Enju has noticed three things about this body. Number one, it's much older
Number two, much curvier than her previous board
Number three, it's definitely not me
Everything from her body to the way she dresses. It looks expensive... a black hooded cloak lined with a golden lining on the edges, a white uniform under her cloak and a nice skirt with shorts under her skirt and some white thigh highs.
Enju walks to a nearby lake to check out her face. It's damn beautiful, with silver eyes and a nice face structure. Enju claps her hand together and prays.
"To whoever body I stole... I'm sorr-" The egg cracks, she sees something poking at the top of the egg. Soon an small snout appeared, followed by a bulbous scaly head. It has small wings and a stubby tail.
Enju approaches the dragon only to be met by a fierce attack, her arm is getting nibbled on. Although, it's not painful, it appears his teeth hasn't formed yet. Enju gets the small thing off, it's been only been ten minutes and now she's in a fantasy world?
She's dumbfounded to say the least. I should probably try to ask around and find clues about who this body is. Enju starts walking back to camp, only to find the dragon joining her. She crouches and pets the dragon.
"Gly, I suppose that's a good name for you now let me guess... you think I'm your mother now don't you? That and I have to feed you..." Thinking about it, her campsite seemed fairly new so there has to be food but she couldn't find any place where they could store all the food.
Enju starts looking around the camp only to find a small pouch. She reaches inside only to find its bottomless, she can fit her whole arm through the pouch and still feel like there's more.
"Spatial bags, well it's either super common in fantasy or super rare. So how to use..." She continues grabbing around trying to take something, anything. Maybe I should think of something, Meat! Her hand immediately feels something with the texture of steak. She takes it out only to find a nice T-bone. She tosses it to Gly and he starts munching.
Although it seems he can't even begin to damage the meat. Enju squints at the dragon and at the spatial bag, she looks back at the egg. Did this woman decide it was cool to steal a dragon's egg? Enju fumes a bit, that piece o-
She sees a little boy watching her from the forest's edge. Calling him a little boy would be a little mean however, he appears as old as modern Enju. He's seen backing up slowly as Enju waves with a smile.
you brat, get over here I need your help, "Would you kindly come over here and help me? It's seems I'm a bit lost even with this map." This pouch is full of adventure stuff...
So... I've been isekai'd, I got shot... and died... "ughh please come over here kid I just need to know which cou- "
The kid runs off
...
"Tsk."
Enju looks at her staff, it has a black glassy look to it. The top is another small white crescent moon floating in the middle, with three golden separated parts circling around the moon. Enju carries the staff in hand, now super amazing magic blast! She tries activating a spell in her head, Nothing.
"Super amazing magic blast!" Again nothing, all she achieves are cringeworthy memories for later.
Enju finds a little indent in the shape of a circle on her staff. Maybe it's the same as Mr. Kori's circles. Enju tries focusing all her energy on the circle while laying her fingers on the circle. She feels warmth enter her finger tips and concentrating on the circle.
A reminiscent feeling enters her hands. As if she's held this in her hands before, her fingers move on its own and with just a lift chunks of the ground starts flying in the air.
"Ho?"
Enju continues playing with the staff till it's almost dark. It's not air as it can't create blades of air but it can lift objects. It's not earth because it can lift just about anything. Lastly it's a sort of force that can control the position of objects rather than lifting... the force... like in Star Wars, and in Star Wars it's space and space has moons and moons have gravity.
"Hah! I'm the smartest." Enju gives off a smug face to Gly. Gly just sort of looks at her like he already figured it out a while back.
The night ends and Enju is left looking at the stars. "Man how crazy is this, I've been sent to another world. Hah I thought I was gonna stay in a black void when I died..." Enju cuddles up to her legs. Will I ever see pops again, she finds Gly rubbing his head up next to her.
"Tomorrow Gly, we're gonna follow Mr. Kori's step and find a way back to my place. Then I can feed you food for helping me and we can live together. You, me, and my dad. We can live forever and always see our true smiles." Enju hugs Gly. "I hope this isn't the end."
Morning calls out for Enju to get up, and she finds that she's sleeping on an emerald colored scaly pillow. Enju sits up heart racing like the derby. Oh whew not a snake, just Gly. Who in fact grew by almost two meters. Enju calms herself and goes to brush her teeth only to find no hygiene products.
Ah...
