Tracy
I took my phone from Alec and immediately called Emily's number. Fear and guilt was all I felt as I waiting for her to pick up her phone. I'd hoped she'd answer her damn phone because that would mean she was still alive. After what felt like hours, she answered. Relief washed over me but the guilt stuck to me like glue.
"Oh, thank god, Emily! Are you ok? Oh, I am so sorry for leaving you! I never should have ran. I should have waited," I babbled while tears were streaming down my face.
"Tracy, take a breath dear, I am fine. I was so worried about you. You didn't answer your phone and it was like you disappeared. Where are you, by the way?"
The next moment my phone was being taken out of my hands. I stared at Alec dumbfounded. How fucking dare he! I was about to take my phone back when he started speaking to Emily.
"Emily, this is Alec. Tracy is safe here but I think it would be a good idea if you could get here. We need to talk," and just like that, he ended the phone call and put my phone in his pocket.
"What the fuck is wrong with you? And how will Emily know where here is?"
Alec started walking towards me with a sexy grin on his face, it looked more like stalking than anything else. I backed away but felt the wall against my back. As he neared me I started to panic. I do not know him. Even if I do feel a weird attraction towards him, I do not know what he's capable of.
Out of instinct my hands went into a defensive position in front of my face. I felt my hands being taken softly and when I opened my eyes I was looking into those two electric blue glowing eyes, it was hypnotizing and scary at the same time.
"Tracy, I will never hurt you, that I promise you." The way he spoke to me was soft and almost caring. He didn't let go of my hand as we kept looking into each other's eyes.
"About Emily, we are old friends, she knows how to get here." I heard what he was saying but I couldn't stop staring into those mesmerizing eyes. I knew those eyes were not normal, nothing about these feelings I had was normal.
The knock on the door made me jump and pull my hands out of his. I was feeling really confused about why I felt so strongly attracted to Alec. It was a feeling like I knew I would never be the same when I leave here.
Quinn stepped inside and I could see that Alec was not happy that Quinn had interrupted. Although he was looking at us apologetically, he looked scared. This amused me, such a big muscular man was looking scared.
"Uh Alec, we uh... We have a guest and she is about to tear up this whole town. I mean she's going crazy, I have never seen Emily like this." That's all I needed to hear as I bolted out of the door.
When I got outside, I saw Emily walking towards Alec's office and I ran to her. When she saw me she opened her arms for me. When the hugging was over, she looked over my shoulder.
"Alec, great to see you. Thank you for taking care of Tracy. Unfortunately we will not be staying." I have never seen someone move this fast. In a split second Alec was beside me, looking like he was about to kill Emily. Emily looked at me, then back to Alec and it looked like something in her brain clicked. What it was I did not know.
"Em, how did you get here so fast? We were just on the phone with you," I asked confused.
"I will tell you later," Emily said and looked around. "I hate this place," she groaned.
"Alec, have you explained anything to Tracy?" Emily asked looking at Alec with a seriousness I haven't seen her do before.
"Explain what to me Em?" I was confused again.
"No, Emily, I was still trying to figure out how Tracy got here and why. If you haven't magically "poofed" here I would have gotten to it." Alec was giving Emily a deathly glare.
"All right, what the fuck is going on here? What are you talking about?" I asked annoyed and pissed off. Emily took my hand and looked at me again.
"We will explain dear. Alec, where can we go to talk? This has to happen fast because we have a problem." For a moment I thought Alec wasn't going to answer.
"The pub is empty, let's go," was all he said before he turned away and started walking towards the pub. We followed a few steps behind. Quinn was waiting at the door and Emily stiffened beside me. I turned to her only to find her staring at Quinn.
"Great to see you again, Em," Quinn said, only having eyes for Emily.
"It's Emily, Quinn. Wish I could say the same. Let's just get this over with," Emily said and walked through the door. I have never seen this side of Emily before.
We all sat down and Emily was not about to make this a very long talk.
"Tracy, what do you know about the supernatural world?" Emily asked with a straight face.
What the fuck was she asking me that for? "Come on Em, we know that's all unreal." I didn't know what else to say.
"No Tracy, it's not. I am a witch, Tracy, and currently we are in a whole town full of Weretigers."
Why would she mess with me like this? But then again, Emily's eyes did turn purple and it fucking glowed and Alec's eyes... oh god, this is real. I was running from an abusive husband right into a damn freakshow. Emily took my silence as a sign to continue.
"There are a lot more supernatural species in this world, living amongst humans and adapting. We were created by the Moon Goddess, and to fast forward, the Moon Goddess blessed all supernaturals with a mate. A mate is basically your soul mate. Once you meet your mate you cannot live without them, they are your other halve. You can try, but the longer you are away from your mate, the faster your soul dies. Tracy, Alec is your mate, dear." Emily took both my hands in hers and looked at me worriedly.
All I could do was stare at Alec, this man was my mate, the one I was meant to be with for life... this was just a lot to take in. I stood up and walked outside. When I turned around, Quinn was just looking at me sadly. I walked towards him and studied his face.
"Quinn, is Emily your mate?"
