Scarlet's parents jump at her the instant they see her but Thomas makes up an excuse and her parents let it go.
As Scarlet sits at the table waiting with the others for the food, she tries to understand what is happening.
"I remember this day... I hung out with Thomas before dinner and fell in the river after he kissed me, it took me by surprise..." she thinks looking at her lap.
When she looks up at Thomas who sits across the table, facing her, an arrow goes through his head while he is smiling sweetly at her. The arrow just goes through him like he is a cloud.
Scarlet doesn't have time to react when another arrow comes out of nowhere and another and another until it's raining with arrows.
Someone grabs her and drags her away by her waist, everything around her, her home, her family, clears away like fog.
Scarlet finds herself in an unknown big hall, she sees all kinds of strange creatures fighting big black beasts like the one from the forest.
She blinks away tears noticing her clothes aren't wet at all but ignores it and looks at the one who saved her and is still holding her bridelike and running to the exit.
"T-Trystan!..."
"We meet again, lady wizardess" he says winking at her and showing his charming smile
"What's happening?"
"I will explain everything when we're safe, just hold tight!"
Scarlet burries her face in Trystan's chest and hugs him by his neck.
After some time, Trystan tells her they are going to jump in some water so she should hold very tight. Scarlet does so without lifting her head and they jump.
She waits to meet with the water but instead the two of them are just falling in the air.
The girl lifts up her head and sees the cliff from where they fell.
"Trystaaaaan!!! You said water! Where is it!!?" she screams digging her nails in Trystan's back
"Calm down Scarlet! There is water, a few feet under us!"
Scarlet doesn't say anything but screams in the boy's chest wraping her legs around his torso. He laughs and wraps her protectively in a tight hug.
Finnaly, they meet with the cold water that slaps them good.
Still holding each other, they jump out of the lake from the second level of the forest.
After arriving at Trystan's house and sitting on the couch facing each other, Scarlet starts the conversation.
"Well...?"
"Ok, well... you saw the war from the tower right?"
"Yes"
"You saw those big black monsters?"
"Yes, of course, just get straight to the point!"
"Those beasts were after you, they wanted to stop your initiation and kill you, but failed, so now they want to kill you more"
"Who sent them?"
"The biggest and most powerful monster in the forest, of course"
"The one who killed Salastor?"
"Who else?"
"So...now what?"
"Tomorrow i will take you to a special place to see your powers and help you with them"
"Cool...How long was i in the initiation?"
"The whole day"
"Intresting...."
"What happened there?"
"Nothing special..."
"We'll see tomorrow what effect had this nothing on you.."
"Can't wait!" Scarlet says heading to get some sleep
"But, just so you know, Scarlet... you charmed me from the first second we meet~" the elf teases
The girl doesn't turn around because her face is red like a tomato and just continues on her way.
Trystan chuckles and makes himself comfortable on the sofa.
