He sighed once again upon the thought of the girl he has a crush on not liking him. He just sighed, "Connor… Why not you join us and have a conversation with me and these gentlemen?"
Connor smiled, "Sure!"
A few hours went by, the men on the table conversed with each other, exchanging stories, laughing and playing some games. But nothing lasted forever. Eventually, the four knights fell asleep on their table, having drunk some alcohol.
As for the two students, Frigs and Connor, they both were sober, all of a sudden, Connor said to Frigs, "Oh yes sir, I just want to remind you that the date I scheduled with Bell is in about two hours, you should really get ready!"
Frigs nodded with a smile on his face, "Thank you, I will excuse myself from here. As for the four knights… I will have to thank you later! See you!"
Not even giving Connor the time to respond, he made the run for his room and immediately entered the shower. While in the middle of taking off his clothes, he asked himself, "What if… the girl doesn't like me?"
He smiled and slowly turned on the shower, "That can't happen. Look at my handsome face, my family has a strong background too! Nothing can go wrong!"
As he scrubbed the square soap on his skin and as the bubbles formed, he was saddened, "But… he thought of me as a problem when he sent Connor,"
"DUDE, CAN YOU JUST SHOWER QUIETLY?" Louis suddenly shouted from the other side of the room.
Frigs shouted back, "Alright! Alright! I'm sorry"
A few moments later, Frigs got out of the bathroom, fully clothed in simple clothing. He sat on the edge of his bed, overlooking Frigs's bed while his assistant is reading a book with a red cover, "Hey Louis, how do you think I will fare in winning this girl's heart?"
Louis chuckled, "Don't make me laugh. It won't be easy even if you have a strong background and handsome face"
Frigs chuckled too, "How do you know though?"
Louis closed his book and sat on the edge of his bed, directly in front of Frigs, "Hey, do you think I did nothing while you were in the pub? I snuck out of the hotel and noticed the village is peaceful,"
Frigs raised one of his eyebrows, confused, "What's anything got to do with that thou?"
Louis giggled, "The girl dresses simply, behave like a villager and care about the people. Based on that, I have concluded that she has a strong sense of justice. What would you think as a villager, looking at the mighty palaces and mansions of those rich nobles?"
Frigs took a few seconds, but he answered at last, "Unfairness?"
Louis tilted his head and raised one of his brows, "Kind of. But if I were a villager, I would think of corruption and black deals. The fact doesn't actually differ a lot with that because I saw the record of the transaction between nobles before,"
It clicked on his head, "Ooooh… make sense! Go on,"
After conversing with his assistant about a few things, that included her feelings, tips and tricks (that would probably work only on goblins). Frigs felt confident as he left his hotel and was guided by Connor to one of the cute looking hobbit houses.
As he was entering the house, he was greeted by the sight of two empty chairs, a table with utensils, candles and a glass bottle of wine on it. He looked behind and stared right at Connor, "Hey dude, do you prepare all of this?"
Connor nodded, "Yes I did, I saw my parents did this once. Anyway, I will be your butler for today. You see that hallway back there? The food will be coming from that direction,"
The man pointed in the direction beyond the table and chair, Frigs understood soon enough and began making his way toward the chair on his right and sat on it. Connor passed him and now he was all alone in the room with minimum lightning.
His heart beat faster than normal, his whole body sweating, obviously nervous, 'Damn… I… I should have not stayed in my room every day and not meet a girl. This will be my first…'
Right after he said that in his mind, he heard the small creaking sound of the door on his left and almost passed out. The cute girl, Bell, dressed simply and normally entered the room and sat on the chair opposite of Frigs.
The girl behaved normally, in fact, she was actually avoiding eye contacts, 'I saw it once on the internet that if a girl avoids eye contact, that means she doesn't like you… bad sign,'
He gulped his saliva and gathered his courage, "How's your day?"
The girl responded with the most expressionless face he ever saw in his life, 'I don't like this situation. Please, Connor, help me!'
Thud
Thud
Thud
Footsteps could be heard from the hallway beyond the table and chairs, soon, Connor came into sight, holding two plates in his hands. He placed the two plates right in front of Bell and Frigs, revealing potato soup with some meat on it.
Frigs stared at Connor with the eyes of, 'Dude, this is everything you have?'
Connor stared back at him with the expression of, 'Yea, the lamb is like, steak! I paid a lot of coins for a hobbit to sell it to me!'
All of a sudden, the girl's voice reached Frigs's ear, "Wow! My favourite! Thank you, Connor!"
Frigs smiled upon hearing it, "Thank you too, Connor, this is actually my favourite too!"
Connor sighed, with the expression of, 'Dude, don't lie, I know you did it to just impress the girl. I'll allow it for this time,'
But what the two of them heard next from the girl surprised them, "Hey you… Edward, DROP THE ACT AND BE HONEST WITH ME! DO YOU THINK I WON'T KNOW WHAT YOU DID TO MY ASSISTANT?"
