Chapter 7 - Unnamed

Ruke's POV

Thirst. Dizziness. My body seems lifeless. I averted my gaze to the person I'd just missed and explore the place where I've been for, I assumed days?

The last thing I remember was the succumb of pain and darkness. And this strange person who's been pestering my mind lately.

A person who seems to visit in my slumber. I shake off the thought.

Then my eyes widened as I wander my gaze to the piece of clothing. It was a cloak, the color of blood. Surely, it made my body boiled. Reminder to burn and eliminate those pests who dares to lay a finger on me.

I clench my hands as I gripped the cloak. Blood. Soon will flow from above. And that's for sure.

Especially the owner of this interesting piece of a cloak.

Unnamed one may be hard to find but driven by this flame inside me, I think it'll be fast like a wind of rush equal form of my speed, yet I can't seem to do at this moment, knowing I'm still in pain.

"Damn..." I felt the thirst arise even more as my mind roamed with a lot of shit things that have happened. As a result, it gradually drains the left energy I have for this moment.

Even so, I can't idle, that kind of thing doesn't apply to me.

Seattle and Luther...

I needed to get out of here as soon as possible. I can't stay any longer. Knowing the longer I stay the more the chance of lurking pests to roam around my Kingdom.

I know for sure this has something to do with my power where soon I to be reign as their king of Deveraux. But what petty and brave thing to do to pick up on me.

No one can easily kill a Deveraux. Especially not this evil one. Not me. Not my kind.

"A mere witch..." I whispered as my golden eyes flicker as I gaze around the place before I depart.

Blooded clothes, some boiling liquid, and lots of bottles, and as I sniff, I found out that it's a rare herb. That seems familiar yet I can't pick a name on it.

Realization suddenly hits me. This unnamed person who ran away who I noticed to be a woman was the one who saved me?

I frown and smash the near bottle. Not with the cloak hanging around here. I felt my headache even more. I stepped outside and when I touch the ground.

I was welcomed by the forest. And the sun soon dies as the shades of skies seem to witness what bloody hell I have been encountering.

I clench my jaw and started my path on the west side where my territory took upon. I can't stay here any longer mainly because witches are one of the silent yet dangerous one.

They can lure you through their trap if you are weak enough to let them lure through your head. I've witnessed a lot of cases when one of our weaklings of low kinds fell upon their spell.

No one can be trusted in this world. Only yourself.

I grunt in pain when I felt the strike of electricity in my chest. I groaned end up on my knees as I open my mouth to breathe.

I've been through hell and war. This is nothing--

Fuck! I madly stand in rage and used the speed I can. It's slowly getting dark with every tree I touch for support.

And it ended my quest of using speed to escape this hell when my body itself gave up.

Damn. My eyebrows furrowed as I looked around. Pain struck again but before I make another step.

I heard a rustling sound. My face turns stern and cold. And my senses became loud and clear as I prepared myself to eliminate whoever dare to lay a finger--

"Ruke..?" a deep familiar voice catches my attention as I flick my gaze on that part.

"Seattle." I sighed in relief. As soon as he confirmed that it was me. He sped up to closed our distance and a relief shade upon his face as he came around my side to give me support.

"You're fucking alive!" Seattle exclaimed. And I chuckled. His eyes roamed through my body. His ocean eyes widened when he noticed my abdomen.

"Of course, fucker I'm alive who do you think you're talking to?" I smirked

"Oh, I wouldn't be the King if I'm sort of weakling which is not on my forte," I added and he smirked and slowly nodded and shrugged.

"It's quite healed yet," he asked while he examines my wounded abdomen

"It's nothing really, we need to get out here first," I muttered.

"Right. Our troops were scattered around the forest." Seattle explained then told me about the search that happened by my Uncle's order.

"Good, get them here and we're retreating. I have had missed so much of what's happening fille me the details on the way, let's go" I commanded him as he supported me while walking.

The troop came and Seattle filled me with things that he knew. and it came to my knowledge that my Uncle is the one in charge right now.

That it has been two days since my disappearance. There are lots of loopholes with these events that I still have to find out. Things are so chaotic right now. Even that missy that saved me I have to find her. questions are at lay but answers are yet to be found.

I found myself clenching the cloak I still have while we took on our journey.

I have to find her, but I have a duty in my kingdom for now what matters the most is I am back.

If I am not wrong some elders are itching to throw me out of the throne just because of what happened plus Seattle told me the chaos in each territory. They are uproar by what happens, wolves are at the hide, witches preparing to take sides and humans are at the preparation of annihilating any creature who would come for them.

And in Deveraux seems like the mouse is playing while the cat is out.