Science rules... now please hand over a toothbrush and paste please god.
The clouds only starts to laugh at Enju making what appears to be a tooth brush from the cloud formation. Although it also looks like a stick to Enju, but soon it turns into crying. It's light pats on Enju's back to commemorate her valiant attempts.
Gly is soon awake and watching Enju as she twirls in the rain. Watched by no human, the light taps in the rain along with the muddy ground feels easy to the touch. It's unchanged even through worlds, an event that is destined to happen because of the cycle. Hits close to home as they say.
Soon Enju is off walking under the bright sun rays. The rays, soon clash with the forest leaves, but under the trees lingers a nice layer of moist air from the rainfall. Gly follows suit like a dog, just an oversized less fluffy one though.
There on the forest floor is a quiet bliss, just a nice crunch every so often. But the quiet ends abruptly with a rustling bush followed by a whistling object coming in her direction. On instinct she dashes, wow... a fit body really does help... maybe once I return I should try to work out a little more.
A thunk later and Enju's attention is on the spot she escaped from. A rabbit, hit dead in the head with an arrow.
"Nice shot!"
From the bush out comes the little kid from earlier. A rough brown top on his head, ragged clothing. Holding out a bow with bags under his eyes. He just stares at Enju. With his bony face and barely fit frame.
"So brat! You don't look so well, say why don't you help me and I reward you with some food?" Enju gives off a smile, maybe I'll show you a thing or two about respecting me when I ask you a question instead of running.
He takes two short steps before dropping on the ground with a flat thud.
"Just leaving more work for me aren't you?" Enju sits straight down and starts thinking.
Hours pass with the boy's first to be at Enju cooking up a whole pot. The smell is filled with strong addicting spices and a nice chicken mixed in. Without hesitation the boy runs to the pot with pleading eyes.
"Now you willing to answer my questions?" Enju gives off another smug smile.
Two quick nods from the boy seals the deal.
She brings out a map and holds it out for the boy to see. It's a pretty standard map of the country, with stars for capitals and hundreds of small towns marked with a circle. The kid points to one of the circles far down south near the border.
She pours out a bowl of soup for the kid, "Now carrot soup, the superior way and only way anyone should eat carrots."
The kid takes it an immediately starts eating with a nice smile, a change from his frown.
"Now, start explaining this land." Enju takes a little bite out of the seasoned carrot. Soft... even father would be proud of this. Taking a sip of the broth also warrants a prideful smile. It's hot and warm with a burst of flavor. I should kept this recipe for pops later.
"Finally feel like explaining now?"
"U-um y-yes?" The boy gives off a tasty slurp of her soup.
"What is this continent?" She sits and gives an intense gaze towards the boy.
"I-it's the land of lukcor. I-it's a land made of h-humans ruled by Nicholas the second." He looks like he's about to fall asleep any moment with those massive grey bags under those helpless eyes.
"Before falling asleep care to show me the direction to your home so I can carry you while you sleep?" I want a bed... the floor hurts my neck and back.
He points in the direction in which he came from and passes out. What in the world kept him up for him to develop such bags. Enju picks his body up and starts following the direction he showed her.
A fit body is super useful, never would I be able to carry a teens body with such ease. The soft ground feels nice to step on, feels like there's weight in each of my step.
She eventually comes upon a small cabin, seems almost rundown. Walking inside is actually well kept and clean, she walks on inside the bedroom and places the kid on the bed.
Someone's watching
With a turn Enju raises her staff, it's an old hunched back lady. She's coughing a bit, "d-did Banny get in trouble?" She has on tired eyes with a wrinkled face frowning.
"A-ah no, he's a good kid. I was just dropping him off as he passed out asleep." I can't say that my only reason for coming here was for a bed, that'll look... not the best.
"Ah.. w-well we don't have much but I could make some hot water for you." She has a heartfelt smile, she's really doing her best for a stranger. Ah I got an itch to cook now.
"Do your stoves still work? I'd like to make some rice and pork." It seems her eyes widen a bit.
"W-we don't have any ig-" she starts having a coughing session.
"You're sick correct? Then what do you need to get better?" I shouldn't do anymore than this, I can't be helping everyone I see. Even if I do rule the land if I'm too kind I'll lose respect.
"E-expensive medicine I'm afraid." It seems she's already checked this route.
