Pilo is trapped surrounded on all sides, he falls to his knees, the scent of utter terror oozing out of him like pus from a deep open wound. Which is what he is coming to realize is his emotional state. As he replays the course of the day in his head, he feels he betrayed the horde. This is a new confusing feeling for him. He has never betrayed anyone before yet the wound opinion heart being cut again and again as he looks at the gazes of goblin present. Especially Impi, it still feels odd to him to call him that, his eyes are mostly filled with rage but his scent is also filled with anguish. Pilo is after all Impi's older brother or at least that what it should have been if not for Kluk. That goblin had severed their ties when making them Black-bloods. The blood ritual performed under a blood moon is binding after all. More so than with just the magic used to perform the ritual.
Tau is angry for sure, it's easy to make out. What isn't easy is the situation before him. While at first he thought, 'Fuck that turd just kill him.' It is not that cut and dry, thou he wishes it was just like properly cut and dry biltong. Tau is trying to think like a real leader would this single act can determine how the horde treats its own. The common goblin goblin would never even think to consider this, they would take his life and move on.
Stalling for time to think about where wants to stand going forward, Tau says, "We will handle this matter right. As leader I think it is appropriate for the Moundmaster to be a judge..." The reason he believes this is because of something she said about one day giving a every gobo a fair shake. Tau believes it's a sort of inner hope of hers and this might help produce less convenient answer than, off with his head..."Oda and I will be his defenders..." Some of them gasp as the idea is ludicrous to them. Impi smiles believing that like all the other leaders Tau is doing this to appear right while still getting his way after all it's how powerful goblins sometimes act..."I am naming Jade as his accuser and Impi will provide her with support." The goblins are murmuring to one another scents of confusion and admiration. Goblins do love a spectacle after all.
Tau dismisses the gobo's to setup a small area, when Gcina comes to him. She is scenting a blast of things each changing other whatever thought is going through her mind. She holds his hand, "I don't think is the time for this," she speaks softly and almost make it sound like a question.
"I know but Pilo, is perfect for it. One of our own has wronged us, it chance to set the tone going forward. Not just the tone but the kind of goblins we are going to become." Says Tau while Gcina arranges herself into his right side as Diana joins in on Gcina's side locking arm in arm. She is mainly listening. Gcina signals for Palesa who is overseeing the gobo's from a few meters away from leaders. Palesa immediately joins locking in arms on his left they all scent unity. Unity is not exactly a scent however a combination of their natural scents that occurs when they all feel each other.
Pilo who is being hugged by his Kobold moves about the band. He can see that there are many eyes on him. The Horde leader's scent is muddling his thoughts, the anger is there even his Kobold knows that but the sincerity that came with every word tells him there is more going on. He can see a slither of a chance to survive, besides running. The only problem is that the Hyena's patrol the band since arriving they move in groups of five and are constantly about.
Zetu pulls Impi, "Stupid idiot she could have killed you with those vines. You always don't react well whenever he is involved." Impi who had only been held a moment by Diana when he tried to attack Pilo. Her vines are laced or are very poisonsous as Impi is still not fully in his right a intense fog preventing him from acting out.
"Just to be sure like. Right I like your thinking but I'm going to kill him." Says Diana scenting of something. An undefined undercurrent in her scent leaves most of the group confused about her motivation.
"I would love to agree with both of you but first we should be focusing on the today's task this is a distraction we are vulnerable right now." Says Palesa her scent towards Diana and Tau conflicting with her words. She is distracted and thus her scenting is all over the place and she is horny as a Bicorn. Tau has been picking up her growing scent since his fight with Kluk yesterday.
"I get you Palesa however when else can we really do it, I want our gobo's emotions to be tested they are heavily invested in this when it comes out it could have a huge effect." Says Tau he is not ignoring Diana she requires a more delicate hand. Her scent is very light while it's a strong word her scent barely matches. He knows she is not lying but the scent is similar he too is still trying to determine what her scent is exactly.
"Right now we are like grubs rolling around in a mid that at any moment a boar could want. As the Warmaster our defense is my priority and I'm telling that defending our lives is more important than defending our principles." Palesa scents and says what she means how she scents direct short and entirely without any heat a cold rid of truth.
Tau wants to rub his chin but he doesn't want to break the bond. So he scents cucumber, a scent the others don't understand. The scent mixes with a more familiar smell something like a cool paste. Gcina is reminded of a fresh Gaucamole this happens with scents sometimes there some that are scent as one thing but are interpreted as another thing depending on the gobo. "I know you think I want to do this know, this rotten nail in the hordes needs to be cleaned or be removed like how we all feel it should. If we leave it could spread to other nails or at the worst leave us open to infection. This might seem like a small problem now but it's in our foot and we need our feet if we hope to stand in future." Says Tau his scent is focusing on Diana they are sensing apeach out. Palesa and Gcina can only catch whiffs of it anyways it should help them both to better understand one another.
"I got it my lovelies. We can push back the to when the rest of the horde arrives that way. We can have all the gobo's participate and thus realize a maximized approached. Then we will do whatever in the three moons you doing here with her." They all scent agreement Gcina had made a wonderful suggestion that Tau could get behind. Palesa is also happy, Diana is also in agreement.
Gcina picks it up first from Diana not a protest a scent of concern. Gcina says "please my dear don't hold back we have to hear each other out."
Diana who is dealing with scents from Tau about her mood, clears her throat. "Who is going to watch him while we do all of this?" Her question is answered by Tau scent they all look at him.
"He is with us, the star group will follow Oda and Jade..."Tau scents an emptiness not like loss but rather as something overlooked. Tau himself looks over at Oda, who should be in this huddle as a leader but it didn't occur to him until just now when he needed something from Oda. "...anyways Pilo will be with us and if the Horde is coming then that makes things simpler.
Gcina picked up able to clearly scent smell the image of what he was thinking, she waves over Oda and Jade, Tau's scent had not made a distinction between them. The pair moves quickly even in the tunnels of the dungeon. This makes them sit. Tau sits first Gcina directly Diana to his right and Palesa on his left. The seating arrangement leaves Oda sitting directly in front of Tau. When Jade tries to sit next to Oda Tau scent sends her behind him. Tau wants him to know that Oda has support of his own but more importantly Jade is only here because of Oda she doesn't actually have a seat in this conference.
Gcina talks, scenting to all them welcome. "We have been discussing what is going to happen with Pilo for now he is in our party."
"You can't do that Pilo is lower than..." She is interrupted but a sharp click of Diana's chirib. Diana does not like Jade because she treats gobo's in Diana's experience like disposable one ply tiolet tissue and she will not have it not in their mob.
Jade stops the hobgoblin scenting dismissal. Diana says in a very commanding voice, "We have decided you are here to follow so like please control yourself." The scent that Diana gives cuts the scent of dismissal and replaces it with a jovial vail. The goblin equivalent of a fake smile.
"Yes exactly like she said, Oda will lead the Star group. Jade you will support him and we will move to the next floor. We as the leaders and Pilo will be finding what's at the treasure map. Oda you will also have to help the Dawn Group replenish their kobold's. You can wait until we get to the next floor and see what monster are there or you can just start now. As commander I'm leaving all of that in your hands." Tau is testing Oda's leadership skill a simple test really to see what kind of leader he is. One that leads from the front or one that leads with consensus.
"What are guys going to be doing?" Asks Oda his scent a happy at being in a group with Jade.
The scent coming off Tau is wild and fresh, "We are going on a Treasure hunt."
