Chapter 9 - Ruckus

Every territory was in an uproar due to what happened in the land of Deveraux. Since It is the upper kingdom other territories were being searched especially every wolf pack they'd encounter.

Ruke order was "Kill those who'll give any suspicion, doesn't matter if they're Human, Witches and especially those mutts." King's word spread so even down the common black market between the territories are being terrorized by the vampire on patrol.

Searching and investigation between lands are permitted when one species cross their board and causes unnecessary action.

That is why no one can complain and stop vampires ramming around the area due to that law.

Harrison was a task to go down the black market and Saoirse came along with him.

Her parents permitted her to do so because Harrison is with her.

So even if her annoyance for Harold is over the head she has to go to see what's happening. Since their house is in an unknown place in the forest no one has ever lost their way.

Saoirse heard her parents converse last night about the vampire searching every territory due to what happened in the plan of Deveraux.

As soon as they set foot in the black market vampire were at the entrance and she can smell vampires scattered around the area.

"State your land," uttered by one of the vampires standing at the entrance

"Witch." she and Harrison stated and just nod for permission to let them pass.

Witches and humans have the same smell to guarantee that, they must be cautious.

Scanning around they are wolves can be count with your fingers may be due to what happened that day that wolves are involved.

As Saoirse observes every store they passed by is so stoic every movement is carefully made. Merchants look so alert to every customer they have.

Saoirse sees right then what fear does vampires can give and what they can do in every single territory. Now she understands why her parents advised her not to go near them. And she was curious how strong does this blood flows within her.

Harrison and Her just get what they need and immediately went out of that place. It was an unsafe place to be especially for her kind.

"It's a miracle you are good to me today, no annoying eyes and hissing sound I see," He said while they walked through the forest and right then Saoirse glared at him and made the hissing sound.

I don't know what's with this person but luckily he doesn't mind my straightforward attitude. Maybe because he is my father's apprentice.

Saoirse wonders, then Harrison gawked at her annoyed.

"Ugh. There it goes again. Can't we be more civil to each other Saoirse.

After all, I am the one who's looking after you when Master's not around" he's scratching his eyebrow while saying that.

"How about you mind your own business and stop being nosey with mine " Saoirse uttered then increase her pace and left him behind. She noticed she does the same and just rolled her eyes.

"I'm not nosey for your information. Come on, I ain't gonna snitch on you with the medicine you've been sneaking for three days last week so friends?" he blurted out and she throw him a glare.

"Look who's not nosey." She rolled her eyes and jog towards their house when it came to her sight.

"I JUST WANNA MAKE FRIENDS TSK" he shouted sounded so frustrated.

Harrison will always be the annoying one in each and every inch of his personality.

Saoirse opened the door and saw her mother sitting in the living room sipping tea while holding a book. Looks like they are making another potion again. Father is out getting some stuff according to my mother.

"How's the trip downtown?" She asked and looked at her.

"Typical, but there are less crowded and typical annoying Harrison" She answered.

"Saoirse I told you to be nice with Harisson he's such a good kid"

She just scoffed and walk upstairs and the door opened and Harisson came in. He lifts all the things they bought.

Saoirse isn't actually that annoyed with Harisson not until Harrison kept bugging her to show more emotion and remorse with her words. Harrison always calls her savage because of her straightforward personality that she says what her opinion really is no sugar coating it. he's just too soft.

As soon as she got in her room she immediately took a bath and lay in her bed for minutes and stared at the ceiling.

Everything that happens last week just flashed in front of her eyes like a speed of light how she interferes with other people's business to that day he woke up.

That last scene hunts her dreams, those eyes staring so angrily at her. And what's even weird is that in her dreams she's trying to explain with a hope that anger in his eyes will vanish.

And as soon as she opens her mouth she suddenly woke up. After that week she immediately returns to her normal day like the other week was not chaotic enough to shake her life.

And a voice brought her to her senses

"I'M HOME!" said a voice from below and that surely her Father. She looked outside and the sun has slept.

She realized how deep her in her thoughts that she didn't realize it was evening.

She went down and greeted her father. She arranged the things that he brought along with the meat.

Saoirse still has to cook for dinner so he and her mother just talked in the living room, looks like her father says how his errand turned out.

As soon as she finished cooking they had dinner and surprisingly Harrison is still there other than him eating with them nothing really extraordinary happened on her day.

It remained as peaceful as it should be. Saoirse thought and her Father talked about things he discovered in his errand and she knew what he says is not all of it. But perhaps it's not her business so she just shrugged in her head and go along with the conversation plus talking to Harrison talking to him means ravaging him whole.

Sounds of her father's laugh and Harrisons complaints dominated the whole dinner. And she thought of one person who seems to never leave her mind.