"How expensive?"
"F-four thousand velvets... twice the cost of this cabin..."
Stop with that face... you're gonna make me. Ahhhh just this one time.
Enju reaches into the pouch with velvet on her mind. She pulls out red sets of clothings but no currency. She tries again this time more focused on velvet papers. Sure enough she takes out a bundle of velvet papers, red in color with a beautiful design. She checks the number only to find she's hold stacks of 1,000.
"H-how much would this be?" Enju extends her arm holding the velvet only to be met with a wide eyed face.
"T-this is the most I've seen in my life, at least 50,000 velvets..." she seems almost amazed but holds the money back out. "I-i can't use it, I would be troubling you with our problems..."
"Well what is this medicine even called? I'll go out and buy it." Enju starts getting ready to leave the room.
"It's called... Frosted leaf, an-" With that cough Enju is already out the door. She flicks her staff up, bringing the ground under her and Gly into the air. She sees a lit up town, a nice change from the grey darkened forest.
Sending the piece of ground towards the city she lands outside the city and hops off the rock watching Gly. He seems reluctant to get off his rock. "Something wrong buckaroo?"
He gives off a puzzled look before running back to the forest. Enju walks upon the town road to find the yellow tinted town not using electricity. She walks a little closer to one of the posts of light and inspects it. She finds a stone with a circle on it, a magic circle she presumes with the yellow tint stones. She finds people looking at her weirdly as she places the stone back. She starts walking around amazed by how clean the streets are. The houses are built from white materials. It looks a lot like a Victorian London build but with more rounded buildings. Wood seems prevalent also with a wooden statue in the middle of the town.
She starts looking for a Red Cross around town but rather than that there's instead a wooden sign with a bottle and some herbs next to it. "I probably should've expected that..."
Enju gives a little knock before entering. She finds on the door another magic circles she turns the knob and opens it. Shelves lined with magic potions and little plants. It's like a library of potions, walking through she finds the cashier. A large witch hat that's three times the size of the small head supporting it. Her pointy ears point down as she looks up, a small structure she looks up with her glasses shining.
"How May I be of assistance?" She gives off a nice fake smile, forced like her father's.
"Do you have something called frosted leaf? A sort of medicine?" Enju is met with skeptical eyes.
"We have it, the problem is if you have the pay." How much are velvets compared to US dollars... need to compare products once I get out.
"I have this." Enju pulls out the bundle of velvet. "How much is it?" She gives off a smug smile, try to underestimate me again.
The cashier's eyes open wide. "I-it'll be 4500 velvets."
Enju pulls out five and gives it to her. With that she brings out a fancy looking bottle with a blue liquid splashing around. Enju takes it and starts walking out but before she can do that she finds a cloaked person running out of the store. She passes by the door and suddenly a golem forms from outside the store.
It flings its arm towards the thief upon the open streets. With a roll the thief easily dodges, he turns back at the golem with a prideful smile.
You know you remind me of the people that sent me here. Enju taps on her staff circle and captures the man in a sphere of gravity. She suspends him above the air and walks over to him. She picks up the bag that he stole and flings his body into the ground.
He coughs up blood when landing and seems to have passed out. "Pitiful even if you do have a good reason, to give off a prideful smile is a sign you're not worth ignoring."
She finds guards arriving late with rope and magic circles they tie him up.
"Hey she looks familiar! Like the one on the fugitives list on our board!" Criminal. Me? I just stopped a criminal. Ah? In which way am I a criminal. It's not true right.
The guard next to her turns and tries grabbing her but before she knows it her body acted on its own. This body knows the truth, not Enju. She starts accepting the truth and books it high tail out of there.
Golems starts forming in front of her but she leaves them in the air with ease. She finally reaches the forest, catching the wind in her lungs again. "Why was that so tiring. It wasn't even a long distance. Unless..." she looks at her staff. Ah of course, there should always be a trade off.
She finds Gly who's a little bigger, chewing on something in his mouth. "Sup. Glad to see someone enjoying their time here."
Gly just keeps chewing confused. Enju starts going back towards the cabin, seems like they aren't chasing.
Once entering the cabin's clearing, the grey darkness isn't there. Instead lays a blanket of fire, roaring high in the skies with a group of people watching the fire.
Enju taps her circle. "Explode."
Body's bloat up, exploding into an air of red.
