Peter has been gone for a while now, but he left me wondering if Juliana was my soulmate. It was extremely rare for a demon to find their soulmate. It was even more so rare for them to be human. I laid in bed until I dozed off just thinking of the possibility of her being my soulmate.

I woke around early midday and just stared at the ceiling in my chamber. I couldn't help but to feel like what happen last night was all a dream. However, I knew better than to believe that. I got out of bed and got dressed to begin my chores. I looked in the mirror before heading down stairs and noticed my black eye was not too noticeable and my busted lip was almost none existent; so maybe I can go to the market and help my friend in her fathers tailoring shop. I mostly just wanted to see Susannah and talk to her about what happen last night, but some earnings today couldn't hurt anyone. I thought to myself as I began cleaning the kitchen and living area. When I finished I went to clean my father's and Silas' rooms.
I have been neglecting the small garden of vegetables and fruit we have the past could of days and it looks to need some love. I next proceeded to go to the garden and pull weeds, remove the dead plants, then plant some seeds, pick the ripen vegetables and fruit, and finally fertilize and water them. I went to the apple tree a little ways away and decided to pick some apples to make a pie for later today. I washed all the fruits and vegetables and placed them in two different baskets one I would bring to sell at the market and the other to leave for us here at home.
I would guess I finished my chores in the early afternoon. I quickly went upstairs to change my dress and clean up. The market was just inside of the palace walls and my father's blacksmith shop was there too. I could pay them a visit and drop them off a snack. The short cut to the palace was near my meadow and there was a small bridge to cross the river. My father made the bridge a little ways down from the meadow hidden in the trees.
I began walking towards the meadow which was maybe a twenty minute walk from the cottage and then maybe another thirty minutes to the palace. Father and Silas take the horses every morning to work so this left me to walk.
I am walking up to the palace and the gates are open I stop to see my father and Silas.
"Hey Jules! What did you bring?" Silas hoping over with a dirty face with a smile.
"I brought some fruit and vegetables. There were too many for us from the garden so I came to sell them but I wanted to see if you and father wanted a snack first." I said with a smile.
"Are there any apples?" I heard from behind me.
I turned to see my father placing a sword in a sheath. "Yes father, there are many." He came over and took two.
"Can you give these to the horses." He said and eyed my basket. "Oh and leave some grapes and strawberries before you go."
I nod my head taking the apples, "Yes sir. Silas would you like anything?" Silas grabbed an apple and a tomato. I placed the strawberries and grapes in a clothe and set them on the table. I fed the horses their snacks and gave them each a carrot too. I said goodbye and headed to the tailoring shop.

I woke up mid afternoon to my demon becoming antsy. I groaned and rolled out of bed and went to wash my face. I need to go talk to my father for some advice. I quickly get dressed and head to my father's study.
"Your majesty." I say while slightly bowing to my father.
"Leo, you my boy are my son. You don't need to great me so formally." He said not looking up from what looks to be a treaty. He briefly looks up at me and asks, "Do we have a meeting today?" I have been attending all the council meetings to help me prepare for taking the thrown.
"No father. I came to ask you for some advice." I said looking at my hands. He stops what he is doing and looks at me.
"How can I help?" He asked looking me up and down. I think he can sense something is wrong now.
"Well you see. I think I found my soulmate." I blurted out and I saw my father's eye widen.
"Well that is great son! But I don't understand what the problem is?" He said clearly a bit confused.
"Well you see," I say hesitantly. "I think she is human." My fathers face falls a little bit, but then he recovers.
"Well son it would be the same if you married a lady from another kingdom. So I still don't see the problem." He says walking over to me.
"She is a citizen of our kingdom." I say but quickly continue. "But her family isn't poor. I just don't know if her family status would matter to you or not. I just don't wa-" my father cuts me off from my rambling.
"Son listen. You have found something not many demons get to experience. I myself haven't found my soulmate. I will always be proud of you because you are my blood. I say take the opportunity, and from what I know about the mate bond is once you find each other the need to be with each other will only grow." He said grabbing one of my shoulders. I nod my head and give him a brief hug. I then leave to find Juliana. "Will I get to meet her soon?" My father yells back to me as I'm leaving. I shake my head and my demon growls inside my head.
