Raion's minutes were not very different, daily five prayers from the worshippers, sacrifices from the church, reports of the spread of their faith to him. The routine had gotten boring after a few years now.
"Sigh, I'm bored, there really isn't anything enough to interest me anymore. When i first awakened although I was born with wisdom, everything still felt so colourful, now the world looks so black and white,"
He didn't know what drove him to do so, but Raion tried to talk to the Omniverse after years of no contact with it. At first, the questions he asked the Omniverse were simple and basic, like the kind one would ask a stranger that had the prospect of becoming a friend.
Then, they became deep, he began asking questions like: "Do you think there is an existence greater than you, like a Beyond Omniverse?"
The Omniverse could not answer directly through speech and stuff like that, and after Raion's multiple probing and observations, it seemed that that was what he was created for.
. . .
Today, the Omniverse seemed to be a bit active. Raion wondered why, so he asked.
The strings that stirred all the powers in the Omniverse, formed words in the black space called void. The words were in Aeonical English. They said:
"I found somewhere for you to escape the void."
Raion was alarmed at this statement that came out of nowhere.
"Where is it, does that mean that there really is somewhere beyond the Omniverse?"
"Uhh, not exactly. It's a special universe in the void." The strings replied.
"Oh, what makes this place so special?"
"It is hidden in the deepest parts of my innards (To make this clear, the Omniverse is the word that is used to refer to the connection of different universes. And as for my understanding of the void, my own definition that is; the void is the place where the universes reside in, and so in theory, the void is part of the Omniverse or even the Omniverse itself. Whichever sound more reasonable)."
"Oh, and so?"
"This makes this place inaccessible to normal people for now."
"And by that you mean..."
"Yes, the legendary Ancient Ones and Seraphim reside in it."
"Ohoho, I've never fought those people yet. What is the name of this universe and what are its coordinates?"
"The name is Myriad Fantasy Universe, and the coordinates are XXX XXX (location unable to be disclosed due to my laziness)."
"Hehehe, everywhere is still black and white, but I see a tinge of grey now!"
"Be careful, those Ancient Ones and Seraphim are ferocious, they will try any means to stop you from entering that universe."
"Un."
And without saying anything more, the little soul set out on what seemed like his most interesting journey ever. The Omniverse knew this was his nature, he would not bother waiting for anyone. Maybe it never happened, but the threads that guided the Omniverse formed another set of words in the void.
"Have fun, son."
. . .
The days (months) moved swiftly like Raion's wandering nature, each moment was like a passing memory. The routine changed though, instead of the usual pray-sacrifice-report routine, it was the new routine pray-sacrifice-report... Sigh, it was the same after all.
But his years on the road to the Myriad Fantasy Universe had made everything so new, it was only now that he realized that everything was the same.
'Sigh, almost time for the report of the minute.'
And just like he thought, the report that Albion had prepared came to him;
'Lord Raion. Good Minute (he knows about Raion's weird reaction to different times), the church has spread to twenty more universes, more powerhouses of the universe have begun to accept the Church's benevolence. Do you have any mort orders to further our current progression?'
"Hmm, spread the secret prayer chance that only members of the church have access to."
'But won't people doubt us as an evil church?'
This response was expected. Most people worshipped Chaos and Seruvim who have recently come to be known as 'Neutral Gods' by the public. Only a few people know about the underlying currents that were presently happening beyond the mortal world. So due to some other factors, most other rising religions have been regarded as heretical by the two main churches.
"Oh, let them doubt, they are plenty of curious folks who have nothing to lose. They will pray, and you all of my Church of the Noble God will promise riches, women and other dumb shit to them, they, in turn, will be more inclined to keep praying. When this happens, intentionally fail to fulfil the promise made, thus; we will have driven them to the brink of madness, when this madness reaches its peak they will have the sudden urge to grow stronger and gain revenge. And make sure, make sure you only do this to people who have signs of reaching a mental breakdown! Got it?"
'Yes Lord, but a question, please.'
"You may ask."
'Why do all this?'
"Isn't it obvious! Our sailing is too smooth. We need some form of danger to our existence, multiple if possible. I need someone to come after me, I am tired of this boring life. I want a challenge!"
His Lord's voice sounded like it was frustrated beyond everything. It sounded so scary, so he just licked his ass a little bit before proceeding to ask the last question.
'My Lord, we still haven't decided on a sacred emblem, so we decided to ask for your opinion.'
"Use this!"
Raion's voice boomed within Albion's mind. Albion, in turn, wondered what Raion was talking about, but then suddenly felt like his brain was about to explode.
'W-W-what is happening?!'
"The emblem you will use is arriving within your mind now,"
Hearing it was something done by the sometimes-deranged God of his, he nodded and endured the pain for a while. Meanwhile, the emblem had already reached Albion's mind.
'I-it is...'
Yes. He had seen that emblem before, it wasn't actually an emblem, it was the eye of a God!
More accurately. It was a crimson eye that had a bronze, kite-shaped monocle on it. That was how the emblem of the Church came to be.
