puzzle, for now, have fun collecting the pieces. The chapter is a little shorter this time but mind that not King Athur! Excalibur! Rise!]
