Third POV:
The Kingdom of Deveraux, The Kingdom of the top-class creatures, the vampires. The diversity between creatures where everyone was given certain places for them to just mind their own race and businesses. Each group has its Leaders, yet a particular Kingdom was in chaos right now and is out for a hunt, not for a traitor nor another race's violation, but it's for them to find their king, Ruke Deveraux.
Everyone was looking for him. But in the absence of the Leader, a family should take charge.
His voice echoed all over the room, rage is evident.
"Foolish! How come you are able to be found in the area but my nephew's gone?!" Lazarus, Ruke's Uncle lashes out at Seattle who stands before him.
As soon as Seattle regains his consciousness and strength he rushed and head out to ask for information he missed when he was unconscious.
"If only he accepted my escorts to guard him" remorse reflects in his voice he looked up trying to hold his tears then for a second his eyes shifted to the person standing right before him.
"YOU!" he pointed at Seattle.
"You are supposed to protect the King, yet why are you the one who's right here! What a failure as King's right hand" Lazarus splattered to Seattle mocking his incompetence as the right hand of the King.
Seattle remains silent with his head bowed down. He did not dare to speak a single word nor reason out. 'Cause he knew that Lazarus' right. Even he, himself blames himself for not being able to protect Ruke.
"Be thankful that Luther was able to come back here in the palace in time even with severe wounds he was able to ask for backups"
From what Seattle heard Luther went back with a stake puncture near his heart, luckily the stake did not go through his heart, or else he could have died.
Right now, Luther was also out looking for Ruke, after he recovered which took him not less than a day for his wound to heal, it is so much faster than Seattle's.
Also, Seattle is certain that the Ruke was poisoned. 'Cause before he loses his consciousness he remembered Ruke was bleeding out like hell. Which he experienced also as he was hit by the arrow.
"Now, Search for Ruke. Even if you have to go through wolves and witches' territory, then do it. Even if it cost your life to bring back Ruke alive"
Seattle knew to himself that even if Lazarus did not order it, he is willing to go to any lengths just to find Ruke.
As Lazarus' said even if it costs him his life, he'll do it. "Now, Go! repent from your shortcomings as the Right Hand of the King and find Ruke"
Seattle lifts his head and bows down again to pay respect before he leaves. He walked out of the room with a heavy heart and a chaotic mind. He doesn't know where to start to seek clues. He needs to find Ruke as soon as possible because there are lots of creatures who want Ruke's head for them to be on top.
It's been days, it took Seattle two whole days for his body to fully heal which is strange because vampires regenerate as quickly as blinking, which gives him more anxiety knowing that their opponent holds something that could end their lives.
As going out of the door he was pulled out of his thought when he saw Luther who's about to go inside the room after him.
"Seattle.." Luther muttered.
"Luth, any news?" he casually asks having the hope that there would be any lead that could help them find Ruke.
Luther lowers his eyes and slowly shook his head. "It's like no one was there. We tried to follow the scent of his blood but we were led into the deeper part of the forest then the scent would disappear out of nowhere, we tried numerous witches, yet each of them fails to locate him. Like he and the people who took him disappeared into the thin air."
Seattle's blame for himself grew bigger. If he was just capable enough, Ruke would still be here. He was afraid to lose a brother and a leader.
Luther saw the grim look on Seattle's face. That moment he knew Seattle is blaming himself.
"Bud, stop blaming yourself. Trust me, Does the Ruke you know can be easily defeated? No, right? That Fucker won't give up without a fight so let's pull ourselves up. The fucker is a princess right now who needs saving." Luther jokily said yet the regret inside of him is much greater than Seattle's.
Seattle gave Luther a little nod, acknowledging what Luther said.
Seattle felt a little bit assured that Ruke is going to be safe.
"Got to go, Bud. I still have to report to Lazarus."
And Luther took a step and went inside the room and he did not waste time he arranged the groups to find Ruke.
He started to try to find Ruke to where he was found unconscious.
Seattle went into the woods with some vampires and witches that they use a locator but even how many times the witches try to locate him they failed miserably.
Seattle heard that the witches they with are not able to locate Ruke which made him more worried. Cause it's so strange for Ruke to not leave a trace.
His mind is so full of questions of hows and whys. Such crises haven't occurred for the past century.
Things are so hard and too difficult right now that even those who attack them were useless cause according to the report of the guard that rescued him, the bodies were scattered all over the place and no one was left breathing.
In Addition, the bodies had the same pattern that causes their deaths, their necks were broken. Who on earth can take that many enemies on their own? so Seattle thought that the ones who took Ruke were a group of people.
Near sunset, Seattle is losing his hope to find Ruke for today. Ruke has been gone for 2 days and now is the third day and still no trace of him, not even a single clue.
No one knows who took him, no one knows a way to find him.
For the nth time, Seattle orders the witches to try once again, to perform a locating spell.
Surprisingly, IT appeared! Ruke's Location appeared. His heart was a little relieved yet he is hoping that Ruke is in good condition, But there is one thing that bothered him.
HOW THE HELL DID HE GET THERE?!
