As the day dragged on, so did the hours. Pretty soon the sun started to set; bringing a soft cool breeze into the evening. As the day was drawing to a close; shopkeepers were closing up their family businesses and returning home while the city's night life was just getting started. The 5 star restaurants and night clubs were surrounded by wealthy business owners or famous celebrities while the local pubs were being hosts to tourists. And for Nathan's cousin, Annie; the setting was very mesmerizing.
It was very rare for Annie or Tom to have a nice evening out in London since the two of them were always busy helping out their parents with The Smouldering Hog. But since the recent hiring of all the new workers for the pub and also the band's preparations for the press tour along with the world tour; Annie has been spending a majority of her time with Nathan and his band mates assisting them when necessary. For Annie; assisting Paul, Landon and the others was more thrilling than staying at the pub training the new recruits. Annie loved observing how Nathan and the boys would make numerous decisions about what type of food they wanted to eat to what outfits they were going to wear but also Annie was very impressed of how adamant all four members of Fifth Avenue Square were in making each decision a compromise.
However; that all changed once Annie returned from her to New York. Since the discovery of Roxie's mysterious "new relationship"; Annie had kept a good distance form Nathan and his band mates. In fact, that morning was the first time in months in hanging out with Fifth Avenue Square. The reason why Annie kept such a great distance from Nathan and others is because she was afraid of Nathan finding out about what Annie saw while she was visiting Roxie in New York. However, both Annie's parents along with Cassie and the others have noticed how distant Annie was with all of the band's preparations. So Annie decided to only tell Scott, Lexie, Cassie, Garrett and her parents about what really happened in New York. In return, they promised Annie to not reveal the truth to either Nathan or the other boys until the start of the US press tour. The problem was that with the press tour fast approaching, keeping the truth about Annie's trip to New York was becoming even more difficult.
"Today was pretty exhilarating." Auntie Lizzie said.
"Sure; if you call seeing a few early 20 year old guys try on expensive clothing fun." Annie said sarcastically.
"Annie; sweetheart, are you feeling alright? You've seemed pretty lately." Auntie Lizzie observed.
"I feel alright, honestly Mum. There's no need to be overprotective," Annie stated. "But I guess you can say I feel a little nervous about the whole US press tour." she sighed.
"Annie; darling, you need to let go of your fear of Nathan finding out about Roxie's new relationship. Your cousin is eventually going to find out the truth sooner or later." Auntie Lizzie remarked.
"I know?! I just don't like the fact that the tour is starting in New York. Honestly; Scott could have chosen LA or Boston, but no; he had to have the press tour start in the one city where there is a slight chance Nathan might run into the one person he hasn't seen, let alone talk to; in 6 months!" Annie retorted.
"Look; I get that you care about Nathan and the boys and also Nathan's feelings about Roxie, but I think it's best that you put at least some trust in Nathan and the lads about how they'll react to Roxie's new relationship. Who knows; maybe this discovery might help Nathan move on from his feelings for Roxie." Auntie Lizzie reassured Annie.
"I highly doubt it, but I guess you're right. I just hope that this news doesn't ruin any potential of Roxie and Nathan getting back together." Annie sighed.
