Chapter 11 - 2.3 (Relief)

Gly's eyes wander a little to the left, then back to the right, his eyes making sure to protect what he knows. He starts going through his head trying to figure out how Enju is healing so fast and so effortlessly. Even at the face of death, nothing comes up at first. All his understanding of magic is slowly shattering as magic circles and magic weapons don't amount to how she could have done it. His eyes are getting sleepy, his iris flickering.

I should've rested more...

As he falls asleep he tries creating a magic circle, but he loses to the seeping fall of darkness upon his eyelids. Gly is left standing in front of a door, it's a door, larger than even the planets. His body couldn't even compare to be an ant to the door. The ground a purple void, and on the door resides the beautiful dragon language. A language that flows perfectly connecting words to the period.

It reads, A gift for the next king

Gly walks up to the door and taps it a little. His vast purple land disappears along with the doors. Now he sits upon a desolate landscape, snow falling everywhere. From the blizzard comes a woman, red eyes with silver hair. She points her staff at him and the ground turns into the ceiling. A major headache ensues when a hundreds of memories, no millions of memories all exploding in his head. He sees visions of the past, knowledge that holds hundreds of invaluable information about the land. But most of all the enemy of his people, the one who murdered the race.

Long silver hair

Alongside bleeding red eyes

======================================

Enju sits, trying her best to be casual. Her father sitting up on the bed, he pats his left side of the bed. Streams of sweat explode onto Enju's face, every step feels like a mistake.

I should've stayed back, I might get my dad in a lot of trouble. I shouldn't have done this, this wasn't a good idea...

"Well both patients seem to be healthy, you'll be discharged tomorrow."

Wait... what...

"But it's only been a few days?"

"Your wounds are all healed up."

"My fathers?"

"Healed."

"How?"

"We don't exactly know it's weird, you healed up fatal wounds really quickly." The doctor's head tilts. "Would you happen to know?"

"Not at all." How... now this is an issue alright, it'll get suspicious.

"If you're afraid that your inside might not be completely healed how about I recommend you these pain killers for when the pain is unbearable." Calmly the bottle of pill lands upon Enju's palm.

"O-okay..."

"Now I'll be leaving now, do be careful." Was I worrying for no reason? Is he not an enemy...

Enju spins the bottle around, checking out its contents. Don't really know what a pain killer bottle is comprised of...

Enju places the bottle on the desk next to her fathers bed. She attacks her father's arm with the "5 days of worrying about death hug" something is wrong though. His thick hands from days ago seem to have lost weight. Not only that a second look at his face shows a much younger man.

He pats her head casually, "sorry... for making you worried again."

"I-it's alright no need to be sorry." The voice is the same along with his eyes and hair. "Dad, is this really you?"

"You still want that drink from the gas station?" He smiles, wide. A smile you would give after telling someone about your progression in life, a smile warm enough to break open the heart of the Antarctic.

Enju's breath pauses for a second before digging into her fathers arm. Crying, no. Wailing aloud as she holds him tightly. No words exchanged, just the sweet release of stress. Her fathers hand strokes her hair as the rush of tears continue.

Enju's voice finally stop with the waterfall shortly following. Enju, with her recovering voice, answers her father. "You already know the answer, idiot."

From the window however, enju finds the silver hair boy. Watching he has a frown on him, Enju immediately jumps up and runs towards the window. Immediately the boy's body drops as soon as she gets near him.

"Something wrong cherry?"

"N-no, nothing at all. Also didn't you say you were gonna stop calling me that once I get to high school!"

"I made no promises."

Enju turns to her father, "I made no promises to going for a drink."

"Ah too bad you'll be missing out." D- he's gone on the attack... what happened... it's not only his face that's changed. I need to find out what happened...

"Fine! Call me what you want, just don't leave me behind." Her father chuckles a good hah, the day just barely reaching dawn as Enju sits next to her father.

The air stands as still as trees on a windless night. Nothing could ruin the washing feeling of Enju's heart. Put at rest by her dad's safety, yet a growing worry emerges.

The future, people are after her and they might even use her father. Along with one already following me. The silver haired kid, who shows the future?

Enju holds her father's hand as he is taking a nap. Seemingly tired, I want to protect you. Like how you've protected my childhood, so... I'll be sure to bring back that power from that world to you. Like how Mr. Kori did, or... should I kill all of them to protect you.

Enju lays her head on her father's arm, Killing... only kill when I need to... the weak above the strong.

If I kill because they're after him then... I'm right
