Princess Tegwen finally stood up from the table and started to go to her chambers, as she made her way up the stairs she looked out the window and saw the bright moonlight as well as Cardigan Bay in the distance. 'Are these north men really as bad as her mother stated? would they really attack the city if they don't get their way? Why are they here?' She wondered, so many thoughts ran through her mind. Vikings usually went after the bigger kingdoms like Gwynedd and Powys. She has never seen a Viking as she was always locked away in the castle so to speak, her parents wouldn't let her venture out of the walls. They always stated "It is unbecoming of a princess and focus on your studies." But she couldn't help but wonder what they looked and acted like.
"My lady?" A voice asked behind her bringing her back to reality. "Yes." She replied as she turned around and looked at her maid Mary. "Are you alright? I have been calling for you and you did not answer." Mary replied, Tegwen simply smiled. "Oh I didn't realize. Yes I am alright just lost in thought." She stated as she walked towards her lady in waiting. "Of course your highness." Mary curtsied. Tegwen continued to her chambers with Mary in tow and with thought of the Vikings that people despise so much.
The sun started to rise as the Vikings began to get prepared for their trip to Cilgerran Castle. Sharpening their blades and being battle prepared in case the talk with the king ends badly, which they wouldn't mind since they love for the fight and battle. "Brothers, today we journey to Cilgerran Castle to talk to the king who owes us fees for our king." Ulf shouted causing his men to cheer and bang on their shields. Ulf smirked and grabbed his own ax and shield as they all began their trek to the castle.
