Juliana
"You aren't suppose to call him by his name. He is the prince. It is 'My Lord' and nothing else." I could hear the anger.
Before I knew it the words were out of my mouth, "But father Leo told me I could call him by his name." I instantly regretted my words when I saw my fathers hand raised and he slapped my face. I felt the stinging across my cheek. I knew better than to talk back to him but I didn't do anything wrong this time. I was waiting for the second slap but it never came.
"She is MINE!" I heard a roar and my eyes shot up. It was him but there was something wrong. His hands had claws and his voice sounded deeper and scarier. I felt someone grab my arm. It was Silas, he checked on my face. I had totally forgotten I had just been slapped. The only thing I was worried about was our father.
"Leo, please don't hurt him." I say meekly. He turned his head towards me. His eye were red with rage.
"But he slapped you. He should never hit a lady." That's when I noticed he had fangs and his eyes were red. I walked up to him and placed my hand on his forearm. I should be afraid, but I'm not... why?
"But he is my father. Please don't hurt him." From the look of the grasp he had the claws were digging into my fathers skin and blood was dripping down. My father looked to be in severe pain. I looked at Leo in the eyes pleading and he finally let go. I watched his eyes change back to golden ones and his fangs slowly disappeared.
"Get away from that monster!" My father cried trying to drag me away. I heard a deep growl come from Leo's chest. It sounded like an animal.
That's when father grabbed my arm and Leo brushed it off then he embraced me into a hug. "MINE!" He said looking my father and I assumed Silas in the eyes.
"Leonardo, you're going to scare the poor girl. Let her go!" I heard an unfamiliar voice. He let go enough for us to turn and see behind him a tall red headed man, with hazel eyes. He was tall if not a little taller than Leo. I could only assume they were close because of how casually he spoke to him.
"This is none of your business Peter." He said. The other man, Peter, walked closer.
"Ahh, this is why you ditched me at the party..."he began circling us as if he saw a delicious meal. I unknowingly inched closer to Leo. "She is pretty." He said and I felt Leo's arms tighten around me. "Relax, she is your soulmate. I'm not interested in her. But you need to let her go. She needs to go home with her family." When he said that I had completely forgot Silas and father were still here. I looked up at Leo. I didn't want him to let me go. I felt oddly safe in his arms.
"Do you wish to go home with your brother and father?" He said so low I'm pretty sure only I could hear him. I hesitated unsure of what to do.
"Why don't you come join us for dinner?" My father said to Leo.
"Oh that's a great idea. Let's go have dinner with humans!" Peter said with sheer excitement in his voice. I saw Silas turn pale.
I managed to loosen Leo's grip to look at everyone, "That sounds like a wonderful idea." I said with doubt. Knowing my father, he probably has some hidden idea lurking. I whisper so Leo could only hear me, "Do you remember how to get to my home?" He nodded his head. "Do you trust me?" He nodded again. "I'll ride with Silas." I say loudly for my father to hear me as I'm walking out of his arms. He helps me mount the horse Silas is on and just glares at him. "It will be okay. This is my brother he won't hurt me. We will see you both soon." With that we leave and head home.
Leonardo
I just wanted to teleport to her house and stand there waiting for them to arrive, but I knew better. I didn't want to scare her away even though she already should have been. So I teleported to the stalls instead.
"Leave it to Leonardo to fall in love with a human." I hear Peter say as I'm putting a saddle on my horse.
"I didn't fall in love with her. She is my soulmate!" I roared glaring at him.
"Oh is that what she is! What's the difference? If you don't love her now you will eventually!" He said and I relaxed a bit. He is right but the only thing I'm concerned with is if she will accept me for what I am. A Demon. "Hey, does this mean we can stop going to all those other kingdoms looking for a bride for you!?" He asked I could tell he was over the moon.
"If she will have me, then yes." I said this and my demon growled at the thought of not having her next to us. I mounted my horse and started riding and Peter was right on my heels.
"Why can't we just teleport." I heard him whine from behind me. "How did you even meet her?" I shot him a glare and we rode the rest of the way in silence.
